After my master detox program at Clinique La Prairie I feel so full of energy which translates into my choice of fashion. Vibrant, colorful, full of life, for Gucci‘s «Epilogue» collection Alessandro Michele takes inspiration from the bohemian styles of the ’60s and ’70s. «Epilogue» was conceived as a vibrant rejection of fashion’s more «traditional» guidelines. It reveals all of the elements that have guided the Gucci aesthetic over the last six years. This brightly coloured paisley print ensemble speaks to the narrative used throughout the collection. It’s cut for a figure-skimming fit from breathable cotton and linen-blend canvas printed with a rainbow of swirling paisleys.

Hello beautiful weather! Time to put on some fun pieces. Do you know what shibori and macramé are? My beautiful and super comfy jumpsuit is printed with a Japanese shibori – inspired pattern. Shibori (from the verb root «shiboru» – «to wring, squeeze or press») is a Japanese manual tie-dyeing technique, which produces a number of different patterns on fabric. Macramé is a crafting technique that uses knots to create various textiles as seen on my bag and shoes. I love the combination of both beautiful craftsmanships and hope you will like it too!

Today’s look is all about enhancing the timeless, retro-influenced mood that is trending at the moment. Reinvigorate your wardrobe with the bold and vibrant designs everyone has their sights on. My striped outfit is from the Ken Scott x Gucci collection that I absolutely adore.
Ken Scott was an American designer who resided in Milan in the 60s and 70s. He was known as the «fashion gardener» for his colourful, oversized botanical prints and vibrant colors. Alessandro Michele worked with Scott’s archive to incorporate his prints on signature House designs: «Ken Scott was a really great creator of fabrics, he mapped out flowers with romanticism and flowers into pop culture. He treated flowers like shop signs, he multiplied them, turned them into something that stood out. I like his work because I am obsessed with floral prints.»
I went for the less obvious print, instead of flowers I feel in love with those rainbow stripes. The perfect outfit for enjoying the change of the season, as I did on this beautiful day at Gstaad Palace hotel in the end of February.

What I truly love about staying at the Gstaad Palace Hotel during lockdown is that I can use the gym every day. This year has taught us to keep it super simple. My dear Carolina Bucci has taken this message further and created K.I.S.S., a collection inspired by a fascination with the inner workings of a watch. In 2016, she launched with Audemars Piguet the famous Royal Oak Frosted Gold. Its shimmering sparkle reminiscent of diamond dust, that I love so much, comes from a surface treatment process rooted in an ancient gold hammering technique, also called the Florentine technique, which is an iconic style element used by Carolina Bucci for her eponymous jewelry line.
In 2018, when she was working with the master watchmakers at Audemars Piguet to finalize the designs for her limited edition Royal Oak, she began to ask herself a hypothetical question: What would these craftsmen and craftswomen create if they were let loose in the world of fine jewelry?
There is a word often used in high-end watchmaking to describe the technical aspects and achievements of the craft: complication. Whereas the word carries a negative meaning in most other areas of life, for the watchmaker, it is something to be pursued and acclaimed. This inspired the K.I.S.S. collection, specifically the balance spring, which is also called the heart of the watch. At Carolina Bucci, gold does things it shouldn’t do. So in this case, gold is elastic. Each bracelet and necklace is at its simplest, one single coil of 18k gold, just like a spring. Its minimalism means you can stack it with a timepiece or other jewelry.
Much as one tells the time on one’s watch, without thinking too much about it, these pieces are designed to be the opposite of complicated… to keep it super simple.

With this warm forecast set for September, we will all spend as much time outdoors as possible. Yesterday was probably one of the most emotional days in my life. My daughter went off to college, flying to the US by herself as I was not allowed to accompany her due to the current pandemic. This truly breaks my heart. Not only letting her go is pretty tough on me, but not being there for her to settle in is even harder. However, I know that she will be fine, she grew into an amazing and independent woman and I am proud of her.
We took those photos this week, when she caught me thinking on my balcony. Not only I am loosing my daughter at home, but also my photographer. That is also pretty tough for me!
