This F/W 2018 season, ankle boots in white are a must! Originally introduced as a low-heeled, mid-calf go-go boot by designer André Courrèges in 1964, and later called the Courrèges boot, it also became famous through the song «These Boots Are Made for Walkin’» in 1966 when Nancy Sinatra performed in a white go-go model, and got credited with further popularising the boot.

This season, designers reworked the footwear item of the season by injecting it with allure, a pointed toe, and leg-lengthening thin heels. Style them with monochrome separates for a modern office look.

In the ’80s everything was large and bold, from hairstyles to shoulder pads to earrings. Power dressing and the influence of television soap series such as «Dynasty» played an important role. Jewelry became more than just a fashion accessory; it was about making a statement.
Eighties earrings were large and dramatic and a staple for any ’80s woman. Clip-on earrings were popular as pierced styles were often too heavy to wear and faux gemstones were all the rage.
Here is how to work ’80s «Dynasty» earrings trend for F/W 2018:

This year, we were so incredibly lucky with the weather. After an amazing summer, we got to experience the Swiss fall in all its colourful glory. I cannot remember ever having worn such an airy dress in October… now I am ready to unpack the winter clothes.
My look: Flou paneled printed georgette midi dress by Balenciaga, appliquéd leather sneakers by Prada, Tonda Métropolitaine watch by Parmigiani Fleurier, rose diamond ring by Piaget, crystal aviator sunglasses, denim bracelet, and velvet Boy bag in burgundy, all by Chanel.
This fall, I am falling for you…

Call me a fashion victim but I really do like my BALENCIAGA TRIPLE S SNEAKERS. They have grown on me. The chunky dad sneaker trend has been all the rave and it didn’t take long until it went to high fashion. Balenciaga was fast and responded to this craze by releasing the chunkiest and most dad-like sneaker ever. It is comfortable, has been copied and runs out as quickly as it gets restocked… TO SHOP A LARGE VARIETY OF THE TRIPLE S SNEAKER, CLICK HERE PLEASE.
My look: No Smoking print T-shirt by Saint Laurent, printed low-rise skinny jeans by Givenchy, quilted leather crossbody bag and Triple S sneakers, both by Balenciaga, and Audrey wayfarer sunglasses by Céline.

Aren’t we all about a two-for-one kind of a deal?! That’s why I would like to show you the It-piece of the S/S 2018 season, the hybrid piece, that is pretty exciting for me. Spotted on the runways of the likes of Alexander Wang, Balenciaga and Sacai to name a few, the designers layer two separate items and are selling them as one. A blouse attached to a cardigan, a crepe dress with another overlay dress, even a cashmere sweater with a lingerie top.

Though the idea of letting a brand choose how you should style clothes might sound limiting, all of the pieces below feel surprisingly versatile and entirely stylish. And after all, these designers know a thing or two about how to put together an outfit—why not let them do the work?
Check out my favorite hybrid picks below, and good news is they are all on sale. So you can really try the trend for yourself without feeling guilty! Don’t forget you are getting two for one!
From left to right: Layered lace-trimmed satin and jersey dress, Stack Tie tie-front distressed high-rise straight-leg jeans, and paneled wool-blend, lace and satin sweater, all by Alexander Wang.
From left to right: Cotton-twill and denim coat, and layered printed crepe de chine and silk midi dress, all by Balenciaga.
From left to right: Printed striped cotton-poplin shirt, and printed striped cotton-poplin bandeau top, both by Prada.
From left to right: Layered straight jeans, and layered oversized jeans, both by Natasha Zinko.

Chunky sneakers are trending as never before – that is a fact! But over the past couple of months, you may have noticed the term «dad sneaker»all over. If you follow the fashion world, you’ll be well aware what this is. However some of you may still be in the dark, therefore I am about to inform you with this post. Meet the most important version: Balenciaga’s sneakers «Triple S» are the epitome of dad shoes that are sold out everywhere (still popping up from time to time).

Those sneakers perfectly capture the street-style look of the moment. The toe is embroidered with the size of the shoe, while the side has the brand name embroidered for recognition.

How did the «Triple S» got its name?
Taken from running, basketball and track shoes, molds were stacked to create the silhouette of this heavily padded, triple-soled design. The name «Triple S» comes from its three layers of soles. The shoe was originally presented at the Balenciaga men’s F/W 2017 show by artistic director Demna Gvasalia in Paris.

While you are reading this, I am in Cannes for the Film Festival. Before I left, my daughter had taken these photos in Zurich for a school project, making me dance in front of tourists. The jumpsuit is one of my favorite pieces from this S/S 2018 season. I adore the cut (so ’70s) and the color so much. The sunglasses are around 20 years old. When I bought them two decades ago, everybody was making fun of me how big they were and told me I looked like a bug. So funny, compared to today’s models, those ones are tiny… time changes, tastes differ.
My look: Belted wool and silk-blend cady jumpsuit, white oval vintage sunglasses, and platform leather pumps, all by Gucci, quilted leather crossbody bag by Balenciaga, faux-pearl tassel earrings by Oscar de la Renta, and Horsebit blue topaz diamond white gold ring by Gucci Fine Jewellery.

Balenciaga’s green dollar–print shirt offers a sublime example of Demna Gvasalia‘s reinvention of timeless house codes. Convertible and layered, it can be worn in different ways – one of my favorite pieces of the season. In Switzerland you can find a great selection at Trois Pommes.
My look: Newspaper dollar bill print convertible layered poplin shirt, and Fuseau stirrup trousers, both by Balenciaga, black calf leather lace up Janis pumps by Saint Laurent, shopping tote (S/S 2009) and handbag raincoat, both by Chanel, and Le Chapeau Vallauris felt hat by Jacquemus, heart diamond necklace by Cartier, daisy necklace and Rose des Vents bracelet, 18k yellow gold, diamond and turquoise, both by Dior Fine Jewellery, T Wire Narrow 18-karat rose gold cuff by Tiffany & Co. and Tonda 1950 Galaxy by Parmigiani Fleurier.

History does repeat itself, and so do trends. Here’s another throwback to ’90s hair must-haves (after the revival of the barrettes) that is celebrated this S/S 2018 season: SCRUNCHIES.
Sarah Jessica Parker with a perm and a scrunchie in 1988.
It was no other than Carrie Bradshaw in Sex and the City who sentenced scrunchies in one episode to the purgatory of style faux pas with her portentous proclamation to her boyfriend Berger for mentioning a scrunchie in his novel, claiming that no New Yorker in her right mind would ever wear one. Love them, hate them, but you cannot ignore them, scrunchies were making a comeback even on the catwalk, and funkier than the ones we had been wearing decades ago.
Times change. Would it be controversial to say that now looking at those fabulous Balenciaga leather ones, I actually disagree with Carrie Bradshaw and totally think that they really are rather fabulous?!
YOU CAN SHOP THE BALENCIAGA SCRUNCHIES IN DIFFERENT COLOURS AT BROWNS FASHION AND NET-A-PORTER. FOR AROUND €150 EACH.
Styling tip: Because those leather scrunchies tend to keep sliding down your hair, I recommend giving it a good grip by applying SACHAJUAN’s Hair Powder to the part where the base of your ponytail will be. This will give your hair texture, fullness and help keep your scrunchie stay in place without adding any weight to your tresses.

With the athleisure trend dominating off-duty style, I am always looking for ways to rock the sporty gear for work, too. Track pants are officially one of the biggest fashion hypes of the moment, with many designers willing to take them from the gym to the streets. I opted for green stirrup trousers since it’s unapologetically one of the most eye-catching colors.
1 Striped silk crepe de chine track pants by Fendi
2 Striped satin-jersey track pants by Palm Angels
3 Logo-print cotton track pants by MSGM
4 Contrast-piping jersey track pants by REDValentino
5 Striped tech-jersey stirrup leggings by Gucci
6 Fuseau stirrup trousers by Balenciaga (the ones I couldn’t resist)
Enjoy your Easter weekend!
