On Thursday evening, together with Bobbi Brown Cosmetic I hosted a dinner for the launch of Bobbi Brown‘s new Caviar & Oyster Collection at my house.

Bobbi’s inspiration for this season started when she spotted a black motorcycle jacket next to a piece of delicate pink satin. Seeing the two items together prompted her to create this amazing make-up collection, designing a contrast of both, polished and edgy. “It’s all about combining different textures and finishes.” – Bobbi Brown

Above you can see the lovely Bobbi Brown Cosmetic team from Switzerland with me and the invite for the evening.

Unfortunately, Bobbi couldn’t make it herself but she sent me a lovely note along with a little gift that meant a lot to me.

The dinner was held in three different rooms with each room having its own special ambiance, from cozy to elegant and oriental.

Speaking of combining different textures and finishes, famous chef Peter Marty borrowed Bobbi Brown’s inspiration to create a menu that was – of course – all about caviar and oysters.

Between each course, one part of the Caviar & Oyster collection was beautifully revealed to the guests. Each of them got a plate with the products that were immediately applied with enthusiasm. Can you imagine how much fun we had?! Great food, sparkling champagne, only girls and trying out new make-up, it felt like being in heaven.

LIPGLOSSES

With Bobbi Brown, I spent a beautiful day in Munich for the launch of Bobbi’s seventh book:

Sandy decor at Munich‘s hotspot Nektar, colourful goodie bags, hardcover copies displayed on white Nektar-branded crates and a nice crowd of journalists expected me for a wonderful lunch. And this is all what renowned makeup artist Bobbi Brown wants to achieve with her do-good attitude towards makeup: To make you feel “pretty powerful” and to be confident.

The tome includes stories in which the beauty guru hand picked celebrities, athletes, and everyday women to pose for before and after makeover shots plus tips how to eat healthy.

When I am travelling, I try to limit the amount of beauty products that I pack to a minimum. Therefore, I am a huge fan of Bobbi Brown’s new Soothing Cleansing Oil as it combines different makeup removing steps in one. It is a quick yet luxurious way to cleanse your skin. Featuring precious jasmine flower extract, it leaves skin feeling soothed, supple and comfortable. It also doubles as a gentle non-waterproof makeup remover for eyes and lips and won’t clog pores.

How you use it:

1. Pump a generous amount of cleansing oil into dry hands and smooth over dry face.
2. Splash warm water onto skin and massage to help dissolve surface impurities and makeup.
3. Rinse skin clean with warm water. If needed, repeat this process to thoroughly remove long-wearing eye and lip formulas.

So, I was pretty curious to try this product. And there is just one word for it, amazing! I have used it now for over two months and it works its magic. Much more than a wrinkle-corrector, it is a skincare capable of fundamentally re-creating more beautiful skin. This was my look for the Versace for H&M fashion show last week in NYC. The fabric pays tribute to the iconic Versace prints and as you know I love Mary Katrantzou’s designs! This dress with its wide bell skirt is truly a piece of art for me.

Welcome to Ulus 29! The trendy restaurant with its bar and nightclub is an Istanbul classic. Located between the first and second Bosphorus bridges, overlooking the Anatolian side with one of the most beautiful Istanbul Strait views, it combines contemporary and traditional interiors.  The menu is a mix of both as well, from a wide sashimi selection to mini pita, Turkish pizza and yoghurt kebab.
