Based in Miami, Del Toro was founded in 2005 by Italian-born Matthew Chevallard, and originally sought to fill a void in the marketplace for affordable customized slippers.

It didn’t take long for the brand to become successful and so the collection evolved to include new styles such as sneakers, drivers, and espadrilles among others. Handmade in Italy, my favorite choices are those amazing S/S 2014 flats that tell a whimsical story with every step.

Ladies, store your ballet flats! If you haven’t focused on the day-slipper trend, you really should embrace it. They are on the shopping list of every fashionista and a hot fixture on the fall high street. For fall, Miu Miu‘s velvet embroidered slippers are my season’s favourites, so chic!
