My Look: I Love Maldives

I absolutely love the Maldives. Being a dreamy couple’s escape, I enjoy this precious time with my better half. From candlelit dinners under starry skies, to movie nights on the beach and boat trips to spot dolphins at sunset. Every day offers something different. In between I have a lot of fun shooting some outfit posts by myself at our private beach. The weather constantly changes from sunshine to rain as you can perfectly see in those pictures and my layers.

My Look: Welcome to Maldives

Welcome to Maldives! Since almost one week already I am embracing island life at the Ritz-Carlton Fari Islands resort which is an absolute a dream. I am relaxed, nourished and just happy. Nature is so powerful here and the energy is very special. I feel inspired and refreshed. The first days I did absolutely nothing besides, swimming, exercising and reading books. Then, I was in the mood to take some photos. Before coming here, I bought myself a compact travel tripod which was a super investment as I took all of these shots by myself and it was a lot of fun!

My look: Dragon-print swimsuit with gold buttonsicon, and matching dragon-print pareoicon, both by Balmain, gold wedge sandalsicon by Aquazzura, BV1070 cat-eye sunglasses by Bottega Veneta, «Dubai» limited edition white and gold book tote with Rêve d’Infini motif imagined by Pietro Ruffo and matching «Dubai» J’adior limited edition bracelet set in black and white Dior Oblique cotton by Dior, gold metal necklace with coins and matching earrings, both by CHANEL.

My Look: Kispi

Finally after three years, the Kispiball (Kispi is an abbreviation for Kinderspital which means children’s hospital in German) took place again at the wonderful Baur au Lac hotel in Zurich. It is one of my favorite charity events of the Swiss social calendar that raises money for the city’s children’s hospital. I danced all night long in my Dolce & Gabbana gown and enjoyed being among my dear friends.

My look: Strapless polka-dot silk-organza gown, and «’L’Amore È Bellezza» ribbon belt, both by Dolce & Gabbana, pink double bow satin pumpsicon by Mach & Mach, Tro crystal-embellished leather shoulder bag by Oscar de la Renta, and crystal-embellished snake necklace by Alessandra Rich.

My Look: Versace

This was the outfit I wore to the Versace F/W 2022 show in Milan. The Italian Maison has such a huge momentum again, its skyrocketing platform heels are all over along with the iconic codes we all adore so much. The surge in archival interest, and Donatella’s enduring icon status have made the brand a star once more.

My look: Envers satin jacket dress, Medusa chain embellished waist belt, Medusa Aevitas embellished satin platform pumpsicon, and small Medusa top handle bag, all by Versace, black panties by CHANEL, and gold mesh necklace by Prada.

My Look: Valentino Pink PP

Here it is … my favorite look of the F/W 2022 season! I am completely obsessed with the Valentino Pink PP collection. When I spotted this dress and the accessories on the runway, I knew they need a place in Sandra’s Closet.

The photos were taken in front of the store at 27 Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré in Paris, that was wrapped all in pink during Paris Fashion Week., before I went to the party with Kilian.

My look: Cutout bow-embellished wool and silk-bend mini dressicon, stretch-knit tightsicon, One Stud mini leather shoulder bagicon, Tan-Go patent leather platform pump 165mm, all by Valentinofeather, crystal and bead earrings by Oscar de la Renta, and pink marabou jacket by Emilio Pucci.

Sandra’s Closet Halloween Costumes

I am not a fan of those typical costumes for Halloween, poorly produced, made out of horrible materials, they create waste and are bad for the environment. Luckily, many Halloween costumes can be easily created just from the clothes in your closet and common household items.

Think of one of your favorite iconic movie characters and dress like them. If you have a lot of pink in your closet, then you can probably pull off an Elle Woods or become a Barbie girl (think of the latest Valentino Pink PP collection). Or be a «Queen of Hearts». Put on a long preferably red dress and find your household deck of cards for this easy DIY costume. Just attach some cards with safety pins and off you go. The easiest way is to play with make-up and accessories such as a pair of funky boots and stockings, top it off with a little flour in your hair to make it wiry and wild, and carry around your kitchen broom or your Dyson.

Personally speaking, I always put together costumes with pieces from my own closet. However, I know that my wardrobe is huge and I have many items that scream «dress up» already. Here some of my designer outfits that would be perfect for Halloween! Moschino, Dolce & Gabbana along with Prada are the brands that offer the easiest take on fashion with humor. My Look: Feathers in Paris

Feathers in Paris – nothing more chic than that. Personally speaking, I associate them with Old Hollywood glamour. Feathers in fashion are nothing new. However, this year they have been popping up everywhere. These days, the latest plumed styles feel so much more casual and sophisticated. You can just wear them to lunch as I did with KILIAN …

My look: Feather-trimmed stretch-knit playsuiticon, St. Sulpice black pumps, Lou mini quilted textured-leather shoulder bagicon, gold-tone, enamel and faux pearl clip earrings, feather choker necklace, and black monogram croc-embossed leather belt, all by Saint Laurent, and logo embellished stockings by CHANEL.

Here is the outfit that I wore for the first night to celebrate Kilian‘s 15th anniversary in Paris. The dress code for the three-day extravaganza? Don’t be shy! You don’t need to tell me twice.

My Look: Fall Is Coming

Fall is coming and you can feel it everywhere. The colors change and the layers multiply. I love to mix and match old and new pieces. Going through my closet and browsing through my pieces, is something I absolutely enjoy. After the warm season, your personal winter wardrobe always feels kind of new again.

My look: Sequined crepe trench coaticon by Balmain, Alex metallic leather knee-high boots by Alexandre Vauthier, vintage metallic rose pink lambskin leather motorcycle city bag by Balenciaga, black and white tweed jumpsuit (S/S 2020 Look 8), tweed cap, and pearl earrings (Métiers d’Art 2015 Paris – Salzburg), all by CHANEL.

My Look: Missing Summer

I am already missing summer so much that I want to show you one of my favorite looks shot at the beach of the Blue Palace Elounda hotel in Crete. In the background you can see the small island Spinalonga. It is actually a pretty creepy place, also known as the Leper Island, as that is where Greek lepers were quarantined until 1957.

My look is very colorful. The sunglasses are from the recent Loewe F/W 2022 collection. I adore the inflated style, it feels new. The Maison’s broken egg sandals are definitely a piece for the museum – I am completely obsessed. My bucket bag is from The Collector, a Geneva based brand, that is specialized in high end bags, preferably in exotic leathers.

My look: Lola cropped tie-front paneled linen topicon, matching Lola belted paneled linen midi skirt, and fringed faux raffia sunhat, all by Zimmermann, Broken egg sandals, and inflated oversized square-frame acetate sunglassesicon, both by Loewe, coral earrings by Oscar de la Renta, and bucket bag by The Collector.
