My Look: Fashion Fairy

Today’s episode of MY STYLE ROCKS is about «fairytale characters».
For the show I styled this outfit with pieces of my closet and became a fashion fairy, ready to put my magic spell on our lovely candidates. I love creating theme inspired outfits with normal pieces instead of going to a costume shop.

My look: Faylinn dress by Mary Katrantzou (Look 23, F/W 2017 collection inspired by Walt Disney’s Fantasia), puffin resin clutch by JW AndersonKiki embellished suede platform knee-high boots by Marc Jacobs, and velvet cone princess hat with veil by CHANEL (Look 66, Métiers d’Art Pre-Fall 2021 ‘Le Château des Dames’).

A big thank you to the team on set, @metindemirhair and @saimesaime for the gorgeous clip-in bangs. Do you think I should cut my hair like this? I am pretty much tempted …

LoL, Sandra

My Look: The Cape-Sleeve Coat

A cape-sleeve coat is one of the most practical items you can have in your wardrobe as it always leaves enough space for your sleeves, especially when they are more voluptuous. This coat features powerful cape-like sleeves and a unique sculptural belted silhouette.

My look: Cape-sleeve belted Milano coat by Max Maraiconpaneled cotton-terry and jersey bi-color sweatshirt, and matching paneled cotton-terry and jersey track pants, pink chain-embellished leather slippers, all by JW Anderson, Playboy Lips appliqué canvas book clutch by Olympia Le Tan, shell chain necklace by Jacquemus, and Carrera Automatic Chronograph by TAG Heuer.

Trending F/W 2021: Cutout Sweaters

If you’re sorting through which trends are worth investing for winter, then don’t overlook this Instagram-worthy style: cutout sweaters. Preferably oversized, these minimal yet revealing details are a welcome departure from the tight and slinky cutouts of past, making them both stylishly unexpected and actually wearable.

Celebrities such as Kourtney Kardashian have been sporting the trend lately, which means cutout knits have staying power in your wardrobe well into the season, even when the weather takes a turn for the cold temperatures. Here are my favorites:

I went for Valentino and Area and cannot wait to show you how I wear them … stay tuned!

Trending: Rubber Boots

Contrary to popular belief, rubber boots can be fashionable and are ultra trending this F/W 2021 seasonWaterproof and stylish, these pairs of boots below are the ultimate investments to stay chic in the rain. Forget the traditional Wellington boots (named in honor of Arthur Wellesley, Duke of Wellington), and update your wardrobe with one or two of those stylish options.

Summer Bucket Hats

The bucket hat has perhaps had one of the biggest fashion glow-ups in the accessories market. Personally speaking, I love this relaxed style that has become a summer must-have for me, easy to pack and very lightweight, much easier than a big straw hat that hardly fits in your suitcase.

High-fashion brands, like Celine, Etro and Kate Spade took the bucket hat to the S/S 2021 runway, showing how trendy it is.

There’s no one way to wear a bucket hat anymore, as the style is as brilliant paired with a mesh beach cover-up as it is with a luxurious tropical print dress. Below you can find my favorites.

Trending: Tied-Cuff Pants

After Resort 2020‘s clever styling trick (see trouser tuck) that has seen sandals wrapped around your pants, designers are taking the trend up a notch this fall and present trousers in tapered shape with ties at the cuffs that offer the same stylish effect.
