My Look: Say Cheese!

Say cheese! In Switzerland, you do that literally all the time, as it is the cheese capital of the world. Being such an integral part of its cuisine, the infamous cheese fondue and raclette are prime examples. During my stay at the Gstaad Palace, I ate at least once or twice a week at the so-called «Fromagerie» (French for cheesery), where those photos were taken. In case you wondering about the sausages, Swiss people like to start with a «Plättli» (little plate) of dry meat.

As this kind of food is pretty heavy and also very odorous, I recommend wearing something comfy. I love this mountain look, it is the perfect combination of being stylish, yet cozy. And the best is yet to come, the back of the sweater is open, so you don’t get too hot!

My Look: Black Friday

My kind of Black Friday! Due to the current pandemic, I have a phobia of long lines, and too many people. I am a big fan of online shopping anyway which also avoids pressured decisions. Don’t be tempted too much just because it is marked down. Invest in classic pieces that you will treasure forever like this outfit I am wearing in today’s post.

My favorite offer today so far? MYTHERESA offers 30% off already marked down pieces. Click here to browse through the large selection.

My Look: Tropical Meets Apple Tree

With this warm forecast set for September, we will all spend as much time outdoors as possible. Even though we might not be jetting off to some beautiful tropical island, that doesn’t mean we cannot wear those vibrant holiday prints at home. Tropical patterns have been a huge trend this summer. I think they match perfectly with Swiss apple trees and green meadows, don’t you agree?

My Look: Bookworm

I would consider myself a fashionable bookworm. In my house, I have my own little library, filled with all sorts of books. Reading is so much more my thing than watching TV. During quarantine I indulged in so many captivating books – psychological thrillers are my favorite genre. You can find my reading list on my Amazon x Sandra’s Closet book shop. Stay tuned, as I will upload a new section very soon. Don’t forget, fashion can be as imaginative as your favorite stories.

My Look: Valence

This was my outfit that I wore to my gourmet dinner at Anne-Sophie Pic in Valence. Comfy yet stylish, not too tight to be able to fully indulge in the 10-course three Michelin stars culinary experience. I am repeating myself, it is another Zimmermann dress but I love their luxe bohemian creations so much – the perfect wardrobe for sun-soaked destinations.

My Look: Lake Como

Greetings from the beautiful Villa d’Este. This was a difficult post to shoot as I faced three obstacles, first the photos were taken right before dinner with not the best light, secondly it was raining and last but not least my dear boyfriend was not in the mood to take some pictures as usual. However, I tried to get the best out of it, so that you can see one of my favorite summer outfits. I am such a big fan of jumpsuits and this one is light and unexpected as it looks like a dress.

Are you looking for the perfect party sandal? This pair features darling strawberry details, slim straps that wrap securely around the ankle, and a pin-thin heel.

My look: Bellitude cutout ruffled floral-print silk-crepon jumpsuiticon by Zimmermann, Jodie mini knotted leather tote by Bottega Veneta, Fragolina sandals by Aquazzuraiconmetal glass pearls leather earrings by CHANEL (Cruise 2020), Coco Crush color in beige gold with diamonds by CHANEL Fine Jewelry, Rose Céleste necklace in 18k yellow and white gold, diamond, onyx and mother-of-pearl by Dior Fine Jewelry, and Royal Oak 37mm 18-karat frosted rose gold watch by Audemars Piguet.

My Look: Villa d’Este

Greetings from Lake Como, where I am staying at one of my favorite hotels in the world, Villa d’Este. It is simply a heaven in one of Italy’s most desirable locations: Cernobbio. This Renaissance era palace is a portal to another world, with a touch of Italian Old World charm it is a true luxurious experience. Walking through the beautiful gardens, I am wearing my favorite summer uniform, a floral Zimmermann gown and a Bottega Veneta bag. The linen fabrics are easy to pack and look great even a little bit wrinkled.

My look: Zinnia floral-print linen midi dressicon and Aurora oversized butterfly acetate sunglassesicon, both by Zimmermann, Almost Bare metallic leather sandalsicon by Aquazzura, Jodie mini knotted leather toteicon by Bottega Veneta and Royal Oak 37mm 18-karat frosted rose gold watch by Audemars Piguet.

Looking at the terrible news from Beirut, I am so thankful that I am in such a beautiful and safe environment. Sending prayers to Lebanon. Everyone, stay safe! It is not the easiest time we are living in at the moment. So enjoy every day to the fullest!

Edgardo Osorio: Capri

I am here in CAPRI to celebrate life and EDGARO OSORIO‘s new island adventure, the beautiful new shop located in the city center. Here, the story of the famous shoe brand began during a sunny summer day on the terrace of JK Place. The view of the bright blue color of the sea inspired the name AQUAZZURA. The light, sun, colors and sea of this unique island embody mood and unmistakable vibe of the brand’s lifestyle. Today, Edgardo shares his travel tips for Capri.

Your favourite holiday destination?
CAPRI is one of my favourite places to holiday in Italy, with its rugged coastline, the Blue Grotto and delicious food, this island is a treat for all the senses. The island is particularly close to my heart as it is where I came up with the name and concept for Aquazzura. Like Capri, Aquazzura should remind you of the Dolce Vita and of a fabulous summer holiday.

Your favourite hotel?
When I am in Capri my home is always the JK PLACE HOTEL.
Via Marina Grande, 225, 80076 Capri NA, Phone: +39 081 838 4001

Your favourite restaurant during the day?
For lunch my favourite restaurant is IL RICCIO in Anacapri.
Via Gradola, 4, 80071 Anacapri NA, Phone: +39 081 837 1380

Your favourite restaurant at night?
For dinner, I love restaurant DA PAOLINO.
Via Palazzo a Mare, 3/4, 80076 Marina Grande NA, Phone: +39 081 837 6102

Your favourite night club?
After I dance the night away at TAVERNA ANEMA E CORE, a really unique night club with a retro vibe.
Via Sella Orta, 1, 80076 Capri NA, Phone: +39 081 837 6461

Your favourite gelateria?
If you are looking for the best ice cream in Capri, you have to visit GELATERIA BUONOCORE, my favourite.
Via Vittorio Emanuele, 35, 80073 Capri NA, Phone: +39 081 837 7826

Your favourite day activity?
During the day I love chilling at LA FONTELINA BEACH CLUB.

Your favourite sightseeing spot?
When you are in Capri, you cannot leave without visiting the beautiful VILLA LYSIS, you will be amazed by the best view of Capri. It is a unique and enchanting spot, closely tied to the life and tastes of Jacques d’Adelswärd Fersen, a Parisian count who withdrew to the island of Capri in self-imposed exile to escape a series of scandals in his home country.
Via Lo Capo, 12, 80076 Capri NA

Your favourite shop?
Of course for the best shoes, you cannot miss the new AQUAZZURA boutique!
Via Vittorio Emanuele, 5, 80073 Capri NA, Phone: +39 081 1807 3010

The best book to read while being on vacation there?
A book that always reminds me of Capri is THE EXILE OF CAPRI, the story of a young eccentric aristocrat that used to live in the historic VILLA LYSIS that exiles in Capri and finds love.

The best soundtrack for this destination?
To better feel the atmosphere of this amazing island I love listening to the song TU VUÒ FA’ L’AMERICANO, the version sang by FIORELLO that is the soundtrack of one of my favourite movies, THE TALENTED MR. RIPLEY shot at the Amalfi Coast.

Thank you, Edgardo, for sharing your insider scoop on Capri with us!
