Somehow I always find the time before the holiday season extremely stressful, getting everything ready for the family, the gifts, the food, the decoration, preparing the travels and getting all the business work done. Running around the city in those freezing temperatures doesn’t make it any better. Then, it is always time to put on some superwoman powers…
My look: Black double-breasted wool coat with gold bars by Givenchy, Superman jumper by Valentino, Skin 5 mid-rise skinny jeans by Acne Studios, Joyce embellished leather shoulder bag by Loewe, wool scarf by Bottega Veneta, Horsebit blue topaz diamond white gold ring by Gucci Fine Jewellery and red leather boots by Prada.

Last May, I attended the amazing CHANEL Cuba Cruise 2017 show in Havana, and the one piece I predicted to be the absolute bestseller was the colourful printed T-shirt «Viva Coco Cuba Libre». Of course, I wanted to get my hands on it as well as I knew this one will fly off the shelves. Well, dreams do come true, and sometimes even double!
When I unwrapped my Christmas present from CHANEL wearing the tee, I couldn’t believe my eyes, I got another one in a more pastel color combination. Thank you, CHANEL, this was the perfect gift for me! Merry Christmas to all of you… enjoy your holiday season!

It is Christmas Eve, and no matter what you celebrate, I’d like to wish everyone around the world a safe and happy holiday season, may it be all you dream them to be. Thank you for visiting Sandra’s Closet and your support throughout this year!
For the festive night, I like to wear something comfortable but still stylish to fit the occasion and of course to leave space for the yummy food.
My look: Rys multi-texture jacket by Hervé Léger, jacquard-knit mini dress by Alexander McQueen (on sale), flower pin in silk and cotton by Gucci, suede over-the-knee boots by Saint Laurent, Falabella embroidered faux brushed-leather shoulder bag by Stella McCartney, Horsebit blue topaz diamond white gold ring by Gucci Fine Jewellery and «Tribale» earrings by Dior.

For the Russian night «La Nuit des Tsars» during the ASW Winter Weekend in Gstaad, I went for white fur and burgundy velvet, taking cues from the 19th century and old-world Russian luxury.
My look: Mink shrug and fur hat, both by Prada, ruffle-trimmed embroidered silk-blend tulle mini dress by Alexander McQueen, Lily velvet knee boots and velvet waist belt, both by Saint Laurent, vintage eagle earrings and matching clutch bag, both by Chanel, Tank Américaine in yellow gold with diamonds by Cartier and «Mitza» ring by Dior Haute Joaillerie.

Today’s outfit post comes with hugs and kisses from Gstaad. I wore this gown to the ASW Foundation Gala Dinner last weekend at the Gstaad Palace. It is such a great piece, comfortable and great for dancing, something that can be difficult with a long dress in general.
My look: Ruffled lace-paneled metallic silk-blend gown and Sarabande embellished satin-trimmed lace bra top, both by Alexander McQueen, cutout leather platform pumps by Saint Laurent, vintage baguette bag by Christian Dior and earrings by Prada.

This post is actually a little teaser. The photos were taken recently at the Grand Resort Bad Ragaz where I was with Sisley to prepare a very special surprise for you. Stay tuned next week as an amazing contest will be coming up.
This outfit has become one of my favourites for fall. I have been in love with Mary Katrantzou‘s designs from her first season and have been collecting her must-have pieces since then.
My look: Oliver jacquard and plissé-tulle coat and Charm butterfly embroidered tulle dress, both by Mary Katrantzou, bow-embellished patent-leather pumps by Saint Laurent and cable shopper small patent-leather bag by Balenciaga.

Last Thursday, I flew to Munich for a very interesting press conference with Neutrogena. After I landed back in Zurich at 10pm, I went straight to a friend’s cocktail party. I knew I wouldn’t have time to change, therefore I planned my outfit precisely. Metallics are always a great way to work day and night, adding the right shimmer especially in artificial light.
My look: Black long shearling coat by Prada, metallic lace-trimmed cotton-blend cardigan and ruffled crinkled silk-chiffon blouse, both by Gucci, appliquéd leather and lace skirt by Jason Wu, large classic flap bag in caviar leather by Chanel, Spring Garden brocade knee boots by Valentino and diamond ring by Vainard Fine Jewellery.

The head turners: from stripes and metallics for the classicist to dramatic color combinations for the show-stopper, prep your closet for the new season with some of the must-have pieces by GUCCI.
My look: Quilted nylon coat with mink, embroidered striped wool and cashmere-blend sweater, pleated metallic striped stretch-silk midi skirt, Heloise leather lace-Up boots, all by Gucci, large classic flap bag in caviar leather and long bi-colour scarf, both by Chanel.

Velvet is the trend fabric this F/W 2016 season. I have always loved it for the holiday season as it is such a festive material. Since last summer, I have been crazy for the designs that Lorenzo Serafini creates for Philosophy. They are stylish and have a great price point.
This blue velvet dress has become my first disappointment because after wearing it only one day, all seams around the sleeves tore. Unfortunately, I had to give it back – a service that I like about online shopping, no discussion, just a refund to your credit card.
My look: Quilted nylon coat with mink by Gucci, embellished lace-trimmed blue velvet mini dress by Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini, blue velvet ankle boots by Miu Miu and 2.55 quilted bag with attached hanger by Chanel (Front Row Only F/W 2016 collection).
