This morning, Lancôme has announced the arrival of Lily Collins as its new brand ambassadress. A rising Hollywood star and daughter of famous musician Phil Collins, the beautiful actress divides her time between England, the country of her birth and the United States, where she currently lives. European and American, granddaughter of a ballerina, Lily was raised in a world that encouraged curiosity of mind, artistic pursuits and a thirst for discovery. She initially set her sights on journalism before making a dazzling debut in The Blind Side with Sandra Bullock and then in 2009 in Mirror Mirror, alongside Julia Roberts, another Lancôme face.

She will next be on screen in 2014 in Love, Rosie, a romantic comedy adapted from the novel Where Rainbows End by the Irish author Cecelia Ahern. A free-spirited, confident, sparkling and delicate beauty, Lily Collins – who bears a singular resemblance to the iconic Audrey Hepburn – will bring her talent and freshness to Lancôme as of January 2014, starting with the Spring make-up collection French Ballerine.

Right before I left for China, I attended several press conferences. This is something I truly love about my job, being able to try the newest products before anybody else. Of course, I took some of the items that interested me most on my trip.

After having used them for over four weeks, I can recommend those ones with a good conscience as they have convinced me of their quality and effectiveness.

Every day, I was so much looking forward to taking a shower before going to dinner and to spray myself with this amazing new scent. Especially after all those odors you smell during the day, it feels like heaven… I am sure that you know what I mean.

I have been a fan of the Elie Saab perfume line from its first launch. The scents of orange blossom and rose honey composed by perfumer Francis Kurkdjian are what makes me adore it so much. Every version of the perfume depicts a period of daylight, the original from 2011 is dedicated to the day, the lighter EdT version to the morning and now the new sensual intense fragrance is inspired by the magic moment of dusk.

In January, I told you for the first time about the amazing collaboration between Lancôme and Alber Elbaz, followed by a post in the beginning of May when I was able to show you the limited edition make-up collection that will hit the stores on June 15, 2013. Today, the Lancôme press office sent me this uber-cute video, that is SO FASHION WEEK! You have to watch it!

In the beginning of July, there will be the Hypnôse Show Party, one of the events of the year which will be held during Couture week in Paris with celebrities, socialites, trendsetters, top beauty and fashion editors. The “extravagant party” everybody wants to attend and I cannot! I am so bumped as I will be travelling for one month to China for work and pleasure. Of course, all the good things are always taking place at the same time… but I am also very excited for my time in Asia! And I hope that you are, too… as I will be keeping you posted from all the hot spots in Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong and many other places.

As I told you already in January, Lancôme and Lanvin‘s Creative Director Alber Elbaz have joined forces to create the limited edition collection HYPNÔSE SHOW. Here is your sneak preview at those beauty must-haves.

Sometimes we just need a little something to brighten up a morning beauty routine. Alber Elbaz gives eye makeup a touch of whimsy for Lancôme. This amazing collection that will hit the shelves with very limited quantities, comprises the four Lancôme’s best-selling mascaras with matching eye shadow palettes, all embellished with designs, such as blue stars, red hearts, pink polka dots, and green heavily lashed lids. There will also be one set of false lashes.

Be the first and one of the very few to get the limited-edition In Love clutch designed by Parisian fashion designer Olympia Le-Tan. Adored by the literary-loving fashion elite, her artisanal collection re-imagines classic book covers and transforms them into clutches and accessories, which are available at Net-à-Porter and LuisaViaRoma.

In collaboration with Lancôme, Le-Tan has created a minaudière clutch, embellished with the cover ‘Rouge in Love’, taken from the name of the lipstick and nail laquer collection it will house, and which celebrates its first birthday this month.

Inside the overly cute bag, you will find six nail polishes and lipsticks.
There will be only one hundred made and sold worldwide! Unfortunately such cuteness has its price, for $1500.- you can pre-order this fusion of fashion beauty must-have here.

A Small World hosted the pre-launch party of Zurich’s new hot spot Aura last Thursday.
The location is gorgeous, home to a bar and smoker’s lounge, a restaurant and a nightclub which can be booked for special events. The large room is surrounded by projectors that can be part of a presentation or show.

Getting ready at home, I put on some upbeat music that got me psyched for the night. Great for dancing, I chose a pretty short dress and comfortable boots. 
My look: Knit dress by Alexander McQueen, purple “punk”-style fur bag by Tom Ford, overknee boots by Gucci and cocktail ring by Roberto Cavalli.

With night in full swing and the lights low you can afford to get stronger with your makeup. I went for smokey eyes paired with dark bold lips. Here are all the products I used:
