My birthday is coming up on the 30th of January, which means a brand sparkling new year is laying ahead of me! My last year was like a detox. A cleansing process that I see as a jumpstart into the new year ahead. I lost some friends but I also found amazing new ones. Lots of new possibilities, adventures, memories to be made, I celebrate the strength I’ve found in myself and the love I’ve received from those around me.

New Alaïa, new denim! I am such a huge fan of Pieter Mulier‘s first collection for Alaïa. Four years after Alaïa’s passing, the Belgian designer, who was Raf Simons right hand before, created a collection with so many amazing pieces that pay homage to Azzedine Alaïa‘s greatest hits, including body-sculpting knitwear, multi-strap corset belts, and hooded silhouettes evocative of Alaïa’s North African roots. As Pieter said, he wanted his first collection for the French house to be «a return to foundations.» I bought many pieces, among them this beautiful denim look that I photographed on the streets of Paris and that you will hopefully like as much as I do.

This feed was in need of some summer clothes and a vibrant look. Have you planned already your summer vacation? I haven’t so far but after spending so many weeks in Gstaad, I will definitely head back to Clinique La Prairie, where those photos were taken at the pool, for some detox before going the beach.

If you make waves, you change a situation by doing things in a very different way, so why not playing with your accessories and putting on a turban to stir things up.

My house is still a big construction site, therefore I moved a few days to Baur au Lac to enjoy some dust-free time. However, it is coming along and I cannot wait to see the final result.

One jacket, two looks. Power shoulders have always made a strong statement in fashion and they work with pants and skirts. The strong shoulder is most associated with the 80s, but it first had a heyday in the 30s and 40s, as a sign of women’s liberation, when the female suit was primarily birthed. Shoe designer Amina Muaddi teams up with Wolford for a limited-edition collaboration including hosiery, leggings, bodysuits, jumpsuits, socks and a few skin-tight dresses.

After my master detox program at Clinique La Prairie I feel so full of energy which translates into my choice of fashion. Happy Valentine’s Day to everyone!
