Louis Vuitton Game On Collection

Fashion is a game. Presented during Louis Vuitton’s Cruise 2021 Collection by Artistic Director of Women’s Collections Nicolas Ghesquière, Game On sees creative freedom playing with canvas and lines mingling between the Monogram flowers and four suits of a card deck. French actor and Louis Vuitton ambassador Léa Seydoux embodies this new collection and jumps into a fantasy illusion where clubs bloom, spades pierce, diamonds sparkle, and the almighty heart reigns. Through a transversal collection, Game On plays its ace on the House’s most iconic pieces including leather goods, ready-to-wear, shoes and accessories.

Game On Canvas sees the Monogram reinterpreted on a black or white background with contrasting colours of bright blue and poppy red – a tiny heart replaces the House’s signature blossom. Here, the Petite Malle and Vanity PM in black and white make for an eye-catching statement. The geometric Square bag in white leather with a golden chain ups the ante.

The Dauphine, Speedy, Neverfull, and Keepall in Game On Monogram are adorned with enlarged suits of cards, giant hearts and blossoms in vivid red, blue, pink and purple, paired with golden hardware. A pair of Archlight trainers in white with leather trimmings sport a bright red heart, perfect to pair with the Paname bags duo. The queen of hearts, the Monogram Heart bag, stands true to its name as the first ever heart shaped bag. Raising the stakes, Capucines BB in white Taurillon leather and the Twist in white Epi leather complete this game of illusion.

My three favorites: Dauphine, Speedy and the Archlight trainers.

A royal flush, the collection expresses a particular art of living that keeps the trunk-making heritage alive. It’s the symbolism of a deck of cards, the traveller’s loyal companion, endless entertainment that cultivates togetherness. Game On is a lighthearted adventure in which all of the House’s spheres of expertise play a role, driven by passionate craftsmanship, their winning hand.

Already available in selected Louis Vuitton stores worldwide.

CHANEL Bedtime Routine

Sleep is a vital, often neglected, component of every person’s overall health and well-being. Sleep is important because it enables the body to repair and be fit and ready for another day. Getting adequate rest may also help prevent excess weight gain, heart disease, and increased illness duration. CHANEL has some amazing products for a luxurious bedtime routine. Indulge in this caring and perfuming ritual for the face and body to wake up relaxed and glowing.

CHANEL HYDRA BEAUTY Camellia Repair Mask

Hydrating is the key for a beautiful skin. While relaxing in the evening, I recommend to use this multi-use hydrating comforting face mask formulated with camellia wax to help look in moisture and panthenol, a moisturizing ingredient that protects the skin. The ultra-rich texture provides instant comfort while protecting the skin barrier. It has a leave-on formula, for all skin types.

CHF 75.00 (50g)

CHANEL LE LIFT Crème de Nuit

Once the mask is kind of absorbed, this smoothing and firming night cream for face and neck will do the rest. It has botanical alfalfa concentrate which is as efficient as retinol but gentle on the skin. The dual-action Neuractif Night Complex gives skin a renewed look.

CHF 176.00 (50g)

CHANEL SUBLIMAGE L’Extrait de Nuit

If you want to indulge in pure luxury, this high-power skincare is the thing for you. A regenerating and restoring night concentrate that helps skin reconnect to its natural restoring cycle. This incredibly sensorial, highly concentrated serum contains naturally derived chronopeptide, plus Vanilla Planifolia and neroli fermented elixirs complex for ultimate power. Upon awaking, skin looks rested and radiant. Night after night, the complexion appears restored and strengthened.

CHF 690.00 (40ml)

«With L’EAU PRIVÉE, I wanted to create a light and delicate version of COCO MADEMOISELLE, imagining a night fragrance like a soft and sensual veil
Olivier Polge, Perfumer-Creator for the House of CHANEL

CHANEL MADEMOISELLE L’Eau Privée

For the first time, Olivier Polge has imagined a night fragrance. Composed around a delicate accord of jasmine absolute and rose petal notes, L’Eau Privée exalts the most sensual and softest musk notes of the COCO MADEMOISELLE fragrance. It’s the ultimate touch before night falls.
I love to apply it on my pulse points, where the skin is warmest: on the wrists, behind the ears, in the dip of the décolleté or at the nape of the neck, or even to scent the hair.

CHF 101.00 (50 ml) and CHF 149.00 (100ml)

Screen icon Marilyn Monroe famously said in an interview in 1952 that she wore «five drops of Chanel No. 5» and nothing else in bed. I am going to say, I only wear a spritz of L’Eau Privée.

Stay tuned as I will show you my very personal nighttime routine next month…

Louis Vuitton Trunk Table Clock

The trunk table clock is the latest addition to today’s objects of desire. The perfect combination
of the art of travel, close to Louis Vuitton’s heart, and watchmaking craftmanship. Rather than just an accessory, a timepiece showcased in its tailor-made trunk.

The table clock, made to the same high standards as a watch, reproduces the Tambour Moon Dual Time concave dial and makes the perfect gift for a watch-loving connoisseur.

Similarly, it features a double time-zone, essential for globetrotters, and a bright dial displaying coloured flags. These emblematic Louis Vuitton symbols call to mind the customised patterns of the trunks of bygone days. As for the 80 mm-diameter hemispheric steel case suspended in its trunk, it draws inspiration from 18th century navy chronometers – indispensable, high-precision tools for long-distance navigators, allowing them to calculate longitude. A counterweight makes this table clock automatically turn towards the person opening the trunk for the utmost visibility. Once extracted from its case, it will keep this orientation when placed on a table or desk.

The trunk, a travel icon since the House was founded in 1854, acts as a case. Covered in Monogram Eclipse canvas on the outside, the trunk’s interior is lined in microfibre, reproducing the flags on the dial and the Louis Vuitton signature. With its symbolic trunk, the Trunk Table Clock sits perfectly in tune with Louis Vuitton’s heritage and further celebrates the exceptional Art of Travel.

My Look: The First Look

This will be my first look when I am done packing! Comfy yet stylish, Isabel Marant‘s designs are always a great choice when you want to feel cool. After weeks of being in trainers and having broken finger nails, I am so ready to go out after my move. You might think I am crazy but I am a big collector of everything. Therefore we, the moving company and I, do the move in steps which is actually great. For me, the current pandemic is a blessing, I have definitely no fomo (fear of missing out). I am filled with anticipation when everything is over and the world will be my oyster!

My look: Albi draped printed silk crepe de chine midi dressicon, Azale cotton-blend turtleneck sweater, Kressy leather belticon, and Duerto embroidered leather bootsicon, all by Isabel Marant, vintage purple fringed bag with stone embellishment by Etro and  Tank Française 18-karat gold and stainless steel watch by Cartier.

The Best Fondue Experience in Zurich

Last year, I truly enjoyed the KRUG Chalet at The Dolder Grand and went there many times to indulge in the best fondue ever. It’s back this year slightly smaller due to the pandemic situation but not less yummy. Inside the so-called KRUG Carnotzet Pop-up coziness meets exclusivity. Carnotzet is a French-Swiss word meaning a small room beside the wine cellar where one samples wines.

There you can enjoy «DAS Fondue», the most extraordinary fondue creation by star chef Heiko Nieder, Chef Fine Dining at the Dolder Grand, and the well-known Swiss Maître Fromager Rolf Beeler, with a noble champagne accompaniment from Maison KRUG. As a perfect complement, five carefully selected exclusivities from the KRUG «Single Ingredient Program» create a surprising, challenging and contrasting gourmand experience.

Every year,  Maison KRUG challenges its ambassadors, top chefs from all over the world, to create dishes from just one ingredient. The most popular ingredients from different years and various occasions were integrated into this year’s menu under the motto «World of Craft Style».

To finish off the experience, guests are served a selection of three meat specialties: Morcon de Chorizo, Pata Negra and salami with truffle. In addition to common bread and potatoes, green olives, anchovies and quail eggs pickled in peperoncini macinati will be served. Each guest also enjoys half a bottle of Krug Grande Cuvée as well as mineral water and coffee or tea. The breathtaking view of Zurich and the Alps is free.

The KRUG Carnotzet Pop-up will be open until the end of February 2021 (with the option of an extension). This year, it is kept particularly intimate, as the Carnotzet can only accommodate up to four people.

Price for two people: CHF 450.-. To book, click here.

The Teddy Bear Icon Coat by Max Mara

Founded in the city of Reggio Emilia in 1951, Max Mara represents the «epitome of Italian quality and craftsmanship.» The brand is adored for its coats and modern, sophisticated approach to wardrobe classics that transcend seasons and trends. Beautiful fabrics define each collection.

My personal hero piece: Teddy Bear Icon camel hair and silk-blend coat by Max Mara

An ode to extravagance in both form and fabric, the Teddy Bear coat shot to icon status on its debut in 2013. An «It Coat» from conception, the cocoon-like oversized cut and plush faux fur of camel hair on silk make it a must-have for women worldwide; Heidi Klum, Karlie Kloss and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley a among them.

Julia Roberts’ favorite: Teddy Bear Icon Short alpaca, wool and silk-blend coat by Max Mara

Teddy coats can be seen everywhere, but I do love an original. The Max Mara teddy coat is a true classic, an iconic investment piece. Try it on and you will be instantly transported back to your bed. They are the coolest, coziest and warmest outerwear you can dream of. You won’t want to take them off and let’s face it, they look so damn good you don’t even need to worry about what’s underneath them.

Optical Glasses

No matter if you need them or not, wearing glasses will give you a polished, distinguished and different look. Regardless of your outfit, glasses can help you enhance your unique style and improve how people perceive you in the process. Almost all psychologists agree that glasses-wearers look more qualified and trustworthy. I got myself a pair of glasses that filter out the blue light spectrum to cut down on digital eye strain, which was a great decision.

Below are some optical designer frames I truly like. Make them a statement! It is a little investment for a great output. The attention will be all yours…

Happy Friday 13th – I keep on packing!

My Look: Under Construction

I am moving houses at the moment. The only problem is that the new house is not ready yet and completely under construction. It is a fact, there is no way you can live there. Therefore I need to move in an interim solution and store some of my stuff. No fun, I can assure you that. However, I am not losing my smile and lend a hand with the refurbishing whenever I can. In style… of course.

My look: Intarsia knitted track jacketicon, and matching knitted track pants, both by Stella McCartney, ruffled boxy shirt in olive green by Miu Miu, heart monogram-print face mask by Dolce & Gabbana, Multi Pochette Accessories in monogram canvas and rubber LV Archlight sneaker, both by Louis Vuitton.

Opera gloves are all the rage elevating any day outfit to another level of style.
