The new queen of accessories, Amina Muaddi, has shaped a whole new style. Varied influences reflect Muaddi’s eclectic taste and the cosmopolitan sensibility she brings to her designs. Here you see me wearing her beautiful pieces that take center stage of this vibrant look at Baur’s in Zurich.
My look: Paneled faille and ribbed wool and cashmere-blend sweater, and pleated cotton-blend faille mini skirt, both by Valentino, Gilda super mini crystal-embellished lamé tote, Begum Swarovski crystal-embellished lamé slingback pumps, and Begum mini silver-tone crystal earrings, all by Amina Muaddi.

Stay fashionable in the cooler winter temperatures by layering sweaters, tops and cardigans – all in style of course! A good rule of thumb is to start off with all three layers on, then as you start to feel a little too warm, shed a layer. Great news is that you can wear the pieces alone all year long. The trick is to pair them together smartly – think stylish, not bulky and put the thickest piece as the last one. Personally speaking, nothing keeps me as warm as a great mixture of layers.
My look: Colorful long cardicoat (Coco Neige 2020), black top with cross design (F/W 2020 Look 13), stirrup wool pants (Pre-fall 2020 Métiers d’Art «Paris-31 rue Cambon» Look 9), multicolored stone and pearl necklace (Pre-fall 2019 Métiers d’Art «Paris – New York»), velvet clutch with colorful stone embellishments (F/W 2020 Look 52), hair clip with pearls and vintage square plexiglass ring, all by CHANEL, ruffle-trimmed lace and ribbed-knit sweater by Valentino, black fur snow boots by Prada Linea Rossa, and pearl embellished cat eye sunglasses by Dolce & Gabbana.

Today some creative vibes from my side. The toughest part of my outfit posts is getting the photos done. My daughter used to do them for me, but since she moved to Boston, I lost my photographer. Being dependent on others is something I hate. Therefore I decided I will start taking them myself, and here is my first try. It is quite time-consuming, putting on the timer, running into position and hoping for the best. However, I think you still get a good impression of today’s look. Light blue and nude blend in perfectly with the landscaping in Gstaad and Valentino’s new Roman Studs are just beautiful. Wouldn’t you agree?
My look: Crystal-embellished belted wool and silk-blend crepe mini dress, and Roman Stud quilted leather shoulder bag, both by Valentino, Iriza 100 patent-leather pumps by Christian Louboutin, and Rosamund silk-faille headband by Jennifer Behr.

New Year is the time to start a new chapter of life. Personally speaking, every day that you walk, you add valuable time onto your life. I enjoyed the fresh morning air on the first day of 2021 in Gstaad, getting a clear mind and the calories of last night burnt, all snuggled up in my cozy teddy coat and sweater.
My look: Teddy Bear Icon camel hair and silk-blend coat by Max Mara, sequin-embellished Polo bear jumper by Polo Ralph Lauren, Luck Lady stola by Louis Vuitton, silk satin-trimmed georgette shorts by Tom Ford, Trekkgirl snow boots by Valentino, Cassandre small suede shoulder bag by Saint Laurent, and bow-detailed embellished velvet headband by Philip Treacy.
Wishing you 12 months of success, 52 weeks of laughter, 365 days of fun, 8,760 hours of joy, 525,600 minutes of good luck, and 31,536,000 seconds of happiness.

A completely different kind of year. 2020 will be seared in all our memories. It’s been a year that has fundamentally changed the world. Long established certainties about what we think is safe and what we believe is healthy in all areas of our lives have been challenged.
I would have never thought that when we shot these photos, this would be my only Christmas post and that I would be diagnosed just a little later with COVID-19. Spending the festive days all by myself in isolation is what I would call bad timing. However, I am extremely grateful that I have not spread the virus and that I have not been showing severe symptoms.
My look: Hooded quilted glossed-shell down jacket, printed silk-twill playsuit, and Rockstud leather knee-high boots, all by Valentino, monogram-print face mask by Dolce & Gabbana, black and white Dior 30 Montaigne large brim bucket hat with veil, and medium D-Lite Bag in Lights embroidery, both by Dior.
Warmest season’s greetings of good health, love, happiness, peace and prosperity from me to you!

In 2009, Valentino caused a fashion frenzy when its creative directors at that time power duo, Pierpaolo Piccioli and Maria Grazia Chiuri, came up with what would be one of the maison’s most fortuitous accessories: the Rockstud sandals. With their dainty shape and small pyramidal studs, the shoes were immediately loved by fashionistas around the globe.
Me with some Rockstud details
Now in the creative directorship solo, Piccioli is celebrating the style’s 10th anniversary with a new program called Valentino Garavani Rockstud X. Categorized as an «open lab» the series will see Piccioli collaborate with a rotating cast of guest designers on the Rockstud. First up: the conceptual British designer Craig Green (see cover photo). Already known for his partnerships with Moncler and Adidas, this is the first time Green has reached the upper echelons of the fashion world, where arguably Valentino reigns. The Valentino x Craig Green collaboration product will be unveiled in early January 2021 while the product is set to launch in stores around late February 2021.
However, you don’t need to wait until February to get your hands on something very beautiful from Valentino. For S/S 2021, Piccioli is making the Valentino Rockstud bigger and better than ever, as the Rockstud take on gargantuan proportions, embellishing gladiator sandals and bags that will be a big hit. So-called Roman studs, Roman architecture inspired this iconic motif able to manifest the Maison’s bourgeois and punk essences.

Sure, your social calendar might be a little light on galas, but that doesn’t mean you cannot sport the newest accessories trend on the street. While your natural styling inclination is likely to pair these elbow-length gloves with all things formal, designers showed us that doesn’t have to be the case. Opera gloves are all the rage elevating any day outfit to another level of style.

During a few weeks in the fall season, nature presents us with various shades of yellow, orange, red, purple, and brown. They make the perfect backdrop to sport an outfit in intense hues that involves using «blocks of color» to create a bold, eye-catching look.
