Finally, we can see the fruits of Maison Martin Margiela‘s amazing collaboration with H&M. Sam Taylor-Johnson shot the campaign (see above) and below you can enjoy photos of the recently revealed lookbook. The avant-garde Belgian fashion house is loved by all fashion connoisseurs. What do you think of it?
The collection will land in stores and online on Thursday, November 15, 2012.
And while you are reading this, I am in the plane on my way to New York City for the launch party of Maison Martin Margiela for H&M tomorrow night. Stay tuned for some amazing photos! I am getting heart palpitations from the excitement of just thinking of it!

From Chicago I flew to Denver where I didn’t stay very long as I had to drive all the way up to Wyoming and South Dakota. Knowing that I would be sitting quite a while, I decided to be dressed as simple and casual as possible.
My look: Printed-back velour hooded top and matching track pants, both by Juicy Couture, original seamless tank top by Sugarlips, brown Pandora bag by Givenchy, Pegase 55 cabin case by Louis Vuitton, cat eye glitter acetate and metal sunglasses by Miu Miu and brushed leather trainers by Maison Martin Margiela.
On my nails: Beach Cruiser (neon pink) by Orly.

Those seamless Sugarlips tops are available in many different colours and so comfy to wear.

Exciting news: Maison Martin Margiela is the next fashion house to collaborate with H&M.
The collection for both, men and women, will be available on November 15th, 2012 in 230 H&M shops worldwide as well as online.
“MAISON MARTIN MARGIELA is one of the most important and influential fashion houses of the past three decades. I am so excited by this collaboration which will give fashion lovers around the world the chance to wear special pieces by MAISON MARTIN MARGIELA. This collaboration will be a great and memorable fashion moment“, says Margareta van den Bosch, creative advisor at H&M.
“We are very happy to present MAISON MARTIN MARGIELA pieces with H&M, offering a new interpretation of our vision. The democracy of our fashion has always been at the centre of our creativity, and the collaboration with H&M allows us to push this instinct further. We will bring together the contrasting universes of the two houses in ways that will surprise all.” MAISON MARTIN MARGIELA
ABOUT MAISON MARTIN MARGIELA
MAISON MARTIN MARGIELA is a French fashion house which has always followed its own path, often outside the conventional fashion framework. The Maison believes in the absolute importance of the collaborative nature of its team rather than the individual, where its ideals are founded in the desire for concept and creativity. Constantly questioning the norms of fashion and presenting its pieces through the technique of deconstruction and transformation, the collections reinvent volumes, modify shapes, change the original use and movement of garments and derail classic notions of fashion.
The Paris-based label, whose elusive Belgian founder left the company in 2009, is loved by fashion insiders around the world for its avant-garde aesthetics. It might not reach the same level of anticipation as the collaboration with Versace did, but it will definitely be a successful and different combination!

I love the colour combination of ink blue and teal with grey. Those shades just belong together. The outfit above proves my theory perfectly:
The gorgeous grey dress by 3.1 Phillip Lim (€305.-) and ink-blue belted long-length blazer by Elizabeth & James (€430.-) look stunning combined with teal accessories like the velvet ankle boots by Maison Martin Margiela (£455.-) and the cross-body bag by See by Chloé (€305.-).
For daily glamour add a statement necklace like the crystal-embellished one by 3.1. Phillip Lim (€590.-) and a cool leather bracelet by Chan Luu (€175.-).
Indigo eyeshadow by Givenchy (one of my favourites) and the OPI “Ski teal we drop” nail polish will top off your outfit amazingly!
Feeling blue can be fun!

This winter sleeves will be the centre of attention as they are worn is so many different ways. Slashed versions, cape-like openings, little cut-out details, trompe l`oeil effects or zip up arms, the designers let their imagination run free.
Also spotted on the runways was the casual “gentleman-gave-me-his-coat” idea with outerwear just hanging over the shoulder (see below).
As strange as it sounds, the mutation and imitation sleeves are going to set the trend.
So roll up your sleeves and get to work but don`t sew your sides back up.

Easter marks the first appearance of spring colours and dresses for the stylish fashionistas. Even if there might me snow on the ground, the appetite for ruffles, florals and brights is big at this time of the year. Easter has this wonderful element of spring fever and romantic pastels belong to that festive day. Here is my suggestion for the perfect Easter Egg Hunt outfit: The pink beaded drape dress by Temperley London is so lovely in combination with the trendy strappy satin ankle boots by Burberry Prorsum, the reflector-embellished leather clutch by Maison Martin Margiela and the rose cocktail ring by Roberto Cavalli.
All the chocolate eggs will be yours as your stunning look will distract the others from focusing on the game. Happy Easter!
