I Only Love Wild Roses

CARTIER launches right in time for Valentine’s Day three new three new fragrances dedicated to the queen of flowers. So many roses in perfume, but where is the daring? So many stories with rose water. Mathilde Laurent, Cartier’s perfumer, hates the archetype of the rose— an emblem of femininity withered before it blooms — and desires to give it back its true nature. «I only love wild roses», she says.

Avant-garde, she communicates its freedom in three acts. Cartier roses are neither meek nor submissive, they show their thorns with pride and dare to do anything!
Three perfumes, three strokes of rose take over the Maison’s High Perfumery:

PURE ROSE
for the Les Épures de Parfum Collection (a fully naked rose),
L’HEURE OSÉE
for Les Heures de Parfum (a punk rose),
OUD & PINK
for Les Heures Voyageuses (a shocking, androgynous rose in a tuxedo).

So, let us discover the rose… and above all, not cut it, so that it stays fresh, raw, lively, wild, acidic and daring. May it never wither.

L’HEURE OSÉE
Les Heures de Parfum Collection
No, this rose is not cute! It hates girly, baby doll, pastel pink or layettes. It is the pink that flushes the cheeks. It is blushing and bright, and this rose boasts only four letters: dare!
Fearless, it’s the hour of the exploding rose. An unprecedented pink, in touch with its time, with what is fresh and pop, as iconic as Warhol’s style…

PURE ROSE
Les Épures de Parfum Collection
We could devour it, now, raw, naked. A raw rose found in nature, bursting with life and essence that pulsates with freshness and permeates the nostrils.
No frills, just the pure and simple pleasure of a hyper-realistic rose that chooses to offer up her authentic, naked truth.

OUD & PINK
Les Heures Voyageuses Collection
This rose plays with gender, mixing the floral and the masculine, the rough with the smooth; a male rose. For women who flirt with contradiction and adore men’s fragrance.
Take a leap and plunge into the rugged and shadowy oud whilst wearing a dinner jacket with nothing underneath. Unstoppable.

My Look: Pink Is My Color

Truth is, I love everything pink. It is such a powerful color. Pink comprises pop culture and fashion, playfulness and girlhood. It can be innocent and not so innocent, luxurious and tacky. This weekend, I am feeling like floating on a pink cloud because it is my birthday. Therefore I have prepared this post as I will indulge in my special day and take some time off.

My look: La Veste Esterel jacket, matching Valerie cutout woven midi skirticon, Le Haut Pampelonne bralette, and Riviera frayed cotton pumpsicon, all by Jacquemus, small flap bag with top handle by CHANEL, Horsebit blue topaz diamond white gold ringicon by Gucci Fine Jewellery, and Pasha C chronograph in steel (2000) by Cartier.

My Look: Bridgerton

Binged Bridgerton yet? The ostentatious period drama set in the Regency Era has me looking through my closet and the fashions of the time. Here is today’s outfit inspired by my new favorite Netflix series shot in my room at the Gstaad Palace hotel.

My Look: New Year

I celebrated New Year’s Eve in grand style at the beautiful Gstaad Place hotel with friends. Towering over the village of Gstaad, the address offers breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding Swiss Alps, and always the best parties with unique service. Even if we weren’t allowed to dance, the celebration was great and we still managed to move on our seats.

I wore this beautiful black Monique Lhuillier gown inspired by classic ’50s couture. It has a guipure lace bodice trimmed with a waist-cinching satin sash and a frothy tulle skirt that’s discreetly padded to create all that volume.

My Look: Satin-trimmed guipure lace and tulle gownicon by Monique Lhuillier, zodiac embroidered appliquéd canvas clutchicon by Olympia Le-Tan, Kate 100 suede pumpsicon by Christian Louboutin, crystal-embellished snake necklace, and silver-tone crystal clip earringsicon, both by Alessandra Rich, bracelets and Panthère de Cartier Manchette 22mm 18-karat rose gold and diamond watchicon, all by Cartier.

My Look: Thank You Fall

Thank you, fall, for all your beautiful colors and those amazing sunny days. Orange combined with turquoise is such an amazing color combination, together they make a statement as soon as you walk out the door. Getting dressed should be all about fun so why shouldn’t our accessories be? This Prada jewelry is for cool girls only, injecting some summer vibes into your fall wardrobe.

My look: Bead-embellished wool coat, turquoise pleated suede mini skirtcrab pendant necklace, and matching crab pendant earrings, all by Prada, turquoise cashmere sweater by CHANEL30den tights in turquoise by Dries Van Noten x FogalAngel platform boots in turquoise by Gucci, and Clash de Cartier ring in 18K rose gold with amazonite by Cartier.

My Look: The First Look

This will be my first look when I am done packing! Comfy yet stylish, Isabel Marant‘s designs are always a great choice when you want to feel cool. After weeks of being in trainers and having broken finger nails, I am so ready to go out after my move. You might think I am crazy but I am a big collector of everything. Therefore we, the moving company and I, do the move in steps which is actually great. For me, the current pandemic is a blessing, I have definitely no fomo (fear of missing out). I am filled with anticipation when everything is over and the world will be my oyster!

My look: Albi draped printed silk crepe de chine midi dressicon, Azale cotton-blend turtleneck sweater, Kressy leather belticon, and Duerto embroidered leather bootsicon, all by Isabel Marant, vintage purple fringed bag with stone embellishment by Etro and  Tank Française 18-karat gold and stainless steel watch by Cartier.

My Look: Fall

During a few weeks in the fall season, nature presents us with various shades of yellow, orange, red, purple, and brown. They make the perfect backdrop to sport an outfit in intense hues that involves using «blocks of color» to create a bold, eye-catching look.

The New Way of Watch Shopping

Starting from today, NET-A-PORTERicon and MR PORTER will be the privileged multi-brand online retailers of Watches & Wonders, a global concept that celebrates watchmaking excellence throughout the world. Hosting digital and offline events, this concept will bring some of the industry’s most revered luxury watch brands to the online shopping destination’s extensive customer base, starting from today. Fourteen watchmaking Maisons will feature as part of this initiative, together for the first time.

A great example for a super informative masterclass for Net-à-Porter’s EIP clients last June.

Over the course of the campaign, NET-A-PORTER and MR PORTER customers will be able to enjoy a calendar of activity, including exclusive EIP (Extremely Important Person) virtual events and small-scale appointment-based activity, virtual one-to-one appointments and interactive Instagram Live conversations hosted by NET-A-PORTER and PORTER’s Editor in Chief, Sarah Bailey, and MR PORTER’s Senior Watch Editor, Chris Hall.

In anticipation of the celebrated campaign, and in response to extensive customer research across both retailers, NET-A-PORTER and MR PORTER will also introduce a number of new website enhancements to the luxury watch shopping experience, including an improved size guide and the addition of trend-driven, occasion-based and material filters. Further developments will follow in the near future.

One of my favorite watches that I got at Net-à-Porter: Panthère de Cartier Manchette 22mm 18-karat rose gold and diamond watchicon by Cartier

The arrival of Watches & Wonders on NET-A-PORTER and MR PORTER marks a significant moment for the industry, bringing together the leading watch and jewellery players, and establishes the luxury retailers as the ultimate global shopping destinations for fine watches. Following on from the Watches & Wonders digital platform that occurred on NET-A-PORTER’s Tmall flagship store in April, this new initiative marks the beginning of a year-long programme and showcases a unique tri-fold industry approach to the fast-evolving luxury watch landscape.

With Alison Loehnis at a Net-à-Porter event

«By teaming up with the world’s premier watch showcase, we want to provide an international platform for the most exceptional timepieces, supporting an environment where their stories – and those of their iconic makers – can come alive and be accessed by watch lovers across the globe
Alison Loehnis, President, NET-A-PORTER & MR PORTER

NET-A-PORTERicon will introduce the latest creations from Cartier, Hermès, IWC Schaffhausen, Jaeger LeCoultre, Piaget and Vacheron Constantin.

Bovet’s limited-edition Dimier Recital 27 Green that will launch at Mr Porter.

MR PORTER will host a curated offering of the most recent creations from across 13 prestigious watch Maisons including Cartier, HYT and Panerai, and will introduce two new brands: Ulysse Nardin and Bovet. Ulysse Nardin will launch with eight timepieces, including the Blast Rose Gold; Bovet will launch with four timepieces, including the limited-edition Dimier Recital 27 Green.

Another beauty in my closet shopped at Net-à-Porter: Royal Oak 37mm 18-karat frosted rose gold watch by Audemars Piguet

Personally speaking, I love being an EIP at Net-à-Porter. The personal shopping department is divine and the events I have been invited to were always superb. I bought two watches for myself and I am super happy with the service provided by my favorite online retailer.
