My Look: Smile

Sandra_Bauknecht_Smile_PradaOne of my favorite quotes says «a smile is the prettiest thing you can wear». I think it is so true. You can wear the most amazing clothes but with no positive attitude, they will look only half as beautiful. Here you see me having a lot of fun shooting the social media campaign for Montblanc‘s «Urban Spirit» line.

My look: Dark blue lace dress, studded bag, velvet mohawk pumps, thin black and gold belt, matching choker (all from previous collections) and new lace-up denim bustier belticon, all by Prada, diamond ring by Vainard Fine Jewellery.

And smile, it is Valentine’s Day – time to get spoiled!

LoL, Sandra

Greenery – Color of the Year 2017

greenery_color2017

In collage: Ruffle trimmed single breasted wool coat by Gucci and nail lacquer in Greenery by Butter London.

Each year PANTONE, the global color authority, chooses one Color of the Year, like a snapshot of what we see taking place in our global culture that serves as an expression of a mood and an attitude. For 2017, it is GREENERY, a refreshing and revitalizing shade, symbolic of new beginnings. This fresh and zesty yellow-green shade evokes the first days of spring when nature’s greens revive, restore and renew.

Illustrative of flourishing foliage and the lushness of the great outdoors, the fortifying attributes of Greenery signals consumers to take a deep breath, oxygenate and reinvigorate. Greenery is nature’s neutral. The more submerged people are in modern life, the greater their innate craving to immerse themselves in the physical beauty and inherent unity of the natural world.

Michael Kors – Loewe – Emilio Pucci

Designers’ love of geekiness dictated an unexpected new power color on the S/S 2017 runways, making that vibrant shade a real showstopper. A life-affirming hue, Greenery is also emblematic of the pursuit of personal passions and vitality. See below in my post some of the best pieces to utilise greenery from now.

And while you are shopping, prepare yourself a trendy Matcha tea to get you in the ultimate Greenery mood!

My Look: Superwoman

sandra_bauknecht_superman_sweater_valentino_loewe_joyce_bag_denim

Somehow I always find the time before the holiday season extremely stressful, getting everything ready for the family, the gifts, the food, the decoration, preparing the travels and getting all the business work done. Running around the city in those freezing temperatures doesn’t make it any better. Then, it is always time to put on some superwoman powers…

My Look: Russian Night

sandra_bauknecht_alexander_mcqueen_russian_night

For the Russian night «La Nuit des Tsars» during the ASW Winter Weekend in Gstaad, I went for white fur and burgundy velvet, taking cues from the 19th century and old-world Russian luxury.

My look: Mink shrug and fur hat, both by Prada, ruffle-trimmed embroidered silk-blend tulle mini dressicon by Alexander McQueen, Lily velvet knee bootsicon and velvet waist belt, both by Saint Laurent, vintage eagle earrings and matching clutch bag, both by Chanel, Tank Américaine in yellow gold with diamonds by Cartier and «Mitza» ring by Dior Haute Joaillerie.

My Look: XOX

mcqueen_dress_gown_gstaad_sandra_bauknecht_xox

Today’s outfit post comes with hugs and kisses from Gstaad. I wore this gown to the ASW Foundation Gala Dinner last weekend at the Gstaad Palace. It is such a great piece, comfortable and great for dancing, something that can be difficult with a long dress in general.

My look: Ruffled lace-paneled metallic silk-blend gown and Sarabande embellished satin-trimmed lace bra top, both by Alexander McQueen, cutout leather platform pumps by Saint Laurent, vintage baguette bag by Christian Dior and earrings by Prada.

My Look: Munich Bound

munich_bound_sandra_bauknecht_jason_wu_gucci_valentino_chanelLast Thursday, I flew to Munich for a very interesting press conference with Neutrogena. After I landed back in Zurich at 10pm, I went straight to a friend’s cocktail party. I knew I wouldn’t have time to change, therefore I planned my outfit precisely. Metallics are always a great way to work day and night, adding the right shimmer especially in artificial light.
