My Look: Fun

Fun times ahead! Back to London next week, I packed my beloved Fendi boots and this super practical cashmere coat that actually feels like a cardigan. The dress is from Valentino’s Black Tie F/W 2023 collection and one of my season favorites.

My look: Leisure belted cable-knit wool and cashmere-blend cardigan by Max Mara, wool and silk-blend halterneck mini dress by Valentino, logo-embellished leather biker boots by Fendi, grooved cabochon clip earringsicon by Saint Laurenticon, My LV chain pilot sunglasses by Louis Vuitton, and Kelly Cut clutch in black Swift leather with gold hardware by Hermès.

My Look: Black Tie

For F/W 2023, Pierpaolo Piccioli takes black tie at face value, a figure of speech for a collection that builds around pieces drawn from every day. Conjecture and cultural capital are inverted – a symbol of masculine power, an emblem of orthodoxy and restriction, our preconceptions of the tie become theoretical architecture for a collection that toys with rules, emancipating meaning. Its ideological conceit is challenged, ultimately contradicted and redefined entirely.

My look: Ruffled wool and silk-blend mini dress, wool and silk-blend tie, Rockstud leather-trimmed wool fedora, and VSLING mini top handle handbag in black with sparkling embroideryall by Valentino, Astrilarge Botta 100 two-tone leather over-the-knee boots by Christian Louboutin.

My Look: Tropézienne

Feeling very «tropézienne» in the small seaside town of Saint Tropez on the French Riviera. Its fame started in the 50s and 60s, when Brigitte Bardot set foot on the soil of this fishing town. From then until today, this place never ceases to intrigue with its tiny streets and beautiful colors. A great time to come here is at the end of the season for the Voiles de St. Tropez, which is one of the most prestigious regattas in the Mediterranean. Both ultramodern yachts and rare wooden yachts participate in it. This year, it takes place between September 29, 2023 until October 8, 2023.

My look: Fringed wool and cashmere-blend jacquard scarficon, and printed stretch-jersey leggings, both by Valentino, Playboy Lips appliqué canvas book clutch by Olympia Le-Tan, black bandeau topmetal glass pearls leather earrings, and logo metal chain belt, all by CHANEL, and Jodie black suede platform sandals by Saint Laurent.

Nammos Village Party in Mykonos

If you are in Mykonos, a shopping trip to NAMMOS VILLAGE is a must for every fashion lover. Just picture this: your favourite brands in the whole world await in an amazing location under the sun at the famous Psarou beach.

12.000 m2 full of green and water elements with special art pieces create the ideal essence of luxury, 10’ away from Mykonos town, combining the Nammos beach life and gastronomic adventure with a high end shopping catwalk.

Each year on July 17, the iconic NAMMOS VILLAGE Party takes place where the high end fashion houses invite their top customers from all over the world for a night under the stars. I was guest of VALENTINO and flew in for this occasion.

After a wonderful cocktail reception and some shopping, we enjoyed a seated dinner outside before burning of the calories to the sounds of Alessandro Ristori. Enjoy some impressions of the night and for the outfit post, click here please.

Valentino New Rockstud Ballerinas

As part of Valentino’s Pre-fall 2023 collection, the French house spotlights its signature Rockstud accessories in the new «I mean…it’s Rockstud!» campaign featuring a pair of must-have Rockstud ballerinas that I don ‘t want you to miss and that might have already spotted in yesterday’s outfit post.

These flats come with the statement studs lining the exterior, balancing style and wearability while being ultra stylish. Available in different colourways and an alternative model with a strap running up the mid-calf, which I also couldn’t resist, the design highlights Valentino’s seamless ability to inject classic items with a bold twist.

This is your chance to chime in nicely with the current balletcore trend.

My Look: Maruja Mallo

For summer, Jonathan W. Anderson seeked inspiration for its Loewe collection from Spanish surrealist painter Maruja Mallo, an artist of the Generation of 1927 within the Spanish avant-garde movement. I love her her ‘Living Nature’ series and sported the print on the streets of Mykonos.

My look: Maruja Mallo-print cotton-blend jersey maxi dressicon, and font mini embellished embroidered raffia toteicon, both by Loewe, hot pink Rockstud ballerinas by Valentino, crystal bead embellished earrings by Oscar de la Renta, and Dynasty oversized geometric-frame sunglasses by Balenciaga.

My Look: Corsica

I still have so much to show you from my amazing trip on the Christina O yacht. So let’s get started. The beauty of being on a boat is that you can wake up each morning somewhere else. One of my favorite parts of our route was Corsica and this cute little place at the beach.

Tucked away on Aaron Beach, known for its pristine white sand and sparkling turquoise waters, Café de la Plage is a beautiful beachfront restaurant that offers a relaxed atmosphere and French, Mediterranean and European cuisine, if you are in Corsica, don’t miss it.

My look: Zamia bead-embellished embroidered tulle-paneled printed halterneck swimsuit, and Zamia fringed crochet-trimmed printed chiffon pareoicon, both by PatBO, Rockstud PVC jelly sandalsicon by Valentino, Scarab Mustique 24kt gold-plated choker by Begüm Khan, butterfly sunglasses with rainbow letters, long necklace with coin charms, earrings with coin charms, and logo brooch, all by CHANEL, triangle-logo claw hair clip by Prada, and vertical Dior book tote by Dior.

First launched in 2012 as a more modest version, the new take as skyrocketing platforms are now available in many versatile options, not only super stylish, but also ultra comfortable to dance the nights away.

My collection has become pretty extensive … it takes two to tango, or probably three, four, five …

Albella Privé

When I came back from Athens, I went immediately to Widder Hotel in Zurich where my Valentino girls, Gianfranca and Elisa, had prepared a beautiful surprise birthday dinner for our dear friend Albena Gateva.

Albena loves butterflies and the transformation. Therefore she made the animal her logo.

Albena and I had met at a CHANEL fashion show and have become immediately friends as we both share the same love for fashion. The Bulgarian born bombshell took her passion a step further and launched Albella Privè in the summer of 2020 during the pandemic. Her project was to recreate the human connection that became unstable and uncertain during this difficult historical time.

Her purpose was to create communicative seams, weaves and plots for the most loved ones, her friends. Albena wanted to reinvent a pure and sincere expressive language through her clothes that speak of complicity, friendship, intuition, affection, beauty and being a woman: this is how Albella Privé was born.

For her birthday, her best friend Tula Schuker, who had just been the cover girl in Albella Privè for Glamour Bulgaria, and I wore Albella Privé brocade jackets.

Tula and me in Albella Privé.

At the moment you can find her designs at Blu Boutique in Lugano and on her website.

A beautiful nod to Valentino: The Rockstud birthday cake.

Happy Birthday, Albena! I am sure we will see so much more from you soon…

LoL, Sandra

Albena framed by her best friends: Tula and Cristina Valcuende, who had flown in from Spain.

Bravo Elisa and Gianfranca! You organized the surprise so well!
