Michael Fux Rolls-Royce Bespoke Collection

With the presentation of his latest Rolls-Royce Cullinan today, Michael Fux has commissioned a series of 12 one-of-a-kind Rolls-Royce Bespoke creations.

Rolls-Royce Motor Cars has dozens of colors reserved for numerous clients around the globe. Among the Rolls-Royce Motor Cars he has commissioned, Mr. Fux ‘owns’ ten Bespoke colors, more than any other patron of the brand. These colors can only by used by, or with, the permission of the client.

• Fux Fuxia Pearl (Phantom)
• Fux Fuxia (Dawn)
• Fux Blue Candy (Dawn)
• Fux Intense Jade Pearl (Phantom)
• Fux Aequus Green Jade Pearl (Wraith)
• Fux Purple Candy (Phantom Drophead Coupé)
• Fux White (Ghost)
• Fux Red Candy (Phantom Drophead Coupé)
• Fux Yellow (Phantom Drophead Coupé)

2019: ‘Fux Orange’ (Cullinan)
Mr. Fux challenged the designers to match the color to a vibrant orange ladies wrap that caught his eye in South Florida.
Working together for nearly a year, the teams delivered the perfect surface application of more than seven layers of finish polished by hand for multiple hours in the Surface Finish Center. The exterior even features black Cullinan wheels with pinstripe wheel centers in the bright ‘Fux Orange.’

The interior is decked in hand-crafted Arctic White leather with offsetting Orange stitching and Orange Rolls-Royce ‘RRs’ on the headrests. Arctic White is carried over to the box grain leather fascia, steering wheel control stems and carpets. The designers brought color contrast with ‘Fux Orange’ finished fascia veneer and lambswool floor mats.

2018: ‘Fux Fuxia Pearl’ (Phantom)
The ‘Phantom in Fuxia’ is Mr. Fux’s tenth commission.
The exterior color features the pearlized feature from his 2015 Fux Intense Jade Pearl with the bright vibrant hue from his 2017 ‘Dawn in Fuxia’.

2017: ‘Fux Fuxia’ (Dawn)
The ‘Dawn in Fuxia’ is finished a vibrant color, matched to a flower that Mr. Fux found in Pebble Beach in 2016. Mr. Fux had just been presented with one of the first highly personalized Dawn’s in the world in his eponymous color ‘Fux Blue.’ He then presented fuchsia petals from the Pebble Beach lawns to the Rolls-Royce Bespoke Design Team with a challenge to them to create a second Bespoke Dawn.

2016: ‘Fux Blue Candy’ (Dawn)
‘Dawn in Fux Blue’ is a stunning duo-tone blue and white Dawn sporting an exterior hued in Mr. Fux’s latest Bespoke ‘Fux Blue’. The magnificent finish including the Fux Blue Bespoke colored hood. The bright Arctic White interior offsets the luscious Fux Blue exterior and includes the sleek Piano White fascia and Bespoke Arctic White hand-wrapped steering wheel. The Arctic White leather surrounds the compartment and adorns Dawn’s rear deck. The white interior is highlighted by the vibrant Fux Blue Bespoke lambswool carpet creating a visually striking image.

2015: ‘Fux Intense Jade Pearl’ (Phantom)
This Phantom with ‘Fux Intense Jade Pearl’ exterior finish and a Fux Aequus Green interior matches the Wraith he commissioned in 2014. The interior is appointed in the highest quality leather in a vibrant color theme matching green throughout the front and rear compartments. More than a year of Bespoke color design went into this ‘One-of-One’ work of art that complements Mr. Fux’s Bespoke Wraith commissioned in 2014, and his collection of stunning, colorful Rolls-Royce motor cars.

2014: ‘Fux Aequus Green Jade Pearl’ (Wraith)
The two-tone car is presented in two specially developed colors; ‘Fux Aequus Green’ and Cornish White with Jade Pearl accents. Inside, the vibrant coluor theme continues with matching green across the interior, including leather seats, floor mats and carpets, leather covered stalks and steering wheel, with veneer parts. In true Michael Fux style, attention has been paid to even the smallest details with the speakers, front and rear vents and rear view mirror casing finished in the car’s unique green hue.

2011: ‘Fux Purple Candy’ (Phantom Drophead Coupé)
This Bespoke-named exterior color is a deep luscious ‘Fux Purple Candy’ finish with exterior and Arctic White exterior with contrast purple stitching. This is including the leather floor mats and boot finishing. Arctic White Veneer is used from fascia to the deck. The bespoke steering wheel comes with Arctic White veneer spokes and hand-crafted Arctic White leather.

2010: ‘Fux Arctic White’ (Ghost)
The exterior paint and trim are covered in a hand-polished Fux Arctic White paint, while the interior is upholstered in matching Arctic White leather. The white leather covers all interior surfaces including the steering wheel. Complementing the paint scheme is a matching presentation key box. In a bold break from stylistic tradition, Mr. Fux has had the traditionally veneered dashboard painted with a matching lacquer instead. All the interior leather is stitched with a contrasting Consort Red thread. Arctic white lamb’s wool floor mats overlay Consort Red carpets in the interior.

2010: ‘Fux Red Candy’ (Phantom Drophead Coupé)
The exterior is finished in ‘Fux Red Candy’ hand-polished to a high-luster.
The interior is upholstered in matching Arctic White leather. The white leather covers all interior surfaces including the steering wheel. All the interior leather is stitched with a contrasting Consort Red thread. Arctic white lamb’s wool floor mats overlay Consort Red carpets in the interior for a colorful finish.

2008: ‘Fux Yellow’ (Phantom Drophead Coupé)
This Phantom Drophead Coupé features an exterior Bespoke in ‘Fux Yellow’. The entire interior is in matching yellow leather, including the seats, headrests, steering wheel, door panels and, even the interior of the boot.
The trademark lambswool carpets are dyed in a perfect match. High-gloss carbon fiber is used in place of the traditional of wood veneer Rolls-Royce have been replaced by cutting-edge carbon fiber. The entire dashboard is black with yellow leather controls with the yellow hue extending throughout the cabin from the console, and the rear deck.

You might be wondering why I am showing this car collection. There are two reasons for it. First, I LOVE cars and second, how cool would it be to have this collection to match your daily outfits…

Swarovski & Prison Art

PRISON ART is the result of the entrepreneurial vision of Jorge Cueto, a former inmate of the Puente Grande federal penitentiary in Jalisco, Mexico. Unjustly arrested for fraud in 2012, Cueto spent 11 months behind bars before a judge determined there was no crime to prosecute and that he was innocent. Today, this organization helps former prisoners reintegrate into a normal life through creative artwork in Mexico.

Jorge Cueto launched Prison Art in late 2013 after being unjustly arrested.

This craftsmanship and know-how of PRISON ART is part of a project by premium tequila brand PADRE AZUL and tequila aficionado, PADRE AZUL co-owner and Swarovski partner Georg Weis. The new «Padre Azul Cristalino Añejo Tequila», limited to 1,000 bottles, is also a co-production with Swarovski, who have created the unique skull with an engraved number for each bottle. The bottle itself was designed for the special edition by PRISON ART and part of the proceeds will be donated to the charitable organization.

Cristalino Tequila, which uses a special process to remove the natural color, currently happens to be the new trend in Mexico. Crystal clear in the glass, «Padre Azul Cristalino Añejo Tequila» convinces on the palate with maturity and a finely honed composition of aromas.

The limited edition is an ideal gift for tequila aficionados, and once the bottle is empty, it remains a precious designer item. But that means acting fast, because only 1000 bottles are available worldwide for €1000 each. You can order your bottle here.

Stella McCartney x The Beatles

Peace, love and togetherness for a new generation!
The ‘All Together Now’ collection is finally here, inspired by the iconic Beatles filmYellow Submarine’.

Stella McCartney with her Beatles-Dad Paul McCartney

It affected me in a way I just wasn’t expecting. Especially this idea of connecting people and bringing people together—politically this message has never been more relevant. So, I came out and I was like ‘I have to do something.’” – Stella

My favorite piece of the collection: the fur free coat.

The hand-illustrated musical film is a psychedelic adventure through a colourful world, and Stella McCartney‘s bold new collection brings its spirit back to life, with a modern twist.

Take a ride with the brand’s new campaign, starring musical artists Oscar Jerome, Keyah Blu, Joy Crookes and Femi Koleoso, on Stella’s World now!

Montblanc x Pirelli

Last week, on the eve of the Chinese Grand Prix in Shanghai, MONTBLANC introduced its brand new Montblanc x Pirelli collection of new lightweight trolleys created in partnership with the Italian motorsport pioneer.

My Look: Formula V

«We want to make simulation racing accessible to everyone, everywhere
Francisco Fernandez

Friday night, I was invited to the Formula V launch event at the Dolder Grand in Zurich. My avid readers know that besides fashion, I really love cars and driving fast (must be my German side). Therefore I was curious about this new project where you can live the same sporting experience of top race drivers with their original training simulator. You can choose a track as well as a car and race straight away without the risk of injuring yourself. While exercising a fantastic driving experience, you will definitely be challenged mentally and physically.

With Francisco Fernandez, founder and chairman Formula V, and his wife Natalie Gromova Fernandez.

Furthermore, Formula V wants to focus on finding new talents and giving them the opportunity to train. Regular race car driving is very expensive and it is hard to find sponsors when you get started. The gaming factor also plays and important role. Via the Formula V app, spectators can bet on their favorite driver or even interact with the race themselves by adding rain or letting a cat cross the virtual track. The first competition, a historical date for Swiss e-sport, will be held on May 25, 2019, for more information click here.

Matching the motto of the night, I went for this Moschino race dress from the S/S 2016 collection. Finally, I had a great opportunity to literally sport it.

My look: Sleeveless leather biker jacket iconby Saint Laurentracing-style dress by Moschino, cadillac clutch and red leather boots, both by Prada. Diamond ring and bracelet, both by Vainard Fine Jewellery, rose diamond necklace by Piaget.

German actress and model Sophia Thomalla is Formula V’s celebrity ambassador.

If I vetted your appetite for virtual car racing, I invite you to experience the Formula V world class racing simulation in the comfort of the first lounge that opened last weekend in Cham. The Formula V instructors will prepare everything for your perfect race. Alone, with friends, for entertainment or to compete and train, just use the Formula V app to book a time, duration, car and racetrack and you will be welcomed with everything ready to go!

Zurich, Madrid and many more locations will open soon. Stay tuned!

Sioux x Til Schweiger Launch Event

Sometimes, the world is small, extremely small. At the risk of straying too far afield, let me provide some background on the story behind this fabulous launch event in Hamburg last week.

Best friends since over 30 years: Dr. Annette Christoph with me.

I went to a girls’ school. My school years were fantastic. We were five girls who have all stayed close friends since then. One became my maid of honor, the other one the godmother of my daughter and so on. We all work in different fields, I am the only one in fashion. Therefore I was amazed when my friend Dr. Annette Christoph invited me to Hamburg for the launch event of Sioux x Til Schweiger. Her partner in life, Lewin Berner, bought Sioux in 2010 with other private investors after it had gone through interim difficulties. If you are born in Germany, you will be familiar with this Swabian company with a long-standing tradition that is specialized in footwear. Now, for the first time, the brand is taking with German actor Til Schweiger a celebrity ambassador on board.

With Lewin Berner at the event.

Besides acting, Til is also a filmmaker. In the end of 2018, he celebrated the premiere of the 13th film directed by himself and the first with an American actor as a lead. In the remake of the German movie «Honig im Kopf» (2014) «Head full of Honey» Nick Nolte starrs alongside Matt Dillon and Emily Mortimer. It is a moving story about a man suffering from Alzheimer’s who embarks on a final road trip with his granddaughter. Unfortunately, the US version was not as successful as the German one.

Til Schweiger is a funny guy!

This year, Til has discovered another talent of him that lies in his DNA. His great-grandfather was a shoemaker all his life and now Til himself enters a long-term partnership with the cult shoe label and will design in close cooperation with the creative team of Sioux his own shoe collections.

In September 2014, Til had already founded Barefoot Living. The idea arose when friends and fans asked him where the interior design of the film sets in his iconic German movies, such as «Keinohrhasen» or «Zweiohrküken» (if you haven’t seen them, please do… so funny), was from. The answer was easy as Til Schweiger also lives privately in these designs. Today, Barefoot Living offers furniture and home accessories as well as cashmere sweaters, and some cosmetics.

Hamptons feeling at Barefood Deli

Later, Til expanded this lifestyle concept by opening Barefood Deli in Hamburg, the restaurant where the launch event with Sioux took place and even an hotel, the Barefoot Hotel Timmendorfer Strand.

Sioux x Til Schweiger launch event last week.

Til Schweiger: «By partnering with Sioux, I’m expanding my Barefoot Living concept, which closes a gap for me, because shoes have been missing so far. I have always wished for footwear that is casual, stylish and comfortable in one. I had already been familiar with Sioux’s iconic model, the so-called «Grashopper» from my childhood days, but recently I have rediscovered the company for me. It was crucial for me to have a partner with a lot of know-how by my side, who perfectly implements my feel-good concept and shares my own values.»

The result of this cooperation are three relaxed styles. Including a newly interpreted «Grasshopper» in Til’s carefully selected leathers with natural crepe sole, a casual leather sneaker in a slightly destroyed look and a really comfortable biker boot. The latter also comes with a natural crepe sole, an unusual combination, that plays a central role in this capsule collection and is one of Til’s favorites.

Gladiator to Governator: Ralf Moeller told Til that he sent Arnold Schwarzenegger a photo of the biker boots and that he would love to have a pair as well.

To celebrate this fantastic collaboration, Til had invited some of his celebrity friends who all came to his restaurant to toast on their talented buddy. Please enjoy some of the best impressions of the evening below. It was a fun night and I ran into lots of familiar faces.

Ralf got already his hands on the biker boot, which seems to become a celebrity’s must-have.

During his welcome speech, Til mentioned what he truly liked about Sioux was the work environment, as you cannot feel any hierarchy, only passion for the craftsmanship.

Lewin Berner, managing partner of Sioux and a true passionate Swabian entrepreneur who is literally on fire for his company, had every reason to be happy that night. His goal of bringing Sioux back to its old strength just got a huge step closer. The collection will be available as a limited edition online and at the selected stores from now. Only 333 pairs of each model will be produced.

And the next step? Starting this month, the dream team is working with Til’s daughter Luna Schweiger on a women’s collection… She will also become the face of the campaign. Stay tuned!

Louis Vuitton LV Epi Collection for Men

Louis Vuitton is breathing a new graphic rhythm into its men’s leather goods lines, LV Epi Initials and LV Epi Patchwork Graphite. Damier Graphite canvas and Epi leather are brought to life with touches of pop colour, combining the iconic House’s signatures with the LV Circle from F/W 2017.

Both collections place Epi leather in the spotlight. Launched in 1985, it features a distinctive grain and textured effect. Over the years, the first coloured leather to be introduced at Louis Vuitton has been dressed in a selection of strong, tangy, cool or deep colours. Here it is available in navy blue and black, punctuated with flashes of pop blue, acid green, and burgundy with a touch of Damier for the LV Epi Patchwork Graphite, or accompanied by the LV Circle signature for the LV Epi Initials line.

Available in four iconic Louis Vuitton shapes, the Danube, the Christopher backpack, the Bumbag and the Keepall, the shapes complement one another in a combination of highly generational styles and colours. The small leather goods reveal coloured linings, as does the trio of Damier Graphite canvas pouches that nest together like Russian dolls.

A perfect compromise between suppleness and structure, LV Epi Initials & Patchwork Graphite meet the needs of today’s city dwellers. These striking, casual collections will appeal to leather enthusiasts as well as cool, free-spirited personalities.

Available from May 31st 2019 in Louis Vuitton stores and on louisvuitton.com.
And needless to say, those pieces would also look good on us women!

Hermès Arceau Awooooo Watch

When you cry ‘wolf ’, it appears on the dial of the new Arceau Awooooo ! watch. Crafted in enamel, the silver-furred animal stands out against a starstudded backdrop featuring a slim moon crescent. This miniature scene is beautifully framed by a white gold case and a matte graphite alligator strap.

A new character in the bestiary designed by Alice Shirley, the Arceau watch now calls “Awooooo!” with its motif initially created for a line of men’s scarves. The fascinating yet feared white wolf of myths and fairy stories emerges from the woods, gloriously wild and depicted in miniature on an enamel-painted dial.

In reproducing the refined original design, the wolf and its star-studded background spring to life by dint of meticulous workmanship. The artisan crafts both sides of the transparent white enamel dial, then carefully polishes it to achieve a perfectly smooth surface. The outlines of the motif are then traced and, using an extremely fine brush, various enamel powders are applied mixed with natural oils. Then come several successive stages of coatings, interspersed with drying and firing in the oven, before the painting takes shape in all its magnificent realism.

Using a graphic style and subtle shades of grey, the animal is shown in its natural, essentially nocturnal way of life. A starry night and a slim moon crescent also evoke the cycle of nature, within which the predator plays an essential role. The overall tone matches the white gold case, whose round shape topped by stirrup-shaped lugs houses a Manufacture Hermès movement.

Fitted with a matte graphite alligator strap, its classic design imagined 40 years ago by Henri d’Origny accentuates the elegance of this eight-piece limited edition.
