Some of the most memorable looks on the runways for F/W 2010 impressed with the comeback of the season: Fur in all variations. From Karl Lagerfeld`s take on the full faux fur polar bear look to Versace`s colourful interpretations to shearling lamb footwear.
The emphasis was one the most luxurious finishing details you can imagine. The designers were using more fur than ever. I am wondering why PETA was so absent during the fashion weeks. They could have totally made an example.
Herewith you will find a gallery of the most desirable shoes and bags for the upcoming season. I am crazy for Chanel `s Nanook of the North fake fur boots with the icicle heels and the matching chain strap bag. Totally stylish are also the fur-trimmed boots like the ones by Hermès or YSL.
Another must-have for winter is a thick fur-covered tote, for example by Dolce & Gabbana or Christian Dior to name a few.
Love it or hate it, fur is one of the biggest trends.

Summer is here, but fashionwise winter is knocking at the door. During the next weeks I will tell you all about the rising F/W 2010 trends. You will be up-to-date before the looks will be present in the fashion magazines. So enjoy the first one:
Spotted a lot on the runways once more were animal prints with leopard and ocelot up front! Add just one item to your wardrobe and your seasonal definition will be ensured. My absolute favourite is the stunning coat by Gucci, my must-have!
Among the accessories, the feline pattern appeared on shoes and bags all over. Just one piece of those will be enough to make a fierce statement! Let the prints do the talking and keep the rest minimal. A cheer for all copy-cats!

Mixing purple, yellow, red and green in one outfit, sounds probably quite shocking to you. But have a look for yourself, it makes a pretty awesome fashion statement.
Combining bold colours can look amazingly stylish and not at all clownesque. The key is to add an accessory that has all the colours of the look in it like the Alexander McQueen silk scull print scarf in this set.

As you already know, I am a big fan of Matthew Williamson. Last night I went out and wore one of my favourite pieces: The liquid sequin waistcoat. This time I combined it with a black and white graphic dress from his winter collection, very high Yves Saint Laurent pumps and my sparkling Mini Noé Rococo bag by Louis Vuitton (see above and to the right).
For my Swiss based readers I have some very good news: Bongénie Grieder is carrying Matthew Williamson now in Zurich and Geneva. I spotted the waistcoat in black there (see below). Wear it with a white shirt and a pair of sexy leather leggings that you might already have. “Eco-Chic” is one of the keywords for next summer and hay fever seems to be a new tropical flu. Natural materials some even with a rough character to them were major on the runways.
At Chanel, Karl Lagerfeld manifested the ecological trend by sending his models carrying whicker baskets on their arms down the haystack aisle. He along with many other designers used raffia, woven cords and other faux-rustic fabrics for a variety of unexpected creations.
Since many years, Dolce & Gabbana have made the raffia tote one of their signature pieces for summer. This time in combination with another key material: lace.
Nothing confirms the hot season is close at hand like a giant straw bag or floppy hat. Loved by the Hippies in the 70s, those pieces are companions of longwearing resilience.

There is no way men can resist that. This spring you have a versatile choice in great heights. One of my favourites are the stunning Alexander McQueen peep toes. The heart-shaped opening is so sexy. You will have to wait a little longer for these amazing High Heels from the runway collections. But it is worth it. I am completely obsessed with the playful and romantic versions by Victor and Rolf and by Miu Miu. These chunky Chanel platform pumps are a wonderful choice, too as they will make your legs look super-slim.

This week, award-winning actress Natalie Portman was annonced as new face of Christian Dior Parfums. Although no specific mention of any particular perfume has been made yet. It is her first time to collaborate with a cosmetics brand.
