This was my look that I wore to the Omega press conference with Nicole Kidman in Vienna for the launch of their new Ladymatic models:
Stretch-jersey crepe top by Alexander McQueen, pleated brocade mini skirt and tiger-embroidered leather shoulder bag, both by Kenzo, suede ankle boots by Saint Laurent and black velvet deluxe tights by Wolford.
I am very much in love with this Kenzo bag as I still adore the tiger embroidery but had seen too many of the iconic sweaters on the streets recently…

Sorry for bringing you bad news twice today, first we have heard that Lilly Pulitzer Rousseau’s passed away at 81 yesterday and it has been announced that former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher died this morning peacefully following a stroke. She was 87 years old.
The Iron Lady was not only an outstanding politician, but also a fashion icon. On both sides of the Atlantic, Maggie Thatcher is being considered as the originator of the power look for women. She opted for tailored skirt suits and pussycat bows. One of her clever tricks to show power was funnily enough that she never wore pants. Her signature pearls, shoulder pads (to stand literally “shoulder to shoulder” with men), handbags, and royal blue hues were a sign of control. Throughout her career, she turned her looks into POWER DRESSING!
Let’s honour her with this look inspired by her: Iris wool-twill blazer and matching Alyssa pencil skirt, both by Stella McCartney, polka-dot silk-twill pussy-bow blouse by Saint Laurent, Amelia patent-leather pumps by Jimmy Choo, croc-effect and textured-leather bag by Lanvin and multi-strand pearl necklace by Kenneth Jay Lane.
R.I.P. Maggie Thatcher!

I have to admit that when I saw the new Saint Laurent campaign yesterday, I didn’t dare to post it because of April Fools’ Day. But this is no joke! Marilyn Manson, the ’90s rocker, is the new face. Of course, this has nothing to do with the image we have had of the brand so far. Looking closer, Hedi Slimane‘s pick may not be as surprising as it seems.
For F/W 2013, the designer’s went for grunge-heavy designs, mixing plaid shirts with babydoll dresses. First, I didn’t like it at all but slowly I am getting used to this high street look in good quality. Recently, I had a conversation with another fashion editor who said “probably he is already one step further ahead of us…” and that made me think. She might be right…

This Easter weekend has been absolutely perfect so far, of course excluding the weather. Here in Zurich, it has been snowing today. Totally crazy. In the morning, I went to a friend’s house for a lovely Easter brunch. It was so great to be with the people I haven’t seen in a long time.
My look: Double breasted jacket by Saint Laurent, black Féline tee with gold foil by Brian Lichtenberg, Kate ankle boots by De Siena, Zurich bag by Milli Millu, fox snake and statement necklace, both by Gabriele Frantzen, ring by Roberto Cavalli, bangles by Sal y Limon and python print stretch-leather skirt by Utzon (The Danish brand makes amazing leather pieces of great quality, click here to visit their homepage).
I hope that your Easter egg hunt was successful!

Today, I have spent a great day in Vienna. Shopping, sightseeing and a surprise, the only thing missing was the sun.
First, I went to Liska, a fabulous high fashion store, located in the heart of the Austrian city. Established in 2002, the shop carries brands such as Saint Laurent, Dior, Fendi and Valentino, as well as their own label, Liska by Thomas Kirchgrabner, the boutique’s USP is its range of furs. Your premier destination if you are on the hunt for that perfect mink coat or sable stole.

Then, I did some sightseeing and visited the famous Spanish Riding School (Spanische Hofreitschule)…
… and Vienna’s landmark, the St. Stephen’s Cathedral (Stephansdom).
The best moment of today was when I saw Dave Gahan again. I have always been a huge fan of Depeche Mode and had met him in Frankfurt a few years ago. If you are interested in seeing the previous post, please click here.
My look: Coat with fur details by Blumarine, cashmere sweater by J.Crew, scarf and stretch-leather skinny pants, both by Gucci, ankle boots by Prada and leather tote by Saint Laurent.

This morning, I attended the Omega press conference in the presence of Nicole Kidman that I will show you very soon. It was freezing cold today in Vienna so that I didn’t feel like being outside for too long. In the afternoon, I took a “Fiaker”, a horse carriage, to the city’s iconic Sacher hotel to treat myself to the probably most famous chocolate cake in the world: Original Sacher-Torte.
Its story began in 1832, when it was created by a 16 year old apprentice in his second year, Franz Sacher, for Wenzel Clemens Prince Metternich, the chancellor of Austria. The head chef was ill and not able to fulfill the important order so that the teenaged Franz Sacher had to invent something on the spot. That was the day when the victorious career of the renowned Austrian dessert composition began…
The basis is a chocolate cake, thinly coated by hand with best-quality apricot jam. The chocolate icing on top of it is the crowning glory. You can order it online here.
My look: Python-print down jacket by Roberto Cavalli, red knit dress with chiffon ruffles and black scarf with gold threads, both by Gucci, boots by Balmain and my beloved leather tote by Saint Laurent.

I am off to Vienna with Omega today and very excited for tonight’s gala dinner with Nicole Kidman. Stay tuned for more…

Tuesday, I flew to one of my favourite cities in the world: London. I was invited by Marionnaud to attend the Rodial Beautiful Awards. Here you see me on the arrival day. I stayed at the lovely St. Martins Lane hotel, where the event took place in the evening. Before going on a little shopping spree, I enjoyed a yummy lunch at the Asia de Cuba restaurant.
My look: Military coat by Miu Miu, shirt and knit waistcoat by Gucci, double-layered mesh skirt by Theyskens’ Theory, glass crystal eagle necklace by Lanvin, boots by Balmain and leather tote by Saint Laurent.
I know that you have seen me lately many times with this shopper by Saint Laurent. It is truly my favourite bag at the moment, especially when I am travelling. It is easy to carry and suits all sorts of styles. Stay tuned for the upcoming post of the event, I love my job!
