My Look: Fashion Kills

Inspired by «The True Cost» documentary that shows the disgusting business practices of multi-billion dollar fast fashion brands that pinch factory’s so tight that they can keep up with the pressure to make money, I wore this tongue-in-cheek look to the Moschino show this spring. The pieces are from previous collections by Jeremy Scott, who is a genius when it comes to fashion with humor. The dollar signs on my dress and jacket, the fake fur stole and the cigarette box bag with the slogan «Fashion kills» are in my opinion a great match together.

I have always promoted to invest in pieces of good quality and to keep them for many years to come instead of buying fast fashion for one season.

My look: Double-breasted embellished crepe blazericon, embellished crepe mini dressicon, fake fur stole, black head piece with oversized bow, and cigarette-inspired leather bag, all by Moschino, pearl necklace by CHANEL, and Medusa Aevitas embellished satin platform pumps by Versace.

My Look: Dries Van Noten

After the Belgian fashion designer Dries Van Noten has decided to step down as creative director of the brand that bears his name at the end of June, leaving behind an admired and successful business, a body of work that remains inspiring and distinct, his designs have been on even higher demand.  I love this stylish, yet comfortable look from the S/S 2024 collection that I am wearing in this post on the Commonwealth Avenue in Boston.

Tomorrow, I will be on my way to the US again… any idea where I will be heading to?

My look: Checked crepe T-shirticon, and jacquard-knit straight-leg pantsicon, both by Dries Van Noten, Petite Malle H27 bag, all by Louis Vuitton, Kurillos chain-embellished leather pumpsicon by Manolo Blahnik, and oval-frame gold-tone and acetate sunglassesicon by Celine.

My Look: Jean Paul Gaultier x KNWLS

But(t) there is always another side to the story … :-).
I love the collaboration between Jean Paul Gaultier and KNWLS, the south London based brand designed by Charlotte Knowles and Alexandre Arsenault. The epic pieces fuse the disruptive femininity and fierceness of the UK-based label with the punk rebellion, grit and glamour of the famous French couture fashion house.

My look: Shearling-trimmed leather vesticon, printed mesh turtleneck topicon, and printed mesh flared pantsicon, all by Jean Paul Gaultier x KNWLS, Aevitas leather platform ankle bootsicon by Versaceelephant mini crystal-embellished suede shoulder bagicon by Loewegold aviator sunglassesicon by ChloéJUSTE UN CLOU bracelet in rose gold with diamonds, LOVE bracelet SM in white gold, LOVE bracelet SM in yellow gold with 10 diamondsLOVE bracelet in rose gold with 4 diamonds, and CLASH DE CARTIER bracelet SM in rose gold, all by Cartier, and Coco Crush bracelet in yellow gold by CHANEL Fine Jewelry.

My Look: Jolie

Boston weather can be quite challenging. On Sunday, it was chilly and rainy on my daughter’s graduation. The next day, I woke up to the most beautiful sunny weather and decided to wear my new silk dress made from sustainable organic silk from the Chloé x Atelier Jolie collection for a walk around the Public Garden.

My look: Organic silk crepe de chine maxi dressicon by Chloé x Atelier Jolie, Jodie knotted leather toteicon by Bottega Veneta, dark brown suede sandals by Aquazzura, choker and medallion necklace, both by CHANEL (S/S 2023 Pre-collection).

My Look: Sky Blue

Since its inception in 1978, Versace stands for female sensuality for the modern woman. With a palette of fresh pastels and callbacks to previous collections, this season expands on the house’s iconic signatures, that I have always been a fan of like this beautiful ensemble in sky blue.

My look: 1978 Re-Edition logo-embroidered jumper, check-effect wool-blend tweed mini, La Medusa crystal-embellished mini bag, Medusa Aevitas embellished satin platform sandals, and Medusa-plaque satin headband, all by VersaceHorsebit blue topaz diamond white gold ringicon by Gucci Fine Jewellery, fishnet tights with Swarovski crystals by Calzedonia, and Oyster Perpetual 36 with turquoise dial by Rolex.

My Look: London Home

I am happy as a bug back in my London home. The city has grown so much on me with its diverse and vibrant flair and I have made amazing friends here. Good vibes, good life!

My look: Braided metallic checked wool-blend bouclé jacketicon, silk-satin jacquard shirticon, and matching cropped silk-satin jacquard wide-leg pantsicon, all by Gucci, crystal drop choker necklaceicon by Alessandra Rich, wallet on chain, and loafers with logo buckle, both by CHANEL.

My Look: Let’s Eat Cake

All good things come in threes. I love birthdays, I love cake and I love pink. For my last birthday luncheon, I wore this fun «Barbiecore» style inspired by pink fashion and a birthday cake. Layers resembling ruffles, adorned with pearls and bows to show elegant couture.

My look: Belted floral-print faux fur coat in pinkicon by Balenciaga, coat dress with icing print, cake clutch bag, and bow-embellished long pearl necklace, all by Moschino, jewel and bow embellished pumps by Miu Miu, and bi-color heart-shaped earrings by Alessandra Rich.

Next time, I might get inspired by the limited edition Barbiecue sauce :-). By the way staying slim can be so easy, just wear your cake instead of eating it!

My Look: Coffee

Here is my outfit that I wore for my shoot with Nespresso at Watches & Wonders. It was the perfect day, as I absolutely adore coffee, fashion and watches. In terms of my outfit choice, I went for something stylish yet super comfortable. Can you imagine that I walked 10 kilometers at the fair?!

I hate being in line so instead of leaving my jacket at the cloakroom, I comfortably hang it over my shoulder as it comes with a strap and is super light. Being also fully waterproof, I can only recommend getting this piece for many occasions and years to come!

My look: Off-the-shoulder padded shell jacketicon by Alaïa, ruffled Lurex and velvet mini dressicon by Balmain, medium 16 bag in satiny calfskin leathericon by Celine, suede boots with sleeve, and earrings, both by CHANEL.

My Look: Courrèges

Weekends in Paris are always well spent. The House of Courrèges is known for its chic retro vibe, so you’ll be in for a stylish time. From exploring the iconic landmarks to enjoying leisure strolls along the Seine river, everything is fashionable in the French capital.

If you would like to know more abut the French Maison, that was founded in the ’60s by André Courrèges, click here for a previous post.

My look: Belted short heritage crepe coatcut-out sleeveless minidress, heritage leather knee boots, and re-edition leather shoulder bag, all by Courrèges, oval-frame acetate sunglassesicon, and grooved cabochon clip earringsicon, all by Saint Laurent.

My Interview for Globus Magazine

My interview for Globus Magazine is out featuring my must-have skincare tips to spring prep your skin.

Spring is a time for rejuvenation, especially for your skin. Over the winter you focus on protecting your skin from cold, dry weather but when the sun is back, your skincare routine should have a different goal. As spring turns to summer, you want to develop a skincare routine that focuses on hydration and defense against sun damage, pollution, and other environmental stressors.

Here are 5 simple ways to get your skin ready for spring:

EXFOLIATE
One of the best ways to prep your skin for the new season is to exfoliate regularly. Exfoliating helps remove dead skin cells and gives your complexion a brighter, more radiant appearance. It also helps to unclog pores and improve circulation. As a result, your skin will be better able to absorb moisture and nutrients.

One of the best exfoliators I know: The Renewal Oil Exfoliator by LA MER.

Powerful duo: Hydro-Softening Lotion, The Serum by Clé de Peau Beauté (for more information, click here please for the detailed post).
One of my favorite masks as it is so easy to use: The Intensive Vitalizing Mask by LA MER.

HYDRATE
Apply a hydrating serum or essence to replenish moisture levels in your skin. Hydration is key to help prevent excessive dryness or irritation. At least once a week, use a mask to intensify the effect.

Follow your routine with your favorite moisturizer. In my case I am a huge fan of the The Moisturizing Cream by LA MER.

UV Protective Cream by Clé de Peau Beauté

PROTECT
Apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher to protect your skin from harmful UV rays. This step is essential, especially if you’ll be exposing your skin to the sun after a peeling.

PERSONAL TIP
Add a long-lasting and moisturizing primer that blends makeup and skincare so the your foundation will stay in place the whole day.

By following these steps, you can ensure that your skin is properly prepped and cared for, leading to a smoother, brighter complexion in spring.
