The last days in NYC as the new digital influencer for Estée Lauder were absolutely amazing. I had many interesting meetings and enjoyed the beautiful sunshine. Here you see me at a private home at the Upper East Side with the most spectacular view over the city and Central Park. Needless to say, the perfect backdrop to take some photos of my outfit that was daring and conservative at once, a twist that I love.

As you know I am in Rio de Janeiro at the moment and extremely busy watching all sorts of olympic competitions and events which means there is really no time left to post. Two weeks ago, I accepted a lovely invitation by Silvio Denz, CEO and President of LALIQUE, to join him for an amazing dinner experience at Park Weggis, the partner hotel of Villa René Lalique, that was constructed in 1920 and brought back to life by my host in September 2015. Today, it boasts six exclusive suites and an up-scale gourmet restaurant. Manning the kitchen is none other than two-star chef and autodidact Jean-Georges Klein who had come to Weggis for this evening to spoil us with his dishes that are colourful and rich in contrast, for the eyes, the palate and the bite.

In terms of fashion, I went for an outfit that sported cascading layers of soft silk chiffon with a ‘trompe l’oeil‘ illusion of voluminous, layered ruffles. The feminine colours ensured a party-ready appearance.
My look: Feather cape by Balmain, sequined-bow tiered silk-chiffon gown, fringed cracked-leather pumps, feline earrings with crystals, fringed cracked-leather pumps, gold-tone crystal bracelet and crystal embellished ring, all by Gucci, envelope bag by Céline and diamond ring by Vainard Fine Jewellery.

Last fall, I was invited to a really fun party in London. The invite said to wear an accessory or a full look dedicated to the X-Men movies. I went through my closet – as I hate real costumes – to put an outfit together that would come as close as possible. And I think I succeeded pretty well.

Dressing in winter when going out is always a hassle. If you wear heavy outerwear, you will be stuck at the coat check or if you try to go light, you will be freezing the whole evening. Therefore winter layers are the way to go. Here you see me past Wednesday in Paris when leaving for Jean Paul Gaultier’s private dinner during couture week. The trick is to layer without bulking up and to stay stylish even in cold temperatures. A cape is a great way to wear even the most voluptuous sleeves. And in the end, when I went on the dance floor, I just left the light black ensemble …

Olivier Rousteing, Balmain‘s Creative Director, wrote yesterday on his instagram account: «U made me love FASHION yesterday, U make me love FASHION today, and U re going to make me love FASHION in the future.» In the pictures that he commented on, he was next to Cindy Crawford, Claudia Schiffer and Naomi Campbell.
His #BalmainArmy is in expansion mode and the three ’90s supermodels are the faces of the S/S 2016 campaign shot by Steven Meisel. Posing in the designer’s body-conscious and ruffled new seaon’s creations, they look as stunning as 20 years ago and are a perfect fit for the French Maison. Personally speaking, the three icons are so much more beautiful than Kendall and Gigi, the previous faces. I am sure this campaign will have a lot of success.
