Sporting this Dolce & Gabbana top on a  snowy day in the mountains, I felt like Little Red Riding Hood in a Gstaad Fairytale. Called “Once upon a time… in Sicily” designers Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana created a whimsical F/W 2014 collection with a very fashionable flair. Who doesn’t like to feel like a fairy once in a while?

My look: Black mink coat by Prada, appliquéd tweed top by Dolce & Gabbana (mine is the runway version with the red fur hood), ribbed cashmere turtleneck by Gucci, leather and jersey leggings by Givenchy, Tribale small fringed python shoulder bag by Lanvin (40% off), fur boots by Prada Sport, Limelight Gala watch by Piaget and diamond ring by Vainard Fine Jewellery.

Last Friday, my friend’s extremely fun birthday party took place in Zurich. The invite said: Oh Deer! Just another birthday… and the theme was «Alpine Chic». As I was already thanks to the Chanel Métiers d’Art show in Salzburg (detailed post coming up soon) in a mountain style mood, I went for this outfit.

My look: Fair isle belted cardigan (F/W 2010) and  bustier (F/W 2002) both by D&G Dolce & Gabbana, leather and jersey leggings by Givenchy, fur boots by Roberto Cavalli, Hapi leather bracelet by Hermès, necklace with pocket watch and earrings, both by Dolce & Gabbana, Lady Excalibur watch in rose gold with diamonds by Roger Dubuis and diamond ring by Vainard Fine Jewellery.

Last night, I got back from Gstaad where I attended the Asmallworld Winter Weekend. Those photos were taken before I left the charming Swiss mountain town that was bathed in warm sunshine yesterday.

My look: Roses print boiled wool-blend biker jacket and matching shorts, both by Givenchy, fine-knit wool turtleneck sweater by Lanvin, Audrey wayfarer sunglasses by Céline, Boy bag with chains by Chanel and fur boots by Prada Sport.

The Dior event in Paris last week was truly amazing. The Dior team spoilt me constantly during my stay with wonderful birthday surprises. How creative they are was clear when we went for dinner Thursday night. Held at the ice rink of the Plaza Athénée which is located at the inner courtyard of the famous Parisian hotel, we were welcomed by a Swiss chalet atmosphere and a cute Saint Bernard dog.

As I have done many dinners on the ice in St. Moritz before, I knew exactly what to wear in order not to get cold.
My look: Mink coat by Prada, fur boots by Prada Sport, scarf, bag and bracelet, all by Anselm Reyle for Dior, Diorette ring by Dior Haute Joaillerie and fur hat by Marc Jacobs.

Raclette prepared by three Michelin star chef Alain Ducasse was a big surprise. Who would have expected having a Swiss traditional dish in Paris?! Very funny, the two Swiss ladies, Manuela and my humble self, were shoveling the yummy cheese in our mouth, whereas most of the other bloggers were a little overwhelmed by the heavy food.

Manuela Pastore (Dior Switzerland) explained enthusiastically how to eat raclette.

Some of the most memorable looks on the runways for F/W 2010 impressed with the comeback of the season: Fur in all variations. From Karl Lagerfeld`s take on the full faux fur polar bear look to Versace`s colourful interpretations to shearling lamb footwear.

The emphasis was one the most luxurious finishing details you can imagine. The designers were using more fur than ever. I am wondering why PETA was so absent during the fashion weeks. They could have totally made an example.

Herewith you will find a gallery of the most desirable shoes and bags for the upcoming season. I am crazy for Chanel `s Nanook of the North fake fur boots with the icicle heels and the matching chain strap bag. Totally stylish are also the fur-trimmed boots like the ones by Hermès or YSL.

Another must-have for winter is a thick fur-covered tote, for example by Dolce & Gabbana or Christian Dior to name a few.

Love it or hate it, fur is one of the biggest trends.
