My Look: Greece

«After rain there’s a rainbow, after a storm there’s calm, after the night, there’s a morning, and after an end, there’s a new beginning

When I was with my beloved Mary Katrantzou in Athens for her S/S 2020 show, I was reminded of this beautiful quote. The day of the event, we had a crazy storm followed by a rainbow, and then a beautiful calm afternoon and night. We shot the photos at my hotel, the Four Seasons Athens. that I can absolutely recommend.

For S/S 2017, Mary had looked back to her childhood visit to the ancient palace of Knossos, on Crete. I thought it is the perfect time to finally sport this dress with Minoan goddesses, Cretan murals and the silhouetted paintings on Greek vases and plates.

My look: Chariot print dressicon by Mary Katrantzouplatform leather pumps by Gucci, Vicky quilted patent leather wallet on a chainicon by Saint Laurent, silver-plated, Swarovski crystal and faux pearl clip earringsicon by Miu Miu, and crystal aviator sunglasses by Chanel.

My last weeks were quite «stormy», but now I can feel the calm coming… so much to show you. Stay tuned!

LoL, Sandra

My Look: Top Secret in Delphi

My_Look_Rottweiler_Givenchy_tee

On Sunday, I flew to Athens, Greece. I was invited by Hermès to a secret location for the launch of an amazing new product. After a three hours ride by car, I arrived in Delphi, which was in Greek mythology the site of the famous Delphic oracle. Enough said, unfortunately I am not allowed to tell you more until February 2013. And believe me, this is hard for me, too.

In the meantime enjoy my look that I wore on the arrival day:
Oversized Rottweiler print tank top and wool gauze Rottweiler scarf, both by Givenchy (Please click here for the previous post when I told you all about this fashion hype), black long cardigan by Guccistretch cashmere-blend leggings iconby Donna Karan and brushed-leather biker boots iconby Miu Miu.

Stay tuned for more to come up soon…

LoL, Sandra

LV_Mykonos_010

To celebrate the return of summer, Louis Vuitton has opened its first pop-up store exclusively dedicated to its “summer resort” product range in Mykonos, Greece. I was invited to experience this very special new shop but couldn’t make it due to my trip to the US. It is so beautiful that I have to share it with you.
In a sleek and bright setting, a selection of leather goods, women’s and men’s ready-to-wear, and accessories are brought together in a range that has been especially designed to reflect the area’s warm and gentle weather and the flavour of summer holidays. It will be available to visitors until October 2012.

THE TIPPING POINT – How Little Things Can Make a Big Difference by Malcolm Gladwell
(The tipping point is that magic moment when an idea, trend, or social behavior crosses a threshold, tips, and spreads like wildfire. Just as a single sick person can start an epidemic of the flu, so too can a small but precisely targeted push cause a fashion trend, the popularity of a new product, or a drop in the crime rate. This widely acclaimed bestseller, in which Malcolm Gladwell explores and brilliantly illuminates the tipping point phenomenon, is already changing the way people throughout the world think about selling products and disseminating ideas.)

Three things you have to pack for Greece:
1. FLAT SHOES for the cobbled streets on the Greek islands.
