On Wednesday, I had a busy afternoon. First I went to Marionnaud‘s press conference to explore the house’s newest beauty brand BE CREATIVE MAKEUP, followed by a fashion show with Montblanc for the 6th edition of MODE SUISSE inside Zurich’s Lichthof.
This week has been perfect, many amazing things have happened and I am extremely happy. That might have been the reason for the pink splash of color I added to this elegant outfit giving it a joyful and fresh upgrade. And as you see, I had quite some fun taking those pictures.
My Look: Elaphe-paneled wool sweater and snake-print silk-satin and chiffon skirt, both by Jason Wu, metallic snake-effect leather pumps and pink pussybow silk necktie, both by Saint Laurent, fringed tote by Lanvin and diamond ring by Vainard Fine Jewellery.
Lips: Kiss Kiss Shaping Cream Lip Colour in 361 Excessive Rose by Guerlain.
Nails: Le Vernis Nail Colour in 619 Pink Tonic by Chanel.

This summer, fashion designers all around the globe have been showing off their origami skills, crafting skirts that ripple with razor-sharp pleats. Best played out in shimmering metallics as seen at Proenza Schouler, cut to midi length, this style has felt the freshest to me. Don’t you think that the color combination of black, white, rose gold and purple is just a dream?!
My look: Foil-paneled pleated cloqué maxi skirt by Proenza Schouler, black cropped knitted sweater and Dance metallic ballet slippers, both by Saint Laurent, purple pashmina scarf by Christian Dior, bar cuff in rose gold by Balenciaga, nylon python print satchel with bows by Prada and Manuale thin 46mm rose gold plated watch by GaGà Milano.

Pleats are a must this season, spotted at the S/S 2014 runway shows of Haider Ackermann, Victoria Beckham, Proenza Schouler and Dries Van Noten. But how do you wear this trend without looking too conservative? Actually, it is very easy. Calf length skirts are the way to go. Preferably they come with some metallic details to add a little bling to your look.
