«Sometimes you gotta kiss a frog to find a prince» and if you do, please do it in style. Nicky Zimmermann says if she wasn’t a designer, she’d be a florist, which explains all the beautiful botanical patterns in her collections that I adore so much. Made from breathable linen it is the perfect choice for not having an attack of sweating when Mr. Right is standing in front of you.
My look: Verity cropped grosgrain-trimmed floral-print linen top and matching Verity cropped grosgrain-trimmed floral-print linen flared pants, both Zimmermann, embellished PU pumps by Stella McCartney, stingray clutch by Alaïa, choker with evil eye symbol and long pearl necklace, both by Chanel, embellished square butterfly sunglasses by Celine, gold-plated Swarovski crystal clip earrings by Dolce & Gabbana, diamond bracelet by Vainard Fine Jewellery, rose diamond ring by Piaget, Tonda 1950 clarity watch by Parmigiani Fleurier.

Last month, when I visited Milan with my daughter, I took her to the Teatro alla Scala, the famous opera house in Milan, which is regarded as one of the leading theatres in the world. Most of Italy’s greatest operatic artists, and many of the finest singers from around the world, have appeared at La Scala. We enjoyed the German opera «Der Freischütz» by Carl Maria von Weber. Being considered the first important German Romantic opera, especially in its national identity and stark emotionality, it was a true pleasure to see it in our mother tongue surrounded by the stunning ambiance of La Scala.
My look: Ruffle-trimmed single-breasted wool coat, ruffle bow dress, embellished leather pumps, and Sylvie mini buckle leather shoulder bag, all by Gucci. Choker with evil eye symbol by Chanel, diamond rose ring and Limelight Gala watch, both by Piaget.
My scent: Gucci Bloom Eau de Parfum, which is the first fragrance developed wholly under Alessandro Michele’s creative vision and blended by master perfumer Alberto Morillas. The beautiful powdery floral scent features tuberose and jasmine combined with rangoon creeper, also called Chinese honeysuckle, which is a unique flower discovered in South India that is being used for the first time in perfumery to create a rich fragrance that transports its wearer to an imaginary garden.

A big thank you to my daughter for taking them!
Dolce & Gabbana‘s new Ortensia Collection for Pre-fall 2017 evokes an English garden in Sicily, with hydrangea petals in varying colors that come to life on beautiful dresses and accessories. I have fallen in love with the print immediately.
Looking for the perfect background to photograph this look, I came across the Meggenhorn Castle near Lucerne. Built in 1868/70, it is surrounded by vine yards and has Switzerland’s largest hydrangea collection that is open to the public throughout the entire year. It is a Swiss heritage site of national significance and absolutely worth the visit. Also a great spot to get married.
My look: Hydrangea-print sleeveless cotton-poplin dress and floral sunglasses, both by Dolce & Gabbana, emerald green satin mules and Shopper Bistrot Panier S straw tote, both by Balenciaga and choker with evil eye symbol by Chanel.

Sometimes you need to distance yourself to see things clearly. When you go on an important date, I always recommend to try your outfit beforehand and then consult your pillow. The next morning, you will know if you feel secure about it or not. What you wear could discern how confident you feel about yourself. Don’t underestimate the power of an outfit! For this look, I decided last minute to add the denim shirt which gave the floral dress an unexpected twist.
My look: Midnight blue long military-style coat by Gucci, Lucy printed dress by Erdem, stretch-denim shirt by Balmain, Songe pumps in cracked leather by Dior, choker with evil eye symbol by Chanel, star embellished faux-leather Boston bag by Stella McCartney and «Diorette» ring by Dior Haute Joaillerie.
