Today I would like to invite you to discover the world’s most exclusive eyewear. Established in 1970, the Linda Farrow brand rose quickly to acclaim. Originally a fashion designer herself, Linda Farrow was one of the first to treat sunglasses as fashion, her finger always on the pulse of the times. A tireless experimenter, Farrow pioneered many of the shapes and styles that remain au courant today. Her pioneering use of shape helped move eyewear into high-fashion territory, with avant-garde styles favoured by stars like Yoko Ono and working with brands such as Dior, Yves Saint Laurent, Balenciaga and Sonia Rykiel.
Creative direction: Tracy Sedino and Simon Jablon.
After a twenty year hiatus, the brand was revived in 2003 by Farrow’s son Simon Jablon and his wife Tracy Sedino, following the discovery of a vast archive of vintage sunglasses in the family’s London warehouse. Today, the brand is renowned for collaborating with some of the world’s most acclaimed designers and continues to be the luxury leader in eyewear design. Timeless in design and uncompromising in quality!
I went for this beautiful classic aviator style. A modern design, crafted in a warm and luxurious rose gold-plated titanium with monochromatic lenses, I love to wear them for a glamorous escapade.
Enjoying a healthy breakfast this morning on my balcony at the beautiful Villa Stéphanie with my new sunnies by Linda Farrow.
Right now I am at the Villa Stéphanie in Baden-Baden, Germany that is also part of the Oetker Collection for a week of detox that I will tell you more about soon in detail. At the moment, I am super busy with my program that includes different treatments, healthy eating and lots of sport. For instant updates follow me on Instagram @sandrascloset.
The new Prada Cinéma S/S 2017 eyewear collection stands out with its stylistic blend of sophisticated elegance and contemporary details.
The new sunglasses draw inspiration from the 1960s, reinterpreting the classic rounded shape with a modern twist. The oversized acetate front features thick lines enhanced by the shiny metal upper front profile. They are sophisticated while being extremely wearable.
The iconic flat metal temples – a key theme of the Prada Cinéma collection – are creatively matched with the acetate tips.
The palette includes a wide range of colour combinations, from classic Black and different shades of Tortoise – Classic, Medium, Orchid, Talc – to the new fresh upcoming delicate nuances of Crystal Nude, Crystal Aqua and Crystal Blue.
The collection is available at prada.com, Prada stores and selected retailers worldwide.
The launch is accompanied by a digital film starring model Giedre Dukauskaite – a playful homage to the cinematic escape in which the transformational fantasies of film take center stage. A deceptively simple story of a day at the movies, but what apparently seems an ordinary escape gives way to an unexpected plot.
If you are like me a big fan of the Prada feather top, you can click here to shop it.
Your new must-have eyewear: the «DiorUmbrage» sunglasses from the F/W 2016 catwalk show feature distinctive, innovative mirror lenses with a foliage motif. Developed exclusively for Dior, they demonstrate cutting-edge craftsmanship. The retro-futuristic round front is a juxtaposition of Havana acetate, while the metal temples are adorned with sophisticated details.
The purple mirrored lenses with a foliage motif ensure 100% UV protection.
The color palette includes the following magnetic nuances:
Frame in dark and light havana acetate, rose gold metal temples, pink foliage mirrored lenses
Frame in turquoise and pink havana acetate, gold metal temples, violet foliage mirrored lenses
Frame in blue and turquoise havana acetate, silver metal temples, green foliage mirrored lenses
Frame in blue and light havana acetate, rose gold metal temples, blue lenses
Frame in black and light havana acetate, gun metal temples, grey lenses
I love the ones with the colorful foliage mirrored lenses. But which one should I get, pink, purple or green? E-mail me please which ones you prefer…
Last week, when I got back from New York, I attended in the evening the opening celebration of Dolce & Gabbana‘s new boutique in Zurich, the first one directly operated by the brand in Switzerland. Located at Bahnhofstrasse 10, the new 830 m2 three-story flagship offers women’s, men’s and children swear collections as well as a large selection of accessories. Male customers can also benefit from a special made to measure service.
Guests were browsing the store and everybody loved the new sunglasses. The natural beauty of the flora of Italy is interpreted in this luxurious and fashion forward limited edition eyewear collection.
Louis Vuitton looked also to Hawaii for inspiration (see yesterday’s post here about this summer’s trend ). The «Tropical Journey» capsule collection takes a trip to paradise and comes back with lush nature-inspired prints that are available across the Houses’s iconic models such as Speedy or Neverfull but also on accessories or shoes. Have fun exploring them all below.
Aloha!

Karl Lagerfeld has chosen Cara Delevingne as the face of the S/S 2016 CHANEL eyewear campaign. Since 2012, the young actress has been a close friend of the House and of Karl Lagerfeld. She has walked the runway several times and appeared in different campaigns.
For the S/S 2016 eyewear campaign, she sports a very urban and contemporary look wearing pieces from the CHANEL AIRLINES ready-to-wear collection. The new must-have shades have been presented on the catwalk last October during the S/S 2016 show: an ultra-graphic, mirrored mask with a quilting effect engraved by laser.
Other eyewear models for this summer are:
The Plein Soleil 2016 collection revisits the two-tone – an emblematic House signature – and is inspired by tie-dye motifs. The colours subtly melt into the acetate, sliding progressively from black into blue on the cat-eye sunglasses, and from black into white on an oval optical.
The Bijou 2016 eyewear collection draws inspiration from another CHANEL code: the camellia. The temples of the butterfly shaped sunglasses and a cat-eye optical are adorned with an abundance of camellias in metal and enamel.
The campaign has been shot by Karl Lagerfeld and is expected to be released in April 2016.
Here they are, DIOR SPLIT – the new must-have sunglasses from the House of Dior. Reinventing the classic aviator shape in a graphic style, they are designed with different mirror effect stripes on the lenses. First presented against a sea of blue delphiniums that embellished the S/S 2016 set of Raf Simons last runway show for Dior.
Thanks to Safilo, I was able to get my hands on the new shades and went for the yellow gold with green version. It is very funny feeling when you put them on for the first time as the separation of the lenses can be felt and you literally look through a box. This distraction goes away pretty easily and your eyes get used to the effect.
Available now for € 430.00. Clickhereto visit the website.

Perfect match: my new Dior Fusion sneakers and the Dior Split sunglasses.
Thanks, Dior, for spoiling me!
