CHANEL Première Electro Watch

In April this year, I introduced you to CHANEL‘s amazing watch capsule collection CHANEL ELECTRO, with graphic codes borrowed from Electro culture.

In the 1990s, this music genre offered a radically original reflection of the night-time world and ambience within which it developed. Electronic music moved beyond the bounds of music to generate an authentic aesthetic culture. Performance became all-encompassing, a sensory, graphic experience that transcended sound. Inseparable from the venues where it evolved, Electro culture developed into a fully fledged artistic genre. At the heart of this narrative lies the confrontation between black and white and color. Color lights up white. Deep black intensifies color.

Needless to say, I couldn’t resist and am so happy about this new addition in my watch closet: PREMIÈRE ELECTRO watch that is a limited edition of only 555 pieces.

Steel case with black ADLC treatment. Steel caseback. Steel crown with onyx cabochon. Black-lacquered dial with neon pink CHANEL logo. Triple row steel chain bracelet with black ADLC treatment interwoven with neon rainbow leather strap. High precision quartz movement. Water-resistance: 30 meters. Functions: hours, minutes. Dimensions: 23.6 x 15.8 x 6.2 mm.

The watch bracelet comes in different sizes. I am wearing an XS.

And there is more. The Première introduces its Electro edition with 7 Watchmaking creations displayed in a presentation box.

PREMIÈRE ELECTRO BOX
PREMIÈRE ELECTRO BOX presents a graphic polyptych of 7 watches arranged to create an
ultra-vivid color field. An intense contrast between the depth of the black and the neon colors
of the leather straps that encircle the wrist. An ode to color and a promise of an easy, relaxed
look for every day of the week.

My Look: Tulle

Fashion can make us dream. Some looks invite us to indulge in a fairytale, among them tulle gowns that are absolutely trending this season. This was the outfit that I wore to the Acqua di Parma event lately.

My look: Embroidered cardigan (Look 46 Pre-collection S/S 2021) and Première Electro watch, both by CHANEL, raspberry ruffled tulle dressicon by Dior, Marble Silk Constance bag by Hermès, Jenlove 100 suede pumpsicon by Christian LouboutinDiorette ring and earrings, both by Dior Haute Joaillerie.

My Look: Cheesy

I know I got your attention at «cheesy». Fashion should be fun and not be taken too seriously! This yellow Prada sweater got the internet talking and let’s be frank, it resembles Swiss cheese that is known for its distinctive appearance with several holes. However, I find it very fashion-forward and extremely cool especially when worn together with the matching black open-knit sweater. Being proudly Swiss, I love cheese and I adore this Prada look so much. It was actually my favorite from the S/S 2021 collection and it is also very «Pantone Color of the Year 2021». With Central European weather going crazy at the moment, it is the perfect outfit at the moment.

In case your wondering about the placement of the bow brooch… one hole is placed a little unfortunate revealing a little too much in movement.

My look: Distressed logo-intarsia sweater in yellowicon, distressed open-weave wool sweater in black, belted pleated mohair-blend skirticontwo-tone slingback pumps, and Re-Nylon scrunchie, all by PradaConstance 24 in Evercolor Lime with palladium hardware by Hermès, satin bow brooch by CHANEL, rose diamond ring by PiagetCarrera Automatic Chronograph by TAG HeuerCameo embellished earrings, and faux pearl and crystal barrette, both by Simone Rocha.

Your AirPods Get a Stylish Upgrade

You think that being fashionable means having headphones with no wires attached is enough. Then you are mistaken. And if you’re still using the standard Apple case for your earbuds, you’re living your life wrong.

CHANEL offers new solutions that every fashionista will be dying to own as their tech accessories double as luxurious neckpieces.

CHANEL AirPods pearl necklace

First of all, let me introduce you to the AirPods necklace which is not only stylish, but also extremely practical. Coming in different versions, from a pearl choker to a sautoir style reminiscent of glasses holders, it allows you to slot your buds directly into the special clasps.

CHANEL sautoir AirPods necklace

Good news is that also looks great worn without the buds. A great investment piece for many years to come, no matter if Apple changes the size of the AirPods again.

CHANEL pearl necklace with chain and AirPods case

The French Maison has also made a number of AirPod case accessories – including a chain belt and necklaces worn around cross body – that will take your outfit to the next level. Needless to say, I couldn’t resist…

My Look: CHANEL Factory 5

This week, I stepped inside and experienced the cute little CHANEL Factory 5 pop-up shop at Jelmoli in Zurich. Mixing the black and white identity of N°5 and the bright colors of pop culture offered the perfect background to discover the new limited-edition products and to shoot this fun S/S 2021 CHANEL look. No doubt… leggings are back!

CHANEL Factory 5

In 1921, Gabrielle Chanel smashed the codes of perfumery with the creation of CHANEL N°5. She introduced an olfactory revolution – with a radical, sleek laboratory bottle and a lucky number – into women’s daily lives.

A century later, N°5 is the most famous fragrance in the world.

To celebrate this very special year, CHANEL has created the Factory 5 collection: limited editions inspired by quotidian objects as a reminder that N°5 transforms everyday life.

«By taking popular consumer items out of their context and dressing them up in the aesthetics of N°5, we return to CHANEL’s first creative gesture: that of transforming a functional object into a desirable luxury item. That’s what CHANEL FACTORY 5 is all about: offering the experience of luxury in everyday life.»

This month, CHANEL deploys this industrial scenography across the world’s largest cities. These pop-ups, imagined as theme parks dedicated to N°5, immerse people in a world which mixes the black and white identity of N°5 and the bright colors of pop culture. The experience is intended to be entertaining and offers a journey around the 17 products in this limited edition collection.

In a factory setting, the public follows the product through the various production line workstations and ends its journey with a visit to the factory store where they can watch playful, offbeat demonstrations. In Zurich, you can explore it at Jelmoli until July 18, 2021.

Other pop-ups in Switzerland are:
Boutique CHANEL PARFUMS & BEAUTÉ in Geneva from now until August 15, 2021

My Look: Take Care of Your Mind

«Take care of your mind, your body will thank you.
Take care of your body, your mind will thank you.

A sentence that is very true. Taking time for yourself is so important. Spending a night or a weekend in a beautiful hotel room by myself is pure luxury for me. Putting on a comfy look, enjoying a bath, reading without any distraction recharges my batteries immediately. Here you see me in my room at the La Reserve Eden au Lac, sporting my new Hermès Kelly Danse in different ways. Happy, relaxed and fully energized for many projects coming up this month.

My Look: Greenpeace

Stella McCartney supports Greenpeace‘s campaign to stop Amazon deforestation. The T-shirt as well as the sweater are both part of this collaboration with the iconic non-profit organization that aims to raise awareness of climate change. They have been made in Italy from soft organic cotton-jersey that’s tie-dyed and patterned with a vibrant rainforest print. With no toxic chemicals, this sustainable cotton uses up to 70% less water than conventional cotton. The same goes for the pants that have been made from sustainable viscose that stands for no deforestation.

My look: Greenpeace printed organic cotton-jersey sweatshirt, Greenpeace printed tie-dyed organic cotton-jersey T-shirticon, and Julia elasticated-cuff cady trousersicon, all by Stella McCartney, Relax shearling flip flops by Aquazzura, Neughman pilot sunglasses by Tom Ford, logo hair clip by CHANEL, diamond earrings by Cartier, and Carrera Automatic Chronograph by TAG Heuer.
