My Look: Lion’s Run

This week, I did «Lion’s Run», a fun car rally that took us through Germany, Austria, Italy, and France in only five days. Here you see me on the third day when I left Milan with a private police escort in the morning and drove to San Vincenzo in the Italian Aosta Valley.

My long bomber jacket is embellished with «Mickey, the Rat», created by the cartoonist Robert Armstrong, who is known for popularizing the term «couch potato».

My Look: Kiss a Frog

«Sometimes you gotta kiss a frog to find a prince» and if you do, please do it in style. Nicky Zimmermann says if she wasn’t a designer, she’d be a florist, which explains all the beautiful botanical patterns in her collections that I adore so much. Made from breathable linen it is the perfect choice for not having an attack of sweating when Mr. Right is standing in front of you.

Stella x Taylor Swift

To support the release of her new album «Lover,» out this week on August 23, 2019 Taylor Swift announced that she’s working with British fashion designer Stella McCartney on a special—and sustainable—fashion collaboration, featuring organic fabrics, leather made from recycled polyester and vegetable waste oils, and even a reusable water bottle.

«She’s been a friend for a really long time, and also just a woman I respect so much,» Swift said of McCartney during an Instagram Live. The collection is inspired by the songs on the album, and is including a bomber jacket, purse, and many tees in all sorts of amazing pastel hues and tie-dyes. You don’t need to be a teenager to like those pieces…

Tune in to Taylor’s YouTube channel at 5pm EST on August 22, 2019 to see Stella and Taylor reveal more about their creative process.

The collection will be available in a special pop-up store in New York City called «The Lover Experience» that will take place between August 23-25, 2019 and online here. It seems to be the only place fans will be able to purchase the limited edition tees (at least for now). The jacket and purse, however, will also be available on Stella McCartney’s website starting the night of August 22, 2019.

Stella McCartney x The Beatles

Peace, love and togetherness for a new generation!
The ‘All Together Now’ collection is finally here, inspired by the iconic Beatles filmYellow Submarine’.

Stella McCartney with her Beatles-Dad Paul McCartney

It affected me in a way I just wasn’t expecting. Especially this idea of connecting people and bringing people together—politically this message has never been more relevant. So, I came out and I was like ‘I have to do something.’” – Stella

My favorite piece of the collection: the fur free coat.

The hand-illustrated musical film is a psychedelic adventure through a colourful world, and Stella McCartney‘s bold new collection brings its spirit back to life, with a modern twist.

Take a ride with the brand’s new campaign, starring musical artists Oscar Jerome, Keyah Blu, Joy Crookes and Femi Koleoso, on Stella’s World now!

My Look: Art Basel

Last week, Art Basel took place, that brings the international artworld together, with leading galleries  from all over showing the works of over 4,000 modern and contemporary artists. Creating an exciting, region-wide art week, Art Basel is one of three shows – others are taking place in Hong Kong, and Miami Beach. I went there for the First Choice Preview on Tuesday, that you can only visit by invitation only, wearing one of my favorite outfits of the season.

My look: Lace-trimmed printed silk-twill bustier topicon, printed stretch-jersey leggingsicon, and gold-tone and printed silk-twill earrings, all by Versaceblack oversized tuxedo jacket by Stella McCartney, classic Paris D’Orsay pumps with bow and metallic-trimmed leather clutch, both by Saint Laurent, Mitza ring by Dior Fine Jewellery, and Tonda 1950 Galaxy by Parmigiani Fleurier.

Inside the fair, there is also the Collectors Lounge, where the event’s main sponsors have their dedicated areas and which you can only visit by invitation. As guest of UBS, I enjoyed my time at the UBS Lounge that was decorated by Costa Rican artist Federico Herrero. Later, I went for a glass of champagne at the Ruinart Lounge that showed the artworks of Brazilian artist Vik Muniz. Luxury beauty brand La Prairie partnered with three up-and-coming Swiss female artists to interpret the beauty, the mystery and the enduring timelessness of the gaze, resulting in the creation of three photographic installations.

I got asked what my favorite artwork is and I replied: «I love fashion – for me that is wearing art on my body». But of course, there were many amazing pieces to be discovered. Enjoy!

A big thank you to my hosts Gabriel Cohen, UBS Wealth Management, and Natascha Lander, UBS Chief Investment Office, Wealth Management.

I hope you like my look and the little excursion into the art world…

My Look: Red & Turquoise for Spring

Red and turquoise create one of those unexpected color combinations that will turn heads. The reason? Red looks more brilliant next to turquoise than it does when paired with most other colors. Here you see me wearing this fabulous duo at a beach club in Saint-Tropez on a cloudy day.

My look: Embellished circus patch denim jacketicon and layered silk and multi-stone necklace, both by Etro, crocheted lace-trimmed silk crepe de chine maxi dress by Costarellosicon, Impatiens clip-on earrings by Oscar de la Renta, Candy metallic elaphe platform sandalsicon by Saint LaurentCahier raffia crossbody bagicon by Pradagold-tone and shell necklace by Isabel Marant, and cuff by Stella McCartney.

My Look: Tina

Today’s post is dedicated to the outfit that I wore to the Sioux x Til Schweiger Launch Event in Hamburg. It is all about fashion meets art, as Stella McCartney got inspired by the work of almost entirely unknown artist Joseph Henry Lynch, slightly better recognised by his signature, J.H. Lynch. Nevertheless, you might remember his most ubiquitous, mass-produced, kitsch portrait «Tina» (Tina, 1964, Artwork by J.H. Lynch in college above), named for the voluptuous, kohl-eyed subject, painted in the saturated, sensual style of a B-movie poster, that graces my jumpsuit and scarf.

My look: Tina jumpsuit, and matching Tina scarf, both by Stella McCartney, bomber jacket by BalenciagaMonogram fringed shoulder bag and Paris metallic leather ankle boots, both by Saint Laurent, golden disc earrings from the Paris – Bombay collection by Chanel.

It’s a PVC party!  If you feel like you’ve been spotting see-through everything lately, you’re not alone. But this season, designers step up their game by choosing vibrant colours, studs, laces or even lucite heels filled with surprises to attract the attention.

Clearly the most stylish shoes of the season!

My Look: Swiss Girl

It is official! I am a Swiss Girl. I couldn’t be happier to finally have received my Swiss passport and to be a double citizen of Germany, my birth place, and Switzerland, my home base.

Today marks Sechseläuten which I will be celebrating among dear friends for the first time as a citizen of Zurich. Following the parade of the “Zünfte” (guilds), the culmination of this popular tradition is the burning of winter in effigy, in the form of the “Böögg” (cognate to bogey), a figure of a snowman prepared with explosives.

My look: Oversized tuxedo blazer and green cloche hat, both by Stella McCartneyWindward logo-intarsia merino sweater and printed cotton and linen-blend mini skirticon, both by Burberry, T printed textured-leather pouchicon by Loewered leather Rockstud boots by Valentino, Limelight Gala watch and rose diamond ring, both by Piaget.
