Tiffany & Co. presents its latest high jewelry campaign starring actress
Gal Gadot, who stuns in sparkling new designs from BOTANICA: Blue Book 2022, the pinnacle of the House’s jewelry portfolio. Shot in a pared-down environment, the photography features Gadot in key pieces from the spring Blue Book collection, including a dandelion-inspired diamond necklace
that can transform into five unique designs, as well as an orchid brooch, also transformable, and a
diamond and sapphire necklace that evokes thistles.

Designs from Tiffany & Co.’s BOTANICA collection, Blue Book 2022, celebrating the timeless beauty of flora with these high jewelry pieces.

Gadot’s campaign represents the House’s first advertising venture with the actress. In addition to the new Blue Book designs, Gadot also wears several of Jean Schlumberger’s masterworks featured in BOTANICA, including his iconic Bird on a Rock brooch and the Fleurage bracelet. An exquisite creation that Tiffany & Co. artisans brought to life for the first time, the Fleurage bracelet is based on a sketch for a design that Jean Schlumberger once considered for the legendary Tiffany Diamond.

My Look: Mystical NYC

Mystical New York City… I was three times in the American metropole last month and every time I experienced different weather, from sunny blue skies to freezing temperatures to lots of rain. However, the latter didn’t stop me to photograph my outfits. Surprisingly, the rainy backdrop added an interesting touch to the photos. I love how the transparency of the dress blends in with the concrete of the city. And I finally got to wear my new boots from the Jimmy Choo x Mugler collaboration.

Jean Paul Gaultier x Lotta Volkova

Renowned French Haute Couture label Jean Paul Gaultier (JPG) and stylist of the moment Lotta Volkova have collaborated on a ready-to-wear capsule consisting of bra dresses, corset tops and soft tailoring. As the in-house stylist for Vetements and Balenciaga, Volkova has been integral to the creative vision of both houses. In this capsule you will see her style fuse beautifully with the signature aesthetic JPG is known for.

Sandra’s Closet Is Back

The past weeks my world was upside down…. my dear readers, please accept my sincere apologies for not posting during the past weeks. Instead of publishing daily, you haven’t received a newsletter since Easter Sunday. This has never happened in 12.5 years I am doing this job.

The reason for it was that my web host got hacked. The attack was not specifically concerning my blog, it was the host itself. Unfortunately, during the recovery process, we realized that posts had disappeared and it took quite some time to recover the work I have established since 2009. Now, everything is back, I apologize if you received some newsletters double due to the recovery process.

Those who are following me on Instagram, have seen that I have been traveling a lot the past days. I had an amazing time in New York City and Puerto Rico that I am so eager to show you. Sometimes, it also feels nice to take some time off.

I would like to take this opportunity and thank you for the wonderful messages I have received during the past days. Some of you were so sweet to wonder what was going on with Sandra’s Closet. It made me realize how much I have missed blogging.

Back on track from now… you will see a lot of posts, already published and coming up, stay tuned! Don’t get confused with the dates of the posts, I dated them back as I don’t want to loose my streak of daily posting and they had been planned for those days …

Miu Wander – The Miu Miu Bag Campaign

Wander – to roam, to explore, indulge curiosity. To discover. Those instincts inspire the Miu Wander handbag by Miuccia Prada, that I showed you for the first time in January (click here for the previous post), a rediscovery and re-exploration of the identity of Miu Miu, through a new perspective.

The Miu Wander delineates the codes of Miu Miu with a fresh attitude. In the same spirit, the actor Sydney Sweeney – of Euphoria and The White Lotus – stars as the face of the Miu Wander, within a campaign photographed by Tyrone Lebon. The spirit of rebellion embodied by Sydney’s characters mirrors the ethos of Miu Miu, a twisted luxury energised by youthful rule-breaking – the hallmark of the Miu Miu girl, here embodied anew.

Across the campaign, Sydney is reframed within her craft, captured in imagery that recalls classic film stills. These portraits seem like fragments of a wider narrative, enigmatic and elusive – switching between different contexts, different moods and feelings, they encourage the viewer to imagine scenarios, devise plots. They inspire the mind to wander.

Rituals Cosmetics and Earth Day

Today, Rituals Cosmetics announces its biggest investment yet to support the wellbeing of the planet by planting, protecting or restoring a tree for every refill sold. In collaboration with its partners, the brand aims to grow 5 million trees globally by the end of 2022. Rituals became a Certified B CorporationTM earlier this year, and this commitment marks another important step in Rituals’ continuous journey to sustainable wellbeing.

WITHOUT TREES, THE PLANET CANNOT SURVIVE
The United Nations defines trees to be key in reaching sustainable development goals. From cleaning the air that people breathe and promoting biodiversity to preventing soil erosion, there are numerous reasons why trees are fundamental to the planet’s existence. Moreover, forests are one of the largest carbon sinks in the world, as trees capture CO2 from the air, which makes them crucial in combating the climate crisis. Over the next year, Rituals will support multiple reforestation initiatives to help prevent climate change and mitigate its effects.

USING BUSINESS AS A FORCE FOR GOOD
Supporting carbon capture via reforestation initiatives is part of the wider Clean, Conscious & Caring Strategy in which Rituals commits to reduce its environmental footprint. The wellbeing company has pledged to transition its personal care range to 90% natural origin ingredients by 2023, shift all of its packaging to 100% recyclable/refillable or made with recycled materials by 2025. To accelerate its impact, Rituals now commits to growing 5 million trees.

JOIN THE REFILL MOVEMENT
Rituals aims to balance pampering its customers and help them take care of their wellbeing, while acting responsibly at the same time. The brand’s Refill Collections operate on that exact intersection by allowing customers to keep using beautiful, luxury products at home while being mindful of the planet too.

GROWING MANGROVES IN INDIA AND IN KENYA
To realize its commitment to growing 5 million trees by the end of 2022, Rituals will partner up with EARTHDAY.ORG and ClimatePartner and focus on planting, protecting and restoring mangroves in India and Kenya. Not only are mangroves one of the most important natural carbon sinks on the planet, but they are also a haven for diverse flora and fauna and the first line of defence for coastal areas from both ocean tides and cyclones that often impact these regions. The collective projects are supporting local communities and their livelihoods by building back the loss of tree cover from deforestation and protecting nearby forest reserves and natural preserves. Throughout the year, Rituals will be partnering up with additional organizations to support its reforestation initiatives.

Dolce & Gabbana Furniture

Last fall, Dolce & Gabbana presented their first line for furniture and needless to say, it was an immediate success. The Italian fashion house that is well known for its vivid colors and vibrant prints, presented over 300 pieces, from tables to sofas, with colorful Sicilian cart motifs and animalier lovebeds.

You can now discover the exquisite Carretto, Blu Mediterraneo, Leo and Zebra collections at the new Dolce & Gabbana Casa boutique dedicated to furniture in via Durini 23, Milan.

I am totally in love with this new line. As I am dedicating every room in our new house to a fashion designer, I have just realized that I will also need a Dolce & Gabbana room.
