According to the F/W 2019 runways, camouflage is back and more versatile than ever. But why is camo a thing again now? It might have to do with its utilitarian roots and a second-coming of ‘80s and ‘90s style inspiration. Camo, by definition, is a form of armor. Its purpose is to hide and conceal. Blending in the landscape, I also love my new Jimmy Choo boots and bag, that both feature the new exquisite JC logo hardware detailing.
My look: Camouflage-intarsia wool cardigan and matching camouflage-intarsia wool shorts, embellished rabbit-felt cap, and glitter sunglasses, all by Miu Miu, bee fil coupé shirt by Gucci, Varenne leather tote and Mahesa 100 embellished leather knee boots, both by Jimmy Choo, pearl earrings and logo pearl brooch, both by Chanel.

Yesterday, I was invited to a friend’s house for a lovely Sunday brunch. The weather was so beautiful and summery. Nevertheless, I just couldn’t help myself and had to wear some of my new pre-fall 2012 pieces. Gucci’s autumnal floral print is such a perfect transition into fall.
My look: Printed silk blouse, stretch-leather leggings and Soft Stirrup bag, all three by Gucci, coral shape heels by Chanel, Lady Excalibur watch by Roger Dubuis, earrings by Dolce & Gabbana and glitter sunglasses by Miu Miu.

From Chicago I flew to Denver where I didn’t stay very long as I had to drive all the way up to Wyoming and South Dakota. Knowing that I would be sitting quite a while, I decided to be dressed as simple and casual as possible.
My look: Printed-back velour hooded top and matching track pants, both by Juicy Couture, original seamless tank top by Sugarlips, brown Pandora bag by Givenchy, Pegase 55 cabin case by Louis Vuitton, cat eye glitter acetate and metal sunglasses by Miu Miu and brushed leather trainers by Maison Martin Margiela.
On my nails: Beach Cruiser (neon pink) by Orly.

Those seamless Sugarlips tops are available in many different colours and so comfy to wear.

I started my crazy road trip through the US in the city in which I had lived for 2 years: Beautiful CHICAGO. It always feels so great to be back, seeing your friends, wallowing in memories and going to your favourite restaurants (Gibsons, Le Colonial, NoMI at the Park Hyatt and RL Restaurant at the gigantic Ralph Lauren store). The weather was amazing and I enjoyed going for a stroll through downtown.
My look: Mint green collarless jacket (50% off on sale), floral printed dress (50% off on sale), both by Marni, leather and chain bracelet, “Lucky Clover” earrings and necklace, mint green ballet flats, sky-blue Marcie hobo bag, all by Chloé and glitter sunglasses by Miu Miu.
By the way, the crowds weren’t waiting for me. The presidential family had lunch at Gibsons at the same time we had. Enjoy some shots of this wonderful city.

During my stay in Maui, I watched many beautiful sunsets. The light is so amazing – colouring the sky in shades of yellow, orange, blue and purple. I captured some of those moments for you with my camera.
One of my favourite places on the island to have dinner and watch the sundown is the Italian restaurant Sarento’s On the Beach in Kihei, Maui. Great food, great service and great location.
My look: White ruffled dress by Tibi, coral shape heels by Chanel, glitter sunglasses by Miu Miu and necklace Pearl Drape with horse clasp by Gabriele Frantzen.
On my nails: Believe created with Cher by Deborah Lippmann
(a shimmering metallic gold beige).
Curls all natural!

This week, I drove up to Haleakalā National Park which is surrounding and including the crater. This massive vulcano forms more than 75% of the Hawaiian Island of Maui and its activity is in a non-eruptive phase. The temperature near the summit tends to vary and on my way up, I went through the clouds. On top of the vulcano, it was drizzling from time to time and quite cool but the nature is breathtaking.
As you see, I followed my own fashion advice and went for some Hawaiian prints. For the previous post on this trend, please click here.
My look on top of the vulcano: Hawaiian-print silk tunic dress (on sale) and Hawaiian-print silk tapered pants (on sale), both by Stella McCartney, cat eye glitter acetate and metal sunglasses and suede sandals, both by Miu Miu and small Marcie hobo bag in Skylight Blue by Chloé.
It looks like I landed on the moon, doesn’t it?! And what do you think of my natural curls?

As promised earlier, here is a detailed post about my look that I wore at Mount Rushmore National Memorial.
Cut out panel dress (on sale) and openwork parka, both from Givenchy’s Resort 2012 collection, lime green leather pumps by Prada, brown Pandora bag by Givenchy, brass eagle and cross earrings (on sale) by Emilio Pucci, wide cuff by Stella McCartney and cat eye glitter acetate and metal sunglasses by Miu Miu.
The cowboy hat is a souvenir from Wyoming.
Hope that you like it! Off to new adventures…

I have a love-hate relationship with those Miu Miu sunglasses. During Milan Fashion week, I was on a mission to get a pair of those glittering stunners. The new retro-glam frames featuring a perfect angular cat-eye shape were beautifully displayed in the Miu Miu shop but when I wanted to buy them, the store manager explained to me that they were only for display.
Excuse me?! So I decided to hate them! Impossible!
In the meantime, two pairs have magically made their way in my closet and I am absolutely in love with them. Thank you, Miu Miu for having mercy on me. Such a wonderful gift! And for my dear readers, they are available at Saks Fifth Avenue’s online store now.

Donatella Versace called Givenchy’s F/W 2011 collection an homage to Versace and she is definitely not mistaken with her statement. I truly love the panther and floral prints reminiscent of Gianni’s early patterns.
My look: Flower print sheath dress by Givenchy, stretch-jersey thigh boots with hoop detail by Givenchy, “Nightingale” bag with black panther print by Givenchy and glitter sunglasses by Miu Miu.
