Last week’s gala episode of MY STYLE ROCKS was all about the 1980s. I love this era as it was all about bold, loud, and unapologetic fashion! Think big everything—from oversized shoulder pads to voluminous hair. Neon colors, metallics, and animal prints dominated wardrobes, while leg warmers and spandex became gym-to-street staples. Preppy looks with popped collars and designer logos contrasted with edgy punk styles, featuring ripped jeans and studded leather. Accessories were just as over-the-top, with chunky jewelry, gloves, and fanny packs stealing the spotlight. Whether inspired by Madonna, Michael Jackson, Dynasty or Wall Street’s power suits, the 80s were a decade where more was definitely more!
My look: Double-breasted wool-blend blazer with oversized shoulders, and matching green mini skirt, both by Balenciaga, black tulle gloves with GG motif by Gucci, Mitza ring by Dior Fine Jewellery, wide chain bracelet by CHANEL, ivory oyster enamel mother of pearl brooch by Burberry, hoop-drop clip earrings, classic Paris D’Orsay pumps with bow, metallic-trimmed leather clutch, black chiffon bow choker necklace, and wide-brimmed rabbit and cotton-blend felt fedora, all by Saint Laurent.

One episode of My Style Rocks Germany was about «color blocking,» when two or more colors are combined or stacked in blocks in mostly bright colour. I pushed the accelerator on the provocation with this bold color palette of orange, yellow and blue, featuring new pieces and vintage ones from my closet. Those vibrant hues combined stimulate energy and happiness.
My look: Orange silk jacket, blue silk shirt, and matching bag with leather tassels, all by Gucci (S/S 2011 Collection), yellow pants by Moschino, hoop-drop clip earrings by Saint Laurent, Aevitas Pointy satin platform pumps by Versace, and silk hair band by Prada (Resort 2019).

If Paris Fashion Week had happened, this would have been my outfit for the Louis Vuitton F/W 2021 show, pieces from the beautiful Game On capsule collection. Unfortunately, this was not possible, so I sported it for a photo shoot inside my favorite night club in the world, the GreenGo at Gstaad Palace. I cannot wait for everything to be back to normal again…
My look: Graphic two-tone shoulder cape, vibrant Game On A-line mini wrap skirt, Monogram lavaliere silk blouse, Speedy Bandoulière 30 bag, and luggage tag, all by Louis Vuitton (all from the Game On collection), hoop-drop clip earrings by Saint Laurent, Eloise 100 suede knee boots by Christian Louboutin, and Panthère de Cartier Manchette 22mm 18-karat rose gold and diamond watch by Cartier.

I am obsessed with Pierpaolo Piccioli‘s take on the iconic Valentino Rockstuds for S/S 2021. He is making them bigger and better than ever, as the Rockstud take on gargantuan proportions. So-called Roman studs, Roman architecture inspired this iconic motif able to manifest the Maison’s bourgeois and punk essences. Here I combined my new bag with a beautiful cape dress and long gloves. This is one of my favorite looks of the season. For another outfit inspiration with the bag, click here please.
My look: Cape-effect belted double-breasted houndstooth wool mini dress by Michael Kors Collection, Eloise 100 suede knee boots by Christian Louboutin, hoop-drop clip earrings by Saint Laurent, embellished leather gloves, and Roman Stud quilted leather shoulder bag, both by Valentino.
