Jimmy Choo x Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon 2

After its huge success in 2023, Jimmy Choo x Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon returns. The second instalment of this bold collaboration delves deeper into the story of the Sailor Guardians, bringing to life five more beloved characters from the iconic manga series. The capsule collection featuring footwear, bags and accessories draws on inspiration from the celebrated magical girls und is in stores now.

Personally speaking I am obsessed with the footwear. So many cool pieces.

My Look: Boat Love

Perfect match – wearing this beautiful vintage map print dress on a yacht cruising through the Mediterranean. I just love being on a boat, the air, the sea, the freedom gives me so much pleasure.

My Look: Bahrain

I started the New Year well with an amazing trip to Bahrain. Situated on the Persian Gulf between Qatar and the northeastern coast of Saudi Arabia, to which it is connected by the King Fahd Causeway, it comprises a small archipelago made up of 50 natural islands and an additional 33 artificial islands, centered on Bahrain Island which makes up around 83 per cent of the country’s landmass. The capital and largest city is Manama. Here I took these pictures while strolling around. I love the juxtaposition of modernity and tradition.

In terms of dress code, it is respectful to cover your shoulders and knees. I recommend wearing a scarf in case you want to visit a religious place.

My look: Broderie anglaise belted top, and matching broderie anglaise linen flared pants, both by Zimmermann23P light blue quilted caviar leather small classic double flap bag, and matching 23P caviar quilted mini chain belt bag, and sunglasses, all by CHANEL, Chevaloscope scarf 90 in rose/blue/multicolore by Hermès, and Dellena 100 leather wedge sandals by Jimmy Choo.

My Look: Hollywood On The Tiber

On my way back to my beloved GSTAAD PALACE, for a fun weekend with CHANEL and to celebrate my friend’s birthday. I have never shared these photos from last year’s ASMALLWORLD weekend that unfortunately doesn’t take place anymore.

The theme for Friday night was HOLLYWOOD ON THE TIBER, a term which encapsulates the splendor of nocturnal Rome between the end of the 1950s and early 1960s when the city was a true capital of cinema.  The dress code said all-out old Hollywood glamour and I went for a petticoat style.

My look: Pink layered tulle dress with floral embroidery, pink satin gloves and hoop petticoat underskirt, all by Moschino (Look 23, S/S 2021), Odette lace pumps in rose by Jimmy Choo, Devotion mini bag in silver by Dolce & Gabbana, head piece by Stephen Jones, necklace and earrings, both by Alessandra Rich.

Jimmy Choo x Jean Paul Gaultier

I am obsessed with the Jimmy Choo x Jean Paul Gaultier collaboration featuring global pop star Kylie Minogue in the campaign. Fusing two creative identities and being born from a shared vision of femininity, empowerment and confidence, the capsule collection is co-designed by Jimmy Choo’s creative director Sandra Choi and JPG’s creative director, Florence Tétier. It revisits archive pieces from the Parisian fashion house, adapting them to contemporary tastes.

«Fashion for me has always been about collaboration with like-minded creatives, and pure personal self-expression. Jean Paul Gaultier and Jimmy Choo have both been part of my fashion journey, and I’m thrilled to work with both of them to celebrate this exceptional collection,» says Kylie Minogue of the partnership. «It’s our collective histories fusing, to create something fresh and new,» she adds.

Acting as an evolution of the longstanding relationship between Kylie and both brands, the campaign follows a long line of made-to-measure Gaultier looks and custom Jimmy Choo shoes. The campaign sees Kylie showcasing the new footwear collection and transforming into a modern-day pin-up.

My favorite pair of the collection: The black leather wedge pumps show both the icons of the cities that are home to the brands, the Eiffeltower and Big Ben, in their plexiglass heels.

For Jimmy Choo, the collaboration follows its recent team-up with Sailor Moon creator Naoko Takeuchi and for JPG, the collection follows its recent release with the corset-loving London ready-to-wear label KNWLS, alongside news of its next guest designer: Simone Rocha.

My Look: Life Is Beautiful

Life is beautiful, especially in sunny California. Here you see me this week on iconic Rodeo Drive in front of the the sculpture «Life is Beautiful» by Mr. Brainwash. His real name is Thierry Guetta, and the French-born, Los Angeles-based artist rose to fame as a protégé of Banksy after appearing in his film Exit Through the Gift Shop.

My look: High Tide cropped embroidered tulle top, and matching High Tide tiered embroidered tulle maxi skirt, both by Zimmermann, Dellena 100 leather espadrille wedge sandals by Jimmy Choo, faux-pearl tassel earrings by Oscar de la Renta, medium Lady D-Lite Bag in burgundy multicolor Mizza embroidery, and matching Wildior Mitzah scarf in ivory and red silk twill, both by Dior.

My Look: Adorable

This summer has been treating me well so far. I had lots of magical encounters, discovered great places, and met a lot of amazing people. Grateful, adorable… happy.

My look: Scoop-neck crochet silk dressicon, cropped cutout wool tank top, and waffle-knit wool-blend shortsicon, all by Chloé, Chanel 22 mini bag in ecru and golden pearly shaded calfskin with gold-tone metal, pearl necklace, heart necklace and matching bracelet, all by CHANEL, faux-pearl tassel earrings by Oscar de la Renta, and Dellena 100 leather wedge sandals by Jimmy Choo.

My Look: Hot Party in the Snow

This was my outfit I wore to the Hot Party in the Snow at Carlton Hotel in St. Moritz. When it comes to eveningwear, I am a huge fan of La-based designer Monique Lhuillier. The daughter of a French diplomat always admired the lavish gowns her mother and other stylish guests would wear to high-profile events, moving her to create her eponymous label. I adore her intricately detailed and expertly crafted designs.

My look: Crystal-embellished tulle gownicon by Monique Lhuillier, Devotion mini bag in silver by Dolce & Gabbana, Odette lace pumps in rose by Jimmy Choofloral-clip earrings, floral-detail chain-link belt, and crystal-embellished choker necklace, all by Alessandra Rich.

Jimmy Choo x Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon

Jimmy Choo has unveiled a capsule collection in collaboration with Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon in celebration of the Japanese anime series 30th anniversary. The first Sailor Moon episode aired in 1991, followed by the adaptation Sailor Moon Crystal in 2014. Created by Naoko Takeuchi, the show has become a pop cultural phenomenon, stanned for its feminine magic, humor, and fashionable characters.

Sandra Choi, creative director of Jimmy Choo, has worked with Naoko Takeuchi, creator of Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon, on the collection that champions «bold individuality, zeitgeist-defining imagery and female empowerment». The Jimmy Choo x Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon collection aims to translate the anime series femininity and female power with a capsule range of footwear and accessories themed around the ‘Sailor Guardians’ characters, including Sailor Mercury, Sailor Mars, Sailor Jupiter, Sailor Venus, their mentor cat Luna and Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon herself.

The capsule collection includes for example knee-high boots, ankle boots, patent pumps, lace-up leather combat boots, and high-heeled platform pumps as homages to the shoes worn by the characters. Moreover, Sailor Moon’s most memorable moments are immortalized as manga drawings on bags and sneakers. Highlight of the collaboration is a pair of limited-edition boots encrusted with roughly 19,000 Swarovski crystals. The fuchsia-colored silhouette is complete with a moon motif at the top in addition to a 10-centimeter-tall heel, maintaining the original look of Jimmy Choo’s classic shoes.

Celebrating the team-up and the 30th anniversary of Sailor Moon, Jimmy Choo is putting one pair of these boots on display exclusively at Tokyo‘s Mori Art Museum in Roppongi.

The Jimmy Choo x Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon collection will be exclusively available in Europe at Selfridges from February 14. The launch will coincide with a dedicated pop-up in the department store’s ground-floor accessories hall, featuring «playful installations with the ultimate photo opportunity for Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon superfans.»

My Look: Meet Me Under The Mistletoe

«Why do cows wear bells? Because their horns don’t work.» Joking aside, there is a huge discussion going on in Switzerland. It is said that the classic cow bells worn by Swiss bovines could be damaging the animals’ hearing and feeding habits, according to researchers in Zurich.

So it might be much safer if fashionistas wear them instead. Call me a dopey cow. I love fashion with a sense of humor and nobody does it better than Jeremy Scott for Moschino. This costume actually makes quite some noise when you are wearing it. So you can meet me easily under the mistletoe.

My look: Tweed jacket with cow bells, and matching pencil skirt, silk shirt with cow print, cow print leather bag, and funny cow hoop earrings, all by Moschino (F/W 2021), Averly 100 bow-detailed satin pumps by Jimmy Choo.
