Two Different Colored Shoes Day

Today, on May 3rd, we celebrate Two Different Colored Shoes Day. Probably you have never heard of that special day before that is set to recognize and celebrate the uniqueness and diversity of humanity. Where the simple and lighthearted act of purposely wearing two different colored shoes demonstrates the courage to «take a risk» and step outside of ones daily routine.

A daring combination: 105 crystal-embellished metallic leather sandals by Gianvito Rossi andicon Moon 105 crystal-embellished leather sandals by Aquazzura.

The easiest way to do it is to combine two shoes that have the same height and a similar structure. If you are one of those people, who likes to buy your favorite pair of shoes in different colors, you will have a blast mixing your footwear.

A safe way to celebrate Two Different Colored Shoes Day is to mix neutral shades and the same shoe model as those Kate 100 leather pumps by Christian Louboutin.

The day was created by Dr. Arlene Kaiser, an educator and public speaker, who has a profound love for diversity and has always been encouraging people to be who they are and not to concern themselves with being what society tells them they should be.

I wear today Jodie suede platform sandals in black and  Jodie rose-embellished white leather platform sandalsicon, both by Saint Laurent.

Remember that Two Different Colored Shoes Day is about celebrating your individuality, so wear whatever you love, and enjoy your own fashionable creativity. The world can use a little more color, and there’s nothing wrong with everyone being as diverse and as different as they are.

My Look: Just Smile

Just smile – Easter weekend is calling and the sun is out. Blue jeans and a white tee are always a good idea and I love them in combination with my favorite spring cardigan, for which Stella McCartney asked artist and friend Jeff Koons to create the artwork for «K is for Kindness» in her #StellaAtoZ series, and the message is spread loud and clear on the back of this cardigan. The perfect remedy for gloomy days and a must-have for for eternal optimists, it’s knitted with cheerful intarsia of a natural landscape reminding you to smile.

My look: Kind intarsia wool and cotton-blend cardigan by Stella McCartney, white cotton cropped top (Look 44 Pre-collection Summer 2021), and AirPods Pro case in white, both by CHANEL, high rise straight jeans with embellishments by Dolce & Gabbana, iPhone cover in blue ostrich leather by The Collector, and Lady Bug 100 patent leather pumpsicon by Christian Louboutin.

My Look: Game On

If Paris Fashion Week had happened, this would have been my outfit for the Louis Vuitton F/W 2021 show, pieces from the beautiful Game On capsule collection. Unfortunately, this was not possible, so I sported it for a photo shoot inside my favorite night club in the world, the GreenGo at Gstaad Palace. I cannot wait for everything to be back to normal again…

My look: Graphic two-tone shoulder cape, vibrant Game On A-line mini wrap skirt, Monogram lavaliere silk blouseSpeedy Bandoulière 30 bag, and luggage tag, all by Louis Vuitton (all from the Game On collection), hoop-drop clip earrings by Saint LaurentEloise 100 suede knee bootsicon by Christian Louboutin, and Panthère de Cartier Manchette 22mm 18-karat rose gold and diamond watchicon by Cartier.

My Look: Roman Studs

I am obsessed with Pierpaolo Piccioli‘s take on the iconic Valentino Rockstuds for S/S 2021. He is making them bigger and better than ever, as the Rockstud take on gargantuan proportions. So-called Roman studs, Roman architecture inspired this iconic motif able to manifest the Maison’s bourgeois and punk essences. Here I combined my new bag with a beautiful cape dress and long gloves. This is one of my favorite looks of the season. For another outfit inspiration with the bag, click here please.

My look: Cape-effect belted double-breasted houndstooth wool mini dress by Michael Kors Collection, Eloise 100 suede knee boots iconby Christian Louboutin, hoop-drop clip earrings by Saint Laurentembellished leather glovesicon, and Roman Stud quilted leather shoulder bag, both by Valentino.

My Look: Must-Have

Meet my newest must-have, the dream of every fashion lover’s wardrobe: the beautiful Hermès Birkin bag in shiny Rose Schéhérazade Porosus Crocodile leather. I went for size 25. Collectors like me are in thrall to the extraordinary craftsmanship behind the creation of the ultimate Hermès bag. It is a wearable work of art, a striking blend of breathtaking design with the most luxurious materials. During my stay at the Baur au Lac in Zurich, I combined it with a beautiful checked suit by Ralph & Russo. The brand is using for every ready-to-wear item made the same exquisite craftsmanship, modern artistry and detail as its couture pieces.

My look: Double-breasted checked wool-drill blazericon and matching cropped checked wool-drill wide-leg pants, both by Ralph & Russo, pussy-bow silk-chiffon blouseicon, and gold-tone, enamel and faux pearl clip earrings, both by Saint Laurenticon, embellished satin and mesh-trimmed parasisal straw fedoraicon by Philip Treacy, shiny Rose Schéhérazade Porosus Crocodile 25 Birkin bag by Hermès, and Rabakate 100 bow-embellished suede pumpsicon by Christian Louboutin.

My Look: Gym

What I truly love about staying at the Gstaad Palace Hotel during lockdown is that I can use the gym every day. Here you see me working out in my new Burberry sportswear which is functional and stylish in one. By the way, I shot all the photos again by myself with my iPhone and the timer function. Don’t you think that I am getting better from day to day… ?!

My look: Printed merino wool-blend cardiganicon, paneled printed stretch sports braicon, and paneled printed stretch leggingsicon, all by Burberry, 123 Run spiked leopard-print neoprene, leather, satin and grosgrain sneakersicon by Christian Louboutin, and Royal Oak 37mm 18-karat frosted rose gold watch by Audemars Piguet.

My Look: Still Under Construction

Quick stop in Zurich to check on the construction of our new house. As you can see, there is still so much to do. It is a fun project and I am enjoying the whole process. It is similar to my Mondrian-inspired clutch, it’s like a puzzle that comes together piece by piece. My Dior jumpsuit is also such a great and versatile item that you can dress up or down depending on the occasion.

My look: Black mink vest, black jumpsuit, D-cameo choker, and Arty cap with veil, all by Dior, Mondrian embroidered appliquéd canvas clutch by Olympia Le-Tan, and Circus Nana 100 lace-up leopard-print calf hair platform ankle boots by Christian Louboutin.

My Look: Happy Birthday Girl

Thank you everyone for all of the birthday wishes. Knowing that I have friends who appreciate and love me, it’s the best feeling. I truly got spoiled last weekend and everyone in my inner circle knows how much I love having birthday. So many beautiful surprises and gifts have become a keepsake that will forever remind me of happy times.

I am very proud of myself once more. I took all of those photos by myself and hope that you will enjoy my outfit. The dress was a present from a dear friend who obviously knows me very well.

My look: Velvet-trimmed checked wool-blend midi dressicon by Alessandra Rich, Vero Dodat leather and PVC clutchicon, and Kate 100 suede pumpsicon by Christian Louboutin, and pearl and tulle necklace by Lanvin.

My Look: Creative Vibes

Today some creative vibes from my side. The toughest part of my outfit posts is getting the photos done. My daughter used to do them for me, but since she moved to Boston, I lost my photographer. Being dependent on others is something I hate. Therefore I decided I will start taking them myself, and here is my first try. It is quite time-consuming, putting on the timer, running into position and hoping for the best. However, I think you still get a good impression of today’s look. Light blue and nude blend in perfectly with the landscaping in Gstaad and Valentino’s new Roman Studs are just beautiful. Wouldn’t you agree?

My look: Crystal-embellished belted wool and silk-blend crepe mini dress, and Roman Stud quilted leather shoulder bag, both by Valentino, Iriza 100 patent-leather pumpsicon by Christian Louboutin, and Rosamund silk-faille headband by Jennifer Behr.

My Look: New Year

I celebrated New Year’s Eve in grand style at the beautiful Gstaad Place hotel with friends. Towering over the village of Gstaad, the address offers breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding Swiss Alps, and always the best parties with unique service. Even if we weren’t allowed to dance, the celebration was great and we still managed to move on our seats.

I wore this beautiful black Monique Lhuillier gown inspired by classic ’50s couture. It has a guipure lace bodice trimmed with a waist-cinching satin sash and a frothy tulle skirt that’s discreetly padded to create all that volume.

My Look: Satin-trimmed guipure lace and tulle gownicon by Monique Lhuillier, zodiac embroidered appliquéd canvas clutchicon by Olympia Le-Tan, Kate 100 suede pumpsicon by Christian Louboutin, crystal-embellished snake necklace, and silver-tone crystal clip earringsicon, both by Alessandra Rich, bracelets and Panthère de Cartier Manchette 22mm 18-karat rose gold and diamond watchicon, all by Cartier.
