This summer I have been going bold. More specifically, I have been reaching for the brightest and the most eye-catching stripes I could find. The glamour and thrill of retro moment feels right again this season: let stripes meet their match with transparent pieces and punk details, and feel instantly more trendy. Moreover, nothing transcends seasons – or decades – more seamlessly than stripes.

«Dino Cool» – the hype and success of Jurassic World hit the catwalk. Combined with one of the oldest dyeing techniques (with first traces found in ancient Egypt) that was popular in the 70’s, tie dye, it creates a cool look. The cherry on the cake is Marc Jacobs‘ eye-catching take on the American Flag. Perfect for me as I am leaving to New York today… stay tuned.

This season, individuality plays an important role in fashion. Unfortunately, David Bowie has died but his inspirational looks will stay alive forever. Being a sartorial chameleon, he used clothing to create a wide variety of different personas. Instead of adhering to conventions, he pushed boundaries and trail-blazed trends that influenced fans, runways and celebrities.
