My Look: Never Stop Dreaming

Never stop dreaming! Never take any blessing for granted. Coming back from Milan Fashion Week, I was super grateful for all those amazing moments, encounters and experiences. Even after all these years being in the fashion industry and collecting fashion, I have never lost my spark for it. Here you see me at the Prada S/S 2025 re-see. Exploring all the runway pieces up close is one of my favorite things to do as you really get the essence of the collection. Prada has always been a visionary house and you might only understand a few seasons later what this was all about. It is intelligent fashion. I have an extensive Prada collection and like to mix and match different seasons, combining vintage items with new ones like I did here.

Stay tuned for the full report on the Prada S/S 2025 collection coming up shortly.

My look: Double-breasted cloth jacket with feather detail, knitted top in green, and matching green jacquard skort, sequin-embellished triangle bag, and matching sequin-embellished bucket hat, earrings, and black suede boots, all by Prada.

Adrian Appiolaza Joins Moschino

Just nine days after officially becoming Moschino’s creative director, Italian fashion designer Davide Renne had died of an undisclosed sudden illness last fall. The Milan fashion scene was shaken.

This week, the House of Moschino announced the appointment of Adrian Appiolaza as the new Creative Director. He will make his debut with the F/W 2024 Women’s collection, which will be showcased on February 22nd at 6:00 PM CET at the Museo della Permanente during Milan Fashion Week.

Born in Argentina in 1972, he grew up in Buenos Aires where his grandmother owned a tailoring business that initiated his love for fashion. However, it was actually his love of music that made him move to Europe to be part of the Manchester music scene, rather than his affinity with fashion.

When he made the move to London in the early 90s, he studied fashion design at Central Saint Martins. He worked then at Alexander McQueen. However his career kicked off when Phoebe Philo invited hime to join her team at Chloé after noticing his graduate collection in 2002. From here, the designer worked under Miuccia Prada at Miu Miu from 2006, then headed to Louis Vuitton as senior designer for Marc Jacobs in 2010. A quick return to Chloé as Clare Waight Keller’s design director in 2012 saw him then move to Loewe in 2014, working closely with Jonathan Anderson as the brand’s ready-to-wear design director for a decade before starting his job at Moschino.

The designer is true fashion collector himself and his own personal collection contains rare pieces from Yohji Yamamoto, Vivienne Westwood, Jean Paul Gaultier, Martin Margiela and Comme des Garçons to name just a few.

I think he is the perfect choice for Moschino.

Behind the Scenes: Moschino F/W 2023 Show

This season, I flew to Milan Fashion Week to indulged in a 2-day extravaganza with MOSCHINO. I started with a shopping spree in their newly opened boutique located at Via della Spiga, 26, followed by the highlight of my trip. I attended the F/W 2023 show, followed by a backstage visit to meet Jeremy Scott and an intimate dinner with my MOSCHINO family.

Arriving at the venue with my MOSCHINO family.

With Massimo Ferretti, who is the executive chairman of parent company Aeffe SpA, that he founded in 1980 with his sister Alberta Ferretti. Aeffe SpA owns Moschino.

Ever wonder what it’s like before a runway show? Before the crowds, the music and glamour; what really happens when the guests arrive? I always say that there is already a fashion show happening outside. Streetstyle photographers try to capture the best outfits as well as the celebrities who are attending the défilé. While backstage the models get ready, I’ve always been intrigued by how designers cope with the stress of fashion shows. I mean it is the most important minutes of their entire season.

A fashion show backstage is packed with models, designers, managers, stylists, makeup artists, hairdressers, publicists, and other fashion elite who are there to ensure a fabulous show. Behind the scenes, there’s an army of people working frantically to make sure the fashion show goes off without a hitch. So you can imagine the relief when everything is over. Going backstage after a show is such a great experience.

Having fun with Italian actress Chiara Francini backstage.

This season, I was able to talk to Jeremy and congratulated him on his beautiful collection. He is such a sweetheart and held my hands the entire conversation.

I hope that you enjoyed my photo documentary, for the runway show itself, click here please. And for the post about my yummy outfit, click here please.

My Look: Prada Lunar

Inspired by the world of winter sports, Prada presents a capsule collection for Lunar Year 2022 blending specialized know-how with a distinctive style. Only available in certain stores such as in Gstaad, I fell immediately in love with the colorful floral patterns. I wore this look to the Prada F/W 2022 show in Milan and as this collection is very limited, I was the only guest sporting those prints, which was extremely cool.

My look: Printed jersey hoodie, printed jersey jumpsuit, stretch jersey top, Monolith leather and nylon fabric combat boots, crystal-embellished bucket hat, and pocket logo-strap crossbody bag, all by Prada.

My Look: Dinner With Prada

The last four days I spent with PRADA in Milan during Fashion Week. I had so many amazing experiences that I cannot wait to share them all with you. Before the after show dinner at Papermoon Giardino on Friday evening, we took those photos before the PRADA art wall in Via Spallanzani. Drawing on Mrs Prada’s love of the gesture, I wore my yellow cape clutched over the black ensemble made of re-nylon. I find this look very modern and sophisticated even though it draws inspiration from the ’90s.

My look: Yellow re-nylon cape, re-nylon gabardine bralettelogo buckle belt re-nylon midi skirt, logo-plaque 90mm pumps, coral brushed leather tote bag, vintage embellished necklace and matching earrings, all by Prada.

Not Only for Cinderella

W 2011 Campaign

During Milan fashion week, the Miu Miu store seemed busier than any other store. The sparkling pumps in glittering shades of royal blue, pink, orange and fuchsia were whisked off to new homes. The fashion editors’s talk of the night…”Which colour did you get?”
