My Look: Black Bang

Following an invitation by Valentino to an enchanting and mysterious evening, where the dress code said: «Dark as Le Noir», reminiscent of the Maison’s F/W 2024 collection, I showed up in this monochromatic black outfit with gold jewelry pieces.

My Look: 80s

Last week’s gala episode of MY STYLE ROCKS was all about the 1980s. I love this era as it was all about bold, loud, and unapologetic fashion! Think big everything—from oversized shoulder pads to voluminous hair. Neon colors, metallics, and animal prints dominated wardrobes, while leg warmers and spandex became gym-to-street staples. Preppy looks with popped collars and designer logos contrasted with edgy punk styles, featuring ripped jeans and studded leather. Accessories were just as over-the-top, with chunky jewelry, gloves, and fanny packs stealing the spotlight. Whether inspired by Madonna, Michael Jackson, Dynasty or Wall Street’s power suits, the 80s were a decade where more was definitely more!

My look: Double-breasted wool-blend blazer with oversized shouldersicon, and matching green mini skirt, both by Balenciaga, black tulle gloves with GG motificon by Gucci, Mitza ring by Dior Fine Jewellery, wide chain bracelet by CHANELivory oyster enamel mother of pearl brooch by Burberry, hoop-drop clip earringsiconclassic Paris D’Orsay pumps with bow, metallic-trimmed leather clutchblack chiffon bow choker necklace, and wide-brimmed rabbit and cotton-blend felt fedora, all by Saint Laurent.

My Look: Cat Lady

«Stay committed to your decisions, but stay flexible in your approach. Flexibility is a requirement for survival. Have the will of a tiger, the strength of a leopard, and the heart of a lion.»

I like being a cat lady. If I was an animal, I would love to be a big cat. In my world, leopard is a color. This season, the classic print has been given a serious rebranding, and has been spotted allover. The best brand to look out for animal prints is by far Dolce & Gabbana! No doubt about that.

My look: Kim leopard-print cotton-blend chenille jumpsuit, and Sicily small crystal and leather handbag, both by Dolce & Gabbanalaser-cut leather corset belt by Alaïa, Mitza ring by Dior Fine Jewellerygrooved cabochon clip earringsicon and Cherry leather platform ankle boots, both by Saint Laurent.

My Look: Aries

I am such a zodiac lover. Therefore Zimmermann‘s F/W 2022 collection, called Stargazer, caught my eyes immediately. Sisters Nicky and Simone Zimmermann created the most beautiful collection moulded around the mysticism of the zodiac. It is a fairytale decadence dedicated to our unique place in the universe; it is for a decadent heroine who’s meandering a maze of fantasy both light and dark. I loved the print and the orange hues dedicated to the sign of the aries. As I gave birth to one, I couldn’t resist to get this look.

My look: Kaleidoscope Aries cotton-blend shirt dress, and Kaleidoscope Aries printed leggings, both by ZimmermannAevitas Pointy satin platform pumps by Versace, Cleo crystal-embellished shoulder bag by Prada, Mitza ring by Dior Fine Jewellery1994 faux-pearl dangle CC clip-on earrings, and pearl necklace, both by CHANEL.

My Look: Cute

A headpiece can transform any outfit into something very cute. You can also wear it to bring a dramatic note to a special occasion. I sported this lace dress last Monday to the event with Dior Parfums and Moët & Chandon at Park Hyatt Zurich. Thank you for all the compliments! Happy weekend!

My Look: Heels Over Pants

I love the new Bottega, so many cool pieces that can elevate your looks to new heights. My favorite barely there sandals that wrap around the ankles have already reached cult status. I love this clever styling trick (see trouser tuck) which means no more tailoring needed. For more sandals like those, visit the previous post here.

My Look: Life Is Better With a Dog

Any pet lover will say that life just seems better with a dog. The furry friends keep us company, entertain us, comfort us, protect us, and seem to make life fuller and more complete. I grew up with a dog and I still remember those beautiful years at his side. Today, I cannot pass a dog without a little cuddle. Henry kept me company while taking the photos of this floral-print linen outfit that is one of my favorites at the moment.

My look: Goldie cropped ruffled floral-print linen topicon, Goldie floral-print kick-flare linen trousersicon, and floral-print cotton visor, all by Zimmermann, Marmont fringed logo-embellished metallic cracked-leather pumps by Guccilogo earrings, side packs in yellow, and  yellow logo cuffs, all by Chanel«Mitza» ring by Dior Fine Jewellery and cat eye metal mirrored sunglasses by Fendi.

My Look: Art Basel

Last week, Art Basel took place, that brings the international artworld together, with leading galleries  from all over showing the works of over 4,000 modern and contemporary artists. Creating an exciting, region-wide art week, Art Basel is one of three shows – others are taking place in Hong Kong, and Miami Beach. I went there for the First Choice Preview on Tuesday, that you can only visit by invitation only, wearing one of my favorite outfits of the season.

My look: Lace-trimmed printed silk-twill bustier topicon, printed stretch-jersey leggingsicon, and gold-tone and printed silk-twill earrings, all by Versaceblack oversized tuxedo jacket by Stella McCartney, classic Paris D’Orsay pumps with bow and metallic-trimmed leather clutch, both by Saint Laurent, Mitza ring by Dior Fine Jewellery, and Tonda 1950 Galaxy by Parmigiani Fleurier.

Inside the fair, there is also the Collectors Lounge, where the event’s main sponsors have their dedicated areas and which you can only visit by invitation. As guest of UBS, I enjoyed my time at the UBS Lounge that was decorated by Costa Rican artist Federico Herrero. Later, I went for a glass of champagne at the Ruinart Lounge that showed the artworks of Brazilian artist Vik Muniz. Luxury beauty brand La Prairie partnered with three up-and-coming Swiss female artists to interpret the beauty, the mystery and the enduring timelessness of the gaze, resulting in the creation of three photographic installations.

I got asked what my favorite artwork is and I replied: «I love fashion – for me that is wearing art on my body». But of course, there were many amazing pieces to be discovered. Enjoy!

A big thank you to my hosts Gabriel Cohen, UBS Wealth Management, and Natascha Lander, UBS Chief Investment Office, Wealth Management.

I hope you like my look and the little excursion into the art world…

My Look: Kispi 2018

Last Saturday, I attended the Kispiball 2018 (Kispi is an abbreviation for Kinderspital which means children’s hospital in German) that always takes place at the Baur au Lac hotel in Zurich. It is one of my favorite charity events of the Swiss social calendar that raises money for the city’s children’s hospital that celebrates its 150 anniversary this year.

My look: Velvet-trimmed embroidered tulle and satin maxi dress by Diane von FurstenbergPatsy textured-leather tote by Gabriela Hearsticon, leather platform pumps and floral silk pin, both by Gucci, icon Mitza ring by Dior Haute Joaillerie, vintage colliericon by Dior, and Tonda 1950 Galaxy by Parmigiani Fleurier.

That night, the nightmare for every fashionista came true, someone was wearing the same gown as me. But to be honest, it’s not the disaster you think it is. We had accessorized it completely differently, I had attached a floral pin. So, we both laughed about it, because that’s pretty much all you can do if you don’t want to grab a pair of scissors to alter the dress.
