This is one of my favourite colour schemes this summer: Flesh tones like nude, peach, and abricot combined with light bleached denim. The very up-to-date match looks so fresh and still not too sweet like pastels often do.
One of my favourite accessories is the Monogram Denim Shawl by Louis Vuitton in azur (see photo) or blue. It adds a lovely touch to almost every outfit.

Graphic patterns are a big trend for next summer, but the real news is digital manipulated prints.
A genius in creating those swirling effects is the Glaswegian designer Jonathan Saunders who since his graduation in 2002 from London`s Central Saint Martin`s college has been climbing up the ladder of success. Especially his resort 2010 collection (see above) that is available right now has a lot of those notice-me silk screening prints.
There is a new generation of designers that are using computer-generated patterns to achieve a new kind of futuristic look. Peter Pilotto and Mary Katrantzou are among those rising stars.
My favourite is Greek-born designer Mary Katrantzou. Her surrealistic prints of perfume bottles on dresses (see below) were divine last winter. You should get one on sale at Browns. And like Coco Chanel said: „A woman who doesn`t wear perfume has no future“. I am sure this is nothing Mary has to worry about.

As you already know, the nautical trend is revived again this upcoming summer. If you don`t want to go overboard with the sailor look, these amazing accessories from the Chanel Cruise 2010 collection could be the perfect solution. They will freshen up your wardrobe and will give you the right nautical vibe for many more seasons to come. Put on a pair of jeans plus a white tee and accent your outfit with a striped scarf and canvas tote for example. Or team up your favourite summer dress and gorgeous strappy sandals with a regatta bracelet. The possibilities are versatile.
Ultra-wearable and still very fashion-forward, you can turn yourself into a style icon in an instant! But hurry, those pieces are a great investment and will be gone in seconds.

The hype has started already last summer when stars like Sienna Miller and Claudia Schiffer were spotted on the streets wearing this ultra-cool Chanel nautical top. It seems like Coco Chanel sparks another trend from her grave as she has transformed the navy and white striped, authentic French sailor`s working garment into a style essential. (It was said that this stripe might help locating a man fallen into the sea).
And the nautical trend hasn`t come to an end yet.
In the movie „Coco before Chanel“ that hit the cinemas early fall, the look was refreshed again by Audrey Tautou when she appeared in a striped boatneck breton shirt playing the famous French couturier.
For the recent resort collections designers are still loving the nautical theme. Maritime colours, stripes and rope belts were seen a lot. Therefore the Lido in Venice was the perfect location for Karl Lagerfeld to show his Chanel Cruise 2010 collection (see the pictures above) that is an hommage to the fabulous Coco and the 1920`s.
My recommendation is not to go head-to-toe nautical. Snap up a great striped piece for youself like the ones above and team it with skinny jeans and high heels. I am totally in love with the flower embellished one by Marc Jacobs
. It is a great addition to your summer wardrobe and will accompany you for many years.

I love Boots therefore I wanted to show you all these stunning pieces for summer. For the hot season there is no need to be practical so it is all about design and probably providing a little air (who likes sweaty feet?!). Cutout details, open toe booties (keep your winter ones), strapped sandal ones- there are so many beautiful details to talk about. It is the shock of contrast that gives it that little special twist I so adore.
I am crazy for the stretch boots with knee pads by Pierre Hardy that I would combine with a beautiful white one-shouldered dress like the one by Tibi. Put some bangles on, a little Grecian style hairpiece and you will truly look like a goddess!

There is no doubt about the power of High Heels. You are taller and your legs appear longer. Once you put them on, you move differently with a certain attitude and feel very feminine. There is no way men can resist that. This spring you have a versatile choice in great heights. One of my favourites are the stunning Alexander McQueen peep toes. The heart-shaped opening is so sexy. You can already buy all these models here.
You will have to wait a little longer for these amazing High Heels from the runway collections. But it is worth it. I am completely obsessed with the playful and romantic versions by Victor and Rolf and by Miu Miu. These chunky Chanel platform pumps are a wonderful choice, too as they will make your legs look super-slim.

Somehow Wedges are always in style. They provide a little more stability than a regular heel and you don`t get stuck in a grating or cobblestone pavement. These resort models above are all already available.
If you are interested in those stunning wedges from the runway above, you should better pre-reserve them now as they might fly out of the stores. I am totally in love with the red and white ones by Ralph Lauren Collection. The cowboy style intarsias give them the perfect twist. Also amazing are the Proenza Schouler wedges. They remind me of a surfboard and are a piece of art to me.

The hype started already in 2008 but this spring the Gladiator Sandals are still very up-to-date. It might be the combination of looking totally stylish and being very comfy during the day that makes them so loved. As the name already implies, these shoes were favoured by Ancient Greeks and Romans. Roll up your jeans and show your beautiful sandals or pair them with hot pants (wow effect!). Cruise starts hitting the stores. I love that Stella McCartney striped flower sweater dress. You can already wear it now with leggings and boots and it gives you that little summery feeling during cold winter days.
