The Met Gala is typically held on the first Monday in May, but this year, the event was postponed due to COVID-19 and falls right in the middle of fashion month. As Iris Apfel once said: «When we were small children, we all played dress-up and everybody had a good time, so why stop?». This is how Met Gala is for me, a huge party for everyone who loves to dress up and has never stop to indulge in fashion.

Also referred to as «fashion’s biggest night out,» the Met Gala is a fundraising benefit for the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. This year, the Costume Institute will host its first two-part exhibition, on the theme of American fashion, during 2021 and 2022. Part one, «In America: A Lexicon of Fashion,» will open in the Anna Wintour Costume Center on September 18, 2021, and will remain on display when «In America: An Anthology of Fashion,» opens on May 5, 2022 in the period rooms of the American Wing. Both shows will run through September 5, 2022.

While I am at Clinique La Prairie for a master detox program, I try to stay away from work as much as possible. Even that I post on a daily basis, I have so many things that still haven’t been revealed. Time is really the issue. Today’s post is very emotional. This was the last fashion show I attended that felt normal. One year ago, right before the first lockdown in Italy started, I was invited by Moschino to see their F/W 2020 show which was one of my favorites of all time, inspired by the French Revolution and Marie Antoinette (for a post in which I wear a look from the show, click here please). After the presentation, I was invited by Moschino to IT Milano, a one Michelin star restaurant, and got spoiled by chef Gennaro Esposito, who really liked my Crazy Fruits bag. When I was a little girl I would play dress up and prance around, twirling tulle skirts, and admiring the glamorous reflection of my sparkly earrings. Today I wished I could just beam me back to those fun times playing with my Barbie dolls and Hello Kitty gadgets. My iPhone crashed completely and it took me 8 hours to rescue everything. This made me realize how dependent we all are on this portable device and how I sometimes miss those carefree days.

Playing dress up is still so much fun for me and I love to indulge in those happy, pink, and girly moments. Therefore I left my daughter’s playroom exactly as it was when she was a little kid. The perfect backdrop for this fun and playful outfit.

I am truly counting down the days until life will hopefully back to normal. This week, I did «Lion’s Run», a fun car rally that took us through Germany, Austria, Italy, and France in only five days. Here you see me on the third day when I left Milan with a private police escort in the morning and drove to San Vincenzo in the Italian Aosta Valley.

A celebration of femininity with a punk undertone – something that Christopher Kane knows how to deliver best. Last weekend, I celebrated several occasions in London and had a fantastic time. Before I left for dinner at The Arts Club, we took these photos in my Park Suite at the Como Metropolitan hotel. Completed renovated in fall 2015, this luxury minimalist boutique hotel is perfectly located in Mayfair. If you stay there, don’t miss the Asian-style spa, Nobu restaurant and the slinky cocktail bar.
