Being the editor-in-chief of L’Officiel Switzerland has taken me on a wonderful journey that started with an amazing cover and fashion shoot in Paris. I am extremely proud of it and I would like to thank my wonderful dedicated team. Renowned photographer Marco Grob shot Swiss supermodel Patricia Schmid for our first issue. I did the styling and the three of us, being all aquarius, were a trio infernal! It is just a blessing to work with such highly professional people.

The first day, we photographed inside the gorgeous George V Hotel where my suite was transformed into a photo and hair & make-up studio.

The minute we started photographing this look, I knew this will be my cover!

The second day, we shot on location. Poor Patricia, it was freezing cold even though the sun was shining. But what could she do… cropped tops are a must this summer.

Fighting the cold with quick stops in the car…

… and a hot foot bath in the end of the day!

Last Thursday, the launch party for L’Officiel Switzerland took place in Zurich at Kaufleuten. With a stunning atmosphere, reminiscent of 1920s Paris, where it all began over 90 years ago, the fashionable crowd partied until late. L’Officiel is still family owned and I was thrilled to have Marie-José Susskind-Jalou and Benjamin Eymère with us at the launch party in Zurich. Mother and son, President and CEO of this legendary family business that started in 1921 and brings together the very best of French heritage in style, fashion and joie de vivre. On Thursday evening, we celebrated the launch of L’Officiel Switzerland. Finally, our first edition is at the kiosk. Personally speaking, I couldn’t have been more excited and of course I am wishing upon a star that it will be a success story. To make a dream come true, I thought wearing some stars might eventually help! Supposedly if you make a wish when you see the first star come out at night, the wish will come true. So better to wear many…

Our presenting sponsor, Aston Martin, offered me a car for the day and I loved it!

Today is a very special day for me. My baby is born. The first edition of L’Officiel Switzerland is hitting the shelves. Last night, we celebrated the launch with a wild party. The photos will be coming up shortly. I still need to recover from yesterday…

I am so happy with the outcome and hope that you will like it, too. On the cover is the gorgeous Patricia Schmid dressed in Chanel photographed by Marco Grob.

Here you can see us three during yesterday’s press conference at the Park Hyatt Zurich.

I was thrilled to welcome also the President of Les Editions Jalou Marie-José Susskind-Jalou, her son Benjamin Eymère, who is the CEO of the company, as well as Deputy CEO at L’Officiel Magazine Nicolas Reynaud who had flown in to celebrate the launch with us. Les Editions Jalou is a legendary French family business since 1921 and I am proud to be part of the family now.

As you already know, this year I am off to pastures new. I am so much looking forward to my new challenge as Editor-in-Chief of L’OFFICIEL SWITZERLAND, and to keeping Sandra’s Closet filled with interesting posts on a daily base.

Starting something new means mostly to leave something else behind. Therefore, you can read now in the recent SI Style magazine my last column that I dedicated to my job and the passion I still feel for it every day. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Sabina Hanselmann-Diethelm, Editor-in-Chief of SI Style magazine, and her team for this wonderful collaboration during the last three years. It was a true pleasure working with these amazing people and I hope that my team at L’OFFICIEL SWITZERLAND will be able to say this about me as well one day. The first edition will be at the newspaper kiosk on March 7, 2014.

Today, I have some very big personal news that I am very proud to share with you. I am appointed Editor-in-Chief of L’OFFICIEL SWITZERLAND, for both, the French and German editions of the publication. The magazine is launching in March 2014. And no worries, Sandra’s Closet will still exist, I will be wearing “two hats” so to say and will keep you posted with fashion and lifestyle news from all over the world.

Personally speaking, I am very much looking forward to my new challenge. L’OFFICIEL is at the top range of international fashion magazines and I am very excited to launch its Swiss edition with the local team. It will allow for an interesting balance between the precision and beauty of print and the speed of online fashion reporting through my blog.
