Sunday afternoon, Thakoon Panichgul showed his S/S 2014 collection, which was soft, delicate and very feminine. A lot of all in white looks, something that I have spotted quite often during the last days at New York Fashion Week.
I have especially adored the long pearl chains on Thakoon’s bags, created in collaboration with the Japanese jewelry company Tasaki, with whom Panichgul has a long-running partnership. Before the show started, I was able to explore the collection backstage. Funnily enough, I arrived with Anna Wintour at the same time.
It was great to see Thakoon again whom I had met for the first time in London at the Net-à-porter headquarters two years ago (For the previous post, please click here).
Lead Artist Diane Kendal for NARS Cosmetics created a look that was ”all about a beautiful fresh look for spring.” A little bit of spot concealing, she worked mainly with the new three matte multiples that will be newly launched for Spring 2014. So beauty addicts, it is time to get excited!

Nina Ricci reinvents house classics and offers looks with a resolutely pop allure.
I am in love with the pre-fall 2103 collection, for which the French Maison once again reconciles dressing and desire.
This savy new line offers an ideal wardrobe of basics composed of “must-haves” such as little dresses, knits, blouses and jackets that bear the house’s hallmark codes. Ideal for day, this collection called “Les Envies” also interprets Nina Ricci’s signature colors and materials. The result is a subtle palette that blends sorbets with shots of colours and ultra-feminine materials such as tweed and stretch lace.
By turning basics unto desirable and timeless pieces, Nina Ricci lets women convey a modern, urban style that dovetails with their flair for innoncent provocation.
This collection will be available in stores this month. The first pieces have already arrived online at NET-A-PORTER, SAKS FIFTH AVENUE and MYTHERESA.
In Zurich exclusively available at Modestrom.

Here is Bottega Veneta‘s S/S 2013 ad campaign shot by Peter Lindbergh on location at Universal Studios in Los Angeles in October 2012. The internationally renowned German photographer and filmmaker has been a hugely influential figure in fashion photography since he first began working for Italian Vogue in the late 1970’s. Known for his narrative sensibility, he has a direct, minimalist approach that captures the individuality of the subject. His images, often in black-and-white, are instantly recognizable for their spontaneity and intimacy.
Bottega Veneta‘s S/S 2013 collection centers on a subtle and complex individuality. A palette of dusty, saturated shades of peach, yellow, blue, red, gray, and plaster is anchored in black and brown. Those butterfly embellished accessories are absolutely on my wish list for summer.
The mood is both tough and sweet, starting with unexpected mixes of materials and prints, mostly florals, and surface embellishments of exceptional quality and varied provenance.
What a beautiful collection inspired by the `40s, Tomas Maier is back in the fore!

It might not be for everyone, but if you like Versace, you are going to fall in love with this S/S 2012 collection. It was truly sexy. Short mini dresses and hot pants were all over the runway. If you were looking for pants, no chance! Pastel colours gave a very feminine approach and even made the studded materials look soft. Of course, there was leather and lots of beautiful embellished evening gowns. The final look resumed the beginning having a sparkling coral on the belly. And with the help of the Neptune-like prints showing sea shells and corals, Donatella has whetted our appetite for the next summer already.

This evening I went to see the Prada S/S 2012 show which was truly amazing!
Miuccia Prada always surprises us. This time, she came up with a road-style runway that had pink oil spills and foam cars as decoration (and seats!). A lovely fifties vibe with car prints, amazing floral prints and lots of beautiful colours. A very feminine collection. I am completely taken by the beautiful dresses and pleated fabrics. The leather pencil skirts were also divine. But the most insane part were the shoes with heels on fire…more to come.
Enjoy!
