Some of the world’s leading pop-artists, such as Roy Lichtenstein, Mondrian and Sonia Delaunay were the force behind a lot of collections. Circle motifs, bright colors and bold, intersecting stripes gave the runway an energetic vibe.

Conceptual and experimental, the next season silhouettes take center stage with pieces in an array of different colors and all sorts of materials. The probably most modern trend of all.

Gosh, this Zurich weather is driving me up the wall. I just got back with a nice tan from Ibiza but cannot show it as it is cold and rainy outside. What a pity!

A few days ago, I wrote a post about those lovely Burberry Prorsum capes and I tell you that this has been one of the best investments recently. You can easily throw it over your shoulder and it gives you just the perfect touch of warmth in the month of August. Later in the season you can add it as another layer to your winter coat. Burberry Prorsum were key in setting the blanket poncho trend for F/W 2014 and have left us spoilt for choice. I think these are a great alternative to a full-on coat. Wear yours thrown over the shoulder, as a coat or belted at the waist. These super-luxurious pieces are effortlessly chic and just perfect for when you need an impromptu cover-up should the weather suddenly become chilly in the evenings. Feminine, sophisticated and reminiscent of 1950s elegance, for the new season polka dots returned to the S/S 2014 runway. At Burberry Prorsum they came in a modernized and bold way, while at Dolce & Gabbana and Moschino they appeared smaller in black and white or red – all aptly retro-inspired, especially given Moschino’s special anniversary show.
