My Look: Fusalp

Today, I have sported my new FUSALP ski suit for the first time while taking a walk around Gstaad. Made of a totally stretch material for ease of movement, I have enjoyed doing some yoga stretches in the sunny weather. Thanks to its lightweight and high-tech materials, I don’t need to fear the cold or the humidity.

An icon of the brand’s collections, the MONTANA III jacket is as comfortable on the ski slopes as in the city. Made in a two-ply material with a high-performance microporous membrane, it is windproof, water-repellent and breathable. The ELANCIA II ski pants offer the same advantages, and are made of a technical Schoeller© softshell material with fleece backing.

Key pieces for the ski wardrobe, so comfortable you don’t want to take them off.

My look: MONTANA III jacket in ibis, and matching ELANCIA II ski pants in ibis, both by Fusalp, face-covered jersey roll-neck top by BalenciagaTrekkgirl snow boots by Valentino, andicon Audrey wayfarer sunglasses by Celine.

Fusalp

While being in the mountains, I am always looking for ways to keep me warm whilst staying stylish and maintaining functionality when hitting the slopes, taking a walk and enjoying the après-ski of course. One brand that combines technicity, functionality and elegance perfectly is FUSALP –  a must if you want to fulfill your retro fantasies or if you are looking for some of the most stylish, modern high-performance clothing for the slopes.

In 1952, two visionary tailors from Annecy decided to introduce entrepreneurship to their savoir-faire by creating ski garments, including the skin-tight iconic «fuseau» stirrup pants. Born in the heart of the French Alps, FUSALP – which takes its name from an abbreviation of «fuseau from the Alps» – has a signature style that makes it the perfect choice for a returning community of connoisseurs in France as well as around the world.

Generations of ski champions have performed in FUSALP at international competitions since the ’60s, and made the brand famous by sharing values of discipline, performance and elegance.

A controlling stake in the company was acquired in 2013 by Sophie and Philippe Lacoste, former shareholders and heirs of the Lacoste brand. Their objective was to reinvent and revitalize FUSALP and to introduce its quality products to new segments, also with the help of experienced shareholders such as Florac who understood the ready-to-wear market and could drive the brand’s international expansion.

Mathilde Lacoste

Today, under the creative vision of Mathilde Lacoste, wife of Philippe Lacoste, FUSALP has experienced strong growth. The designer orchestrates a balanced equation of tradition and modernity, as well as innovation and style, by constantly exploring the savoir-faire and historic codes of the brand. She designs contemporary collections for both winter and summer, for the slopes as well as the city.

Chloé x FUSALP

Since last winter, fashionistas around the globe have been craving for FUSALP’s stylish collaboration with Chloé. This line of ski clothing and accessories offers a ’70s spirit and a care-free dash. The two iconic French brands have combined their feminine spirits and dynamic fashion visions to create a versatile capsule collection.

Once you try a FUSALP outfit, you will immediately love the comfort and the way you can move. When I visited the FUSALP store, located at Promenade 74 in Gstaad, I went for this orange combo, that will accompany me, with comfort and elegance, during my escapades in the mountains.

FUSALP – at the peak of style!

DiorAlps Capsule

This winter, many fashion houses have launched their own ski collection, including Dior. An ode to escape and the magic of the mountains, the DiorAlps capsule collection designed by Maria Grazia Chiuri celebrates elegance in motion: an exclusive line with a sportswear attitude.

Combining high-tech and Parisian elegance with the Maison’s codes such as the lucky star, the Dior Oblique motif as well as the Mizza leopard print, it includes down jackets, trousers, jumpsuits and Dior Book Tote bags. These pieces are great on the slopes and ideal for après-ski wear.

The collection is available in Dior stores. In Zurich, you can find it at the Globus DiorAlps pop-up shop until January 31, 2022.

adidas for Prada Re-Nylon Collection

adidas and Prada return to introduce a new chapter of their ongoing collaborative partnership – blending Prada’s expert craftsmanship with adidas’ lineage of sportswear innovation. Today, both brands pursue shared commitments to crucial sustainability goals while celebrating two timeless icons: the adidas Originals Forum and Prada’s Re-Nylon fabric.

Demonstrating this partnership’s commitment to innovation, the adidas for Prada Re-Nylon collection reimagines luxury sportswear through a more sustainable lens. For the first time in the collaboration’s history, this collection includes ready-to-wear, accessories, and bags, as well as elevated takes on the adidas Forum High and Low silhouettes. Each piece has been made in Italy by Prada, composed of the brand’s signature, infinitely recyclable Re-Nylon fabric.

First launched in 2019, Prada Re-Nylon is a groundbreaking textile created through the recycling of plastic waste collected from oceans and textile fiber waste – it can be purified and recycled indefinitely, with no loss of quality. Prada Re-Nylon is a fundamental reflection of Prada’s environmentally conscious ideology and commitment to sustainable practices – woven into the very fiber of its signature fabric. This celebration of Prada Re-Nylon through the adidas for Prada collection underscores a landmark: the shift of the entire Prada production from virgin nylon to Re-Nylon, achieved by the end of 2021.

adidas and Prada are also set to celebrate the inherently innovative spirit of their latest collection with a unique digital activation, bringing brands and people together in a radically inclusive manner. Collaborative by nature, fans of the collection will be invited to participate in the metaverse with adidas and Prada through open-source co-creation.

The adidas for Prada Re-Nylon collection launches globally on January 13th, 2022 via Prada boutiques, prada.com and adidas.com/prada.

Louis Vuitton Ski Collection

For the first time, Louis Vuitton launches a capsule collection entirely devoted to skiing.

This collection features a complete wardrobe, suitable for the slopes or chalet, from morning to evening: limited edition ready-to-wear, accessories, shoes and skis.

Whether on the piste or on a walk, style encounters performance. Sporting a brand new LV snowflakeshaped Flocon logo, specially created for the occasion, all the ready-to-wear pieces were designed with comfort in mind, without ever compromising on technical details or style. Puffer feather-lined jackets display printed alpine landscapes at sunset and come with matching nylon leggings and pullovers. Reversible parkas in wool and silk are ideal for enjoying a breath of fresh air, while the pieces dedicated to skiing — jackets, salopettes and trousers — are cut in a stretch material and are completely waterresistant.

With hoods lined to provide warmth and softness, some parkas also boast rope belts and snap hooks inspired by rock climbers. Protective inner cuffs, multiple pockets, zipped trouser bottoms… A wide range of technical details to enable wearers to take full advantage of the snow at top speed.

Glimpses of Monogram appear here and there:
on the fleece fabric of a gilet, on the lining of a leather jacket, or even on the hood of a puffer jacket in ECONYL®. ECONYL® is a unique recyclable material made of 100% recycled nylon fibres, fully in line with Louis Vuitton’s circular creativity approach.

Ideal for a winter at altitude, sweatshirts – with and without zips – mini dresses, textured knitwear, chrome jerseys and soft furs complete the collection. Technical jersey ski trousers, as well as shiny satin jogging trousers, adapt to all winter occasions, day or night.

As for accessories, fox fur mittens and gloves are combined with woollen Monogram caps, brushed
silk and cashmere scarves, as well as hats in a variety of colours. An oversized scarf with a large
Monogram can be wrapped several times around the neck, like a cocoon.

The collection also showcases a variety of shoe models to be worn for après-ski. Inspired by rubber boots and available in two different heights, the TERRITORY boot features a notched sole, a metallic clasp, a Vuitton rubber label and beautiful Gommato leather. As for the POLAR ankle boots, they come in water-proof lined nylon or in Gommato leather, and are set on a wedge heel that’s perfect for a walk in Gstaad or Courchevel.

Last but not least, the collection unveils an innovative ski design. Available as numbered 200-piece limited editions, this pair of skis is made of a wooden core covered with an aluminium alloy sporting the iconic Monogram. As suitable on the slopes as they are off-piste, the skis are inspired by a trip to Courchevel. The alpine summit prints — which are also featured on certain ready-to-wear pieces — cover the base of the ski, topped by the new LV Flocon design.

To complete this exquisite technical set, a pair of high-tech ski boots have been designed, with the expertise and craftsmanship of Tecnica, for high performance results. Available in two shades and adorned with a gradation Monogram embossing and a Monogram canvas strap, the boots are equipped with a thermal heating system, supplied by a rechargeable lithium battery; Bluetooth control, and a soft and comfortable Merino wool lining.

Available in Louis Vuitton stores from the 26th November 2021.

My Look: Soccer

Last Monday, I watched the Euro 2020 game between Switzerland and France which was an absolute thriller, so captivating and good. I feel very blessed to have two nationalities which doubles the chances to win. After my home country Germany lost on Tuesday against England, all my hopes are pinned on Switzerland.

Hopp Schwiiz! Fingers are crossed for another amazing game on Friday against Spain. My outfit is ready – a playful take on soccer fashion.

My look: Oversized embroidered appliquéd printed neon mesh T-shirticon, embroidered logo soccer pants, and soccer neon pink low-top sneakers, all by Balenciaga, fringed intarsia wool scarf by Miu Miu, cat-eye acetate and gold-tone sunglasses by Bottega Veneta, Barocco print soccer ball by Versace, and Carrera Automatic Chronograph by TAG Heuer.

Louis Vuitton Men: LV Trainers

First presented during Virgil Abloh’s debut S/S 2019 show for Louis Vuitton, this season the LV TRAINER inspires new style variations in keeping with its exacting standards: each pair requires at least seven hours of manufacturing.

Drawing inspiration from vintage basketball sneakers, held dear by Virgil Abloh, and set on a technical rubber sole injected with gel and encrusted with contrasting Monogram flowers, this new version will add a lively touch to all the memories summer 2021 has in store for you. The House’s identity stands out once again with the LV signature on the tongue and side and the #54 signature on the back, recalling 1854, the year Louis Vuitton was founded.

As always, the Monogram pattern is in the spotlight, whether reinvented on denim or embossed on grained calfskin, nubuck or smooth leather. But with its blend of materials and patterns, each LV Trainer boasts its own identity in a rainbow of vivid hues, symbolising all the colours of a summer under the sun of optimism, from dawn to sunset.

Burgundy lit up by sunny orange, blue enhanced with black accents, green contrasted with yellow details… The colours are galvanised on a grained and smooth leather design. The collection also showcases the essential white leather sneaker, adorned with the hand-written Louis Vuitton signature, and the denim canvas one, this time beige-tinted, alongside a reflective silver leather model.

This season, three versions in suede leather and denim take on neon pink and yellow shades, echoing the ready-to-wear line. One of them is entirely covered with pink rhinestones, to attract light and style at every step. While the white leather sneaker is bound to last, each colour and style variation will be subject to a limited drop launch.

Lastly, a pair of sandals, available in identical neon shades, adds the finishing touch to the collection. Fitted with the same sole as the sneaker, it is light and supple, the perfect variation of a model designed to be worn at any time of the day.

My Look: Gym

What I truly love about staying at the Gstaad Palace Hotel during lockdown is that I can use the gym every day. Here you see me working out in my new Burberry sportswear which is functional and stylish in one. By the way, I shot all the photos again by myself with my iPhone and the timer function. Don’t you think that I am getting better from day to day… ?!

My look: Printed merino wool-blend cardiganicon, paneled printed stretch sports braicon, and paneled printed stretch leggingsicon, all by Burberry, 123 Run spiked leopard-print neoprene, leather, satin and grosgrain sneakersicon by Christian Louboutin, and Royal Oak 37mm 18-karat frosted rose gold watch by Audemars Piguet.
