Being still every influencer’s favourites, Prada’s S/S 2023 raffia accessories are a must. There’s rarely a piece such as an It-bag that makes it past the three-year mark, but Prada just set an the exception. Since its launch back three years ago, as part of the brand’s S/S 2020 collection, the raffia tote has won every social media feed, and adorned many arms of different celebrities. The reason is clear. Lightweight and so easy to pack, they are the perfect companions for your beach holidays. I couldn’t resist the raffia small striped logo tote in tan and yellow and matching striped raffia bucket hat.

The verity is huge as the accessories come in all sorts of colors to choose from.

We all remember the hype about CULT GAIA‘s iconic Arc clutch back in 2017. Two years later, the brand launched also an amazing ready-to-wear collection.

Here they are the craziest shoes of the season. An art gallery’s worth of the weird, wacky and wonderful walked onto the runway for S/S 2023. Moschino’s pumps resembled miniature blow-up flamingo pool floats, one of Loewe’s sandals was entirely made of a huge 3-D petal and JW Anderson joined forces with Wellipets for some whimsical frog aesthetic. Heels, in particular, had a surreal feel, most notably seen in Alaïa‘s cabaret version and Sophia Webster‘s flamingo heels.

Fruits have been a source of inspiration for all sort of prints the past seasons. However, this summer, they take it up a notch and are worn in a 3D optic. AREA, the American luxury brand founded by Beckett Fogg and Piotrek Pansczczyk, dedicated their S/S 2023 runway collection to «tutti frutti» and presented sculptural and crystal-embellished pieces from a 3D banana bustier top to a watermelon strapless mini, to a full look that resembles a slice of fresh lemon. The crystal embellishments are arranged to resemble seeds and glisten in the light for a juicy, liquid-like shine.

Food for thought. You know that I have a thing for jovial accessories. Although I am not shopping in the men’s department in general, this one has definitely caught my eye. First seen on the Louis Vuitton S/S 2023 Paris Fashion Week runway, it is designed as a fun 2-in-1 accessory.

The collectible Fortune Cookie bag is made up of a cookie in calf leather, inside transparent packaging in PVC. Both pouches can be carried separately, the cookie with to its wristlet and the transparent pouch like a clutch. Inside each Fortune Cookie is a secret message, including one that reads, «Creativity listens to the heart,» as pictured in this post. Available in stores for $2310 / €1750.
