Before leaving to Los Angeles, I wore this comfy look for a nice lunch at one of my favorite restaurants in Zurich, Bindella, and a little shopping spree with my daughter.
My look: Black ruffled wool jacket by Prada, honeycomb chunky open-knit sweater by Tibi, leather shorts by Saint Laurent, cut-out ankle boots by Balenciaga, sunglasses by Dolce & Gabbana, Trapeze bag by Céline and Diorette ring by Dior Haute Joaillerie.

It is a joke, they are not back, but I have to admit sometimes it is fun to look for something ‘Eighties‘ in your closet. Tight mini dresses, big statement jewelry and heavy makeup – this is all you need to achieve the look. Just stay away from those typical bad highlights (if you are not a real blonde, you have to be really careful to choose the right color) to transport the style to the recent decade. You don’t want to look like going to a costume party. Do everything with style!
My look: Black mini dress and Janis leather pumps, both by Saint Laurent, Falabella crystal-embellished faux leather clutch by Stella McCartney, earrings by Prada, Limelight gala watch and rose diamond ring by Piaget, stay-ups with bow by Wolford.
Rock the night! Girls just wanna have fun…

Last week, I was in Paris for an exciting special project that will be revealed in March. Here you see me at one of my favorite places in the city: at Place Vendôme, the most beautiful square in the 1st arrondissement and home to the biggest names in high-end jewelry.
My look: Black coat with lace detail by Prada, leather and cotton-jersey sweater, chain-trimmed leather mini skirt, and Betty chain red leather shoulder bag, all by Saint Laurent, fine-knit wool turtleneck sweater by Lanvin, boots by Chanel, Audrey wayfarer sunglasses by Céline and rose diamond ring by Piaget.

Reminiscent of a soccer team group shot, the new Prada S/S 2014 ad campaign shot by Steven Meisel reflects the fierce and independent spirit of the collection. Teams of models hold us in their collective gaze, looking forward in a united vision.
The only thing missing is the football… but I am sure that most of us will be ready for the fashionable battle in Prada’s sporty tube socks and striped details. Personally speaking, I am crazy for those giant mural prints of female faces on the dresses, fur coats and bags. Those will definitely score a goal in my closet!

It’s about tribal details, the power of pleats and the beauty of flowers, whether they’re luxurious embroideries or bold statement prints. Take cues from your favorite gallery and wear something artful. Don’t forget to add something shiny and to work on your waistline to sport the new must-have cropped tops. Sportswear has made its way into our daily wardrobe and bermudas should be worn layered with a skirt or dress.

If you have a weekend in Bangkok, squeeze in a day trip to Chatuchak Weekend Market and you will not be disappointed. This must-visit is one of the world’s largest weekend markets with over 15,000 booths selling goods from every part of Thailand. Everything is on sale here, shop ‘till you drop’, although not all at the best bargain rates.
The best way to get there is to hop on the Skytrain (BTS) to Mo Chit station, and follow the crowd until you see rows of canvas stalls selling clothes and other items. Almost everything can be found here, and most vendors actually come from local factories, like antique wood carving, clay handicrafts, wooden funitures, hand made decorated flowers, and much more.
My look: Tulle floral skirt and jacket (you need one for the Skytrain, the air conditioner feels like being in a freezer), both by Jean Paul Gaultier Femme, tank top by American Vintage, Vela nylon backpack (great piece to carry your personal belongings while travelling) by Prada, sunglasses by Marc Jacobs, studded bracelet by H&M and golden sandals by Zara.

The title might sound a little pathetic looking at all the fur clothes that Miuccia Prada presented for her S/S 2014 collection. But even if you don’t like fur, you will have to admit that those designs are pieces of art. Colourful and vibrant, the craftsmanship that is needed to create those intarsia details is outstanding. Miuccia Prada uses the fur like a canvas and as most clothes cost as much as a masterpiece, why not combine the two? “Art” has been a major inspiration for many designers for the S/S 2014 season.
Personally speaking, I love the facial prints seen on the handbags the most. Cannot wait to get my hands on those…
Somebody else who couldn’t wait for those pieces to hit the shelves was no other than Marc Jacobs. He walked his dog on Christmas Day in Saint Barts wearing already one of the Prada S/S 2014 fur coats. He is a great admirer and friend of Miuccia Prada and I spotted him frequently at her Miu Miu shows in the afternoon after he had shown Louis Vuitton in the morning.
Let’s see which one of the must-have pieces Anna Wintour and Anna Dello Russo will pick. Nevertheless, Marc was first!

This was the outfit I wore to the ASMALLWORLD gala dinner in Gstaad Mid December. I still owe you all the photos from this weekend. Please bare with me, they will be coming up shortly.
While being in Bangkok, I am a little too busy exploring the city and finding the best spots to tell you all about.
My look (also perfect for New Year’s Eve…): Lace gown by Alessandra Rich (50% off now), bow-embellished patent-leather pumps by Saint Laurent, satin clutch by Prada, earrings by Miu Miu and rose diamond ring by Piaget.

Merry X-mas to all of you. Christmas Eve was absolutely fantastic being surrounded by my loved ones in the comfort of my own home. In the morning after my last minute shopping tour, my daughter and I decorated our Christmas tree that turned out to be very girly in pink, white and silver with a touch of black. A few years ago, I decided to get an artificial tree. I always felt bad to cut one for only those few days and hated the cleaning up after the season was over. With the fake snow, I really love its look and to achieve this iconic pine smell, I use a little trick (Please click here for last year’s post). Each season, I also opt for another color scheme.
In the evening, we ate great food and dressed up just enough to feel special, but still be comfy. We always end up playing fun games and talk until late. After dinner, we exchanged gifts – the little extra magic and sparkle of a Christmas Eve. Being a mum, I felt like Sandra Claus seeing my daughter’s eyes filled with joy and happiness. It is one of those magical moments you treasure forever. My hubby really surprised me in a fun way. He had “bribed” my personal shopper at net-à-porter and got me some of my favorite items from my wish list. My personal shopper told me she had to take them out of my basket as they were defect and I had been so disappointed… great idea, I have to say! I cannot wait to show you my new pieces.
My look for Christmas Eve matching my tree: Pink cowl-back silk-sateen dress (from the new Resort 2014 collection, also available in black) and pointed leather Mary-Jane pumps, both by Saint Laurent, art deco earrings by Prada, cuff by Chanel, Limelight Gala watch and rose diamond ring, both by Piaget, Twenties stay-up by Wolford.
