This Sunday, I drove to Colmar in Alsace, France that is well known for its famous Christmas market. I can absolutely recommend this weekend excursion. From Zurich, it took me around one and a half hour to get there by car. Once you have arrived, you will enter the magic of Christmas at its best. First of all there’s the ambiance of the Old Town, illuminated and decorated like a fairy tale.
Colmar town centre is essentially pedestrian, comprises numerous architectural treasures such as monuments, churches, museums and alleys, full of imposing buildings dating from the Middle Ages to the 19th century. Enjoy some of yesterday’s impressions below.
My look: Belted shearling coat and studded wool-silk shawl, both by Gucci, Tiger embroidered cotton-jersey sweatshirt by Kenzo, Le Garcon mid-rise slim boyfriend jeans by Frame Denim, suede boots by Prada Sport, boy bag with chains by Chanel, rose diamond ring by Piaget, Pasha C watch by Cartier and Carlina round-frame gold-tone sunglasses by Chloé.

Available from today is the new and amazing collaboration between Edgardo Osorio‘s shoe cult brand Aquazurra (for a previous post please click HERE) and style icon Olivia Palermo.
The collection features a little something for everyone’s closet, from suede boots made from the Italian label’s patented ultra-soft cashmere leather to lace-up gladiator heels and embellished sparkling sandals.
The pieces are sold in 12 specially selected stores around the world and luckily, if you aren’t in one of those major cities, the collaboration is also available exclusively on Net-à-Porter.
Hurry up to snag our own pairs before they all sell out. Below are my favorites. I attached you the photos with the shoes on the models as you really have to see them worn. So beautiful!

Yesterday, I left for an amazing press trip I had been really looking forward to since weeks. Being invited by Gucci for the launch of their limited edition fragrance GUCCI GUILTY STUD to Nevada is pretty cool, isn’t it?
The trip was long, I flew from Zurich via San Francisco to Las Vegas. During the flight, I watched (couldn’t have been a better attunement…) Last Vegas, a comedy about a wild bachelor party thrown by group of old friends (Michael Douglas, Kevin Kline, Morgan Freeman and Robert de Niro). It is such a funny movie, imagine The Hangover as a geriatric edition.
Avid readers of my blog might recognize part of my look. It is one of my favorite outfits to wear on long-distance flights as I really like to be comfy.
My look: Spencer leather lapel jacket by Saint Laurent, leopard print jacket and matching track pants, both by Dolce & Gabbana, fine-knit cashmere top by Joseph, silk stole and textured-leather Bamboo tote, both by Gucci, suede boots by Balmain, rose diamond ring by Piaget and Spectra trolley by Victorinox.
Stay tuned for more coming up from Sin City. What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas… this does not apply to Sandra’s Closet! Promised, you will know everything. As a little teaser, I will enjoy a private concert by Bruno Mars tonight. Excited!

The Hermès S/S 2011 collection for men by Véronique Nichanian is a dream. Classic pieces like the well made pants and the colours in hues of white and beige are combined with skin revealed with subtlety. The look has what it takes to please both, men and the women who love them.
I came across two accessories for men that I find absolutely amazing. MUST-HAVES!
Belt-tie or tie-belt? Made of printed or woven silk to match the men’s S/S 2011 collection, this belt is presented in a gift box with two bands of silk and a removable Etrivière buckle. Vary the way you wear it to match your mood. CHF 730
This boot with its assertive personality dares cool green for a refreshing summer look. A British elegance is paired with a sensual modernity. I just love them! CHF 950

I left Florence filled with amazing memories and fully inspired. Stay tuned for many great photos and trend reports to be published soon.
When I am flying, I like to be comfy. Therefore I wore my grey sweatsuit by Stella McCartney Cruise 2011 along with my suede flat boots by Louis Vuitton Cruise 2011 and the fur jacket by Prada. Scarf by Matthew Williamson and hat by Balenciaga. As my suitcase was very heavy, I decided to take two pieces of hand luggage, my black Swarovski crystals embellished Balmain cross over suede bag and my leopard print Céline Boston tote.
Daniel from Stockholm Streetstyle took some great photos of me in front of the hotel and posted them on Caroline’s and his blog.
By the way, the hotel J.K.Place was gorgeous. Located in the heart of downtown Florenze, in Piazza Santa Maria Novella, in walking distance of all sightseeing attractions and shopping streets, it is a very special hotel experience. Small with only 20 rooms and suites, it doesn’t seem to be a hotel, it feels more like somebody’s house. There is one large breakfast table to accommodate all hotel guests in the morning. The interior design is very tasteful, contemporary and cozy. The service is outstanding, I have never felt so much at home in a hotel.
The best choice for fashionable people to stay in Florence!
Enjoy the photos, they are a feast for the eyes!

I arrived in my beautiful embellished silk blouse and the little camel coloured mini skirt, both by Chloé F/W 2010, combined with a shearling waistcoat by Ralph Lauren Black Label and a fur jacket by Prada, both from previous seasons. During the flight, I had perfered staying comfy in my flat suede Louis Vuitton boots from the Cruise 2011 collection. To protect my hair (it is raining in Florence), I put on one of my favourite hats by Balenciaga. Carine Roitfeld loves this one, too as you can see below (Photos: The Sartorialist).
In the evening, I just changed from my honey-coloured „Twenties“ micro-fishnet tights into my new „Rebecca“ tulle-look net tights with small dots, both by Wolford, and finished off my look with my green punk platform pumps by Yves Saint Laurent and my killer clutch by Balmain. Jewelry by Chanel.
Here in Florence, I am staying in a wonderful Junior Suite at the J.K.Place hotel which has a very spacious closet. You see it is quite filled…
I packed 30kg for the weekend. For fashionable days like that, you better be prepared!
LoL, Sandra
