As most of you know, I love Munich very much and spent many years living there. Every corner of the city carries a memory for me. Therefore I was very excited to go back for the first Oktoberfest weekend mid-September to celebrate Breakfast at Tiffany’s. This iconic event always starts at the store on Perusastrasse followed by a visit to the Schützenzelt at the Wies’n. It is a great celebration as you see many familiar faces, all enjoying beer and of course the most amazing Bavarian treats. The only drop of bitterness was the heavy rain but at least we were protected in style with the help of turquoise Tiffany umbrellas.
My look: Dirndl «St. Moritz» in grey and dirndl blouse, both by Owloon, purple wool jacket by Happycoat, Monogramme Kate studded leather shoulder bag by Saint Laurent, light green pumps by Prada and T Smile 18-karat rose gold diamond bracelet by Tiffany & Co..
LoL, Sandra
The rain couldn’t stop us!

Later we went to the Oktoberfest inside the Schützenzelt.

The new T Smile collection is too cute.

Thank you, Tiffany & Co. for this lovely day!

PRADA has finally established a commanding presence in Zurich again with a new boutique on the legendary Bahnhofstrasse; one of the most exclusive shopping enclaves in Switzerland.
The new space covers a total area of approximately 1,100 square meters over three floors and offers collections for both men and women. In design, Prada sought to combine the strength of its own heritage with a dynamic evolution of style and technology.
Borsani chairs evoke classic Italian design while a sleek black marble façade and rhythmic composition of windows harmonize with the architectural elements of the existing building. The iconic checkerboard motif is reinterpreted through the use of accentuated color schemes. Expansive video walls, green ceiling beams, floors laid with yellow and white geometric patterns and green Alpine marble accents enhance furnishings and spaces.
The ground floor is dedicated to leathergoods, accessories and women’s footwear. The first floor is exclusive to women’s collections and offers very intimate spaces for Made to Order services. The second floor, dedicated to the men’s collections and Made to Measure, is characterized by more masculine colors, furnishings and geometric elements.
Last week, PRADA hosted a private VIP opening event where guests got to explore the gorgeous store before its official party this Thursday.

A year after the opening of Pasticceria Marchesi 1824 on Via Montenapoleone, the historical pastry shop controlled by the Prada Group opened the doors to its new stylish location in Milan’s Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II on Monday.
Housed in the same building as the Prada menswear store, the inauguration of another iconic Marchesi pastry shop is the second phase of a major project in which the prestigious Galleria location of the Prada Group will become a genuine hub of its many facets, where fashion, food, art and a wide range of cultural activities will harmoniously coexist.
Stefano Cantino
Towards WWD, Stefano Cantino, Group Strategic Marketing Director, said that Prada, which became a majority shareholder with an 80 percent stake in March 2014, will expand Pasticceria Marchesi outside of Italy. “We’ve had requests from international malls, but we are defining the timing. In the medium-term, we will open in Shanghai and Dubai. We are not doing franchised banners and we want to guarantee high standards,” explained Cantino, adding that “maybe” some Prada stores could also house the pastry shop. Wouldn’t that be amazing?
I love the green interior design that is elegant and so reminiscent of the Prada stores around the world. Part of the space in the new store is used as an elegant tea room which serves a variety of dishes throughout the day: breakfast, lunch, tea, and an evening aperitif.
Open one in Zurich, please!

This season, PRADA brings you a delicate new addition to the Prada Candy universe. Inspired by fashion, music and the pop culture of the ’60s, Prada Candy Kiss is composed around one single note, an overdose of powdery musk that is wrapped up in orange blossom and vanilla.
The Prada Candy family from left to right: Prada Candy Kiss (2016), Prada Candy L’Eau (2013), Prada Candy (2011) and Prada Candy Florale (2014).
Under the creative direction of Miuccia Prada, Daniela Andrier has created this delicate gourmand cocktail that is quite addictive, oriental, sweet and powdery, evoking thousands of kisses.
The campaign was shot by Steven Meisel who transformed US model Lexi Boling in a seductive pop icon.
Prada Candy Kiss is available as Eau de Parfum in three different sizes: 30ml (CHF 82.00), 50ml (CHF 110.00) and 80ml (CHF 140.00).

My first Prada moment was in my French class in school when I spotted my teacher with an interesting bag in nylon (how I looked at that time you can see above, blonde as hell…). It must have been in 1989 or 1990. The Italian fashion house had just launched its first women’s ready-to-wear collection and was on its way due to its originality to become one of the most influential fashion houses and a premium status symbol of the ’90s. The designs came to be known for their dropped waistlines and narrow belts as well as the use of unusual fabrics. Prada has always been an emotional brand for me. Probably because I started to collect it from the first season. Most men don’t understand Miuccia’s style and I had many funny discussions about it as I was always drawn to it. It made me feel independent and strong while of course feeling extremely fashionable.
One of my first Prada pieces I got was the famous «Vela» nylon backpack in black that accompanied me through my high school years (see photo above). For being over 20 years old, it looks pretty fantastic! Launched in 1984 in an “industrial-weight nylon used for army tents,” according to Vogue, the utile house classic evolved into its best-known form in 1987.
Vela Backpack by Prada
Now the label’s signature backpack is back on the streets and on its way to become again a must-have. Just as coveted as in the early ‘90s, this sporty-chic style will take you through off-duty dressing on a decidedly chic note. The Vela is just roomy enough to hold all your essentials safe, while keeping you supremely stylish and the nylon material is great when you hit the rain.

Great news is that Prada finally made it into the world of online shopping and is exclusively available at Net-à-Porter and Mytheresa.com.
This post inspired me to show you in the near future a Prada look of each season that I collected over the years. Going down memory lane can be quite emotional, especially as I link events to outfits and scents. I may not remember your name but I will never forget what you wore when we met… it is just the way my brain is structured, embracing a deep love of fashion that I hopefully spread with this blog!

Finally the sun is out. I love those bikini summer days with beach waves and a little tan. Here you see me chilling in St. Barths, my favorite little island in the world.
My look: Embroidered silk crepe de chine kaftan by Matthew Williamson, cutout bandage bikini by Hervé Léger, sandals by Prada, leopard print tote by Lanvin and «So Real» sunglasses by Dior.
